Served 2 pieces of dried out fish. I tried to eat it but extremely hard and couldn't.

I would like to say that the staff is super nice and courteous but the food I received was terrible. Very disappointing. Served 2 pieces of dried out fish. I knew it was too brown but still tried to eat it and it was gross.

Long John Silver's is located on Brenwood Street in a shopping plaza near the local Wal-Mart. I have eaten here a few times over the past year, so consider this review a bit of an amalgam of my experiences. As of now, LJS is a preferred meet up spot with one of my old neighbors. Like most franchises, LJS teamed up with A&W several years ago and opened a blended concept. There is some available storefront parking and a drive-thru lane for those who aren't looking to stick around. The interior reveals a lot more seating, a mix of booths and small tables. Walk up to the counter to put in an order. Menu items include and aren't limited to fried fish filets, chicken, shrimp, grilled fare, grilled and breaded vegetables, rice, hamburgers... I mean, dang. There's a little bit of something for everyone. Aside from the root beer, I can't comment on the A&W side of the menu. I typically stick to fried fish combos with rice and vegetables. The chicken is decent, but I find that I can't quite handle overbreaded foods, especially if they dry out from being under heat lamps. The fish strikes that right balance of breading, flavor, and salt. As far as the sides go, the rice pilaf is pretty solid and customers can tell that the green beans were cooked with a sufficient amount of pork. I also appreciate that cashiers tend to bring your food directly to you if the restaurant isn't busy. That's sweet of them. If I had to ding the restaurant on anything, it'd be cleanliness. On more than one occasion, I've sat down (or worse, sat in) crumbs or food items dropped into the seats or had an uncomfortable stickiness on my flip-flops while walking through the place. Nonetheless, I make it a point to ring the Captain's bell on the door on my way out. They're that reliably good.

We ordered raw oysters, fish and chips, chicken tenders, and fresh-sliced tomatoes. Everything was fantastic, and the service was excellent from start to finish. You can really tell they care about both the food and the experience. I completely forgot to take pictures of our food because we were too busy enjoying it! Ketch is definitely a new go-to for us when we're visiting UK's campus, which is just a short drive away. We'll absolutely be back!

Atmosphere was quite loud due to the acoustics and everything is hard surfaces. Including chairs. I like a comfortable chair instead of the 'we're going to make it so hard you won't out stay your welcome'. Service was very good and prices equally reasonable especially for the amount of food served. We weren't starving, but had a full to-go box between our two meals. The food was in the average category even though everything was well prepared and presented. (Hot/fresh). Just not a lot of flavor. Hush puppies decent but not much taste. Coconut fried shrimp about the same. Had to use the dipping sauce for flavor. Fries are fries. Cheese grits not very tasty and were bland sprinkled with a little cheese. Thicker than mortar! Key lime pie was excellent despite I'm not sure if they used key limes. Appears homemade with some actual zest on top. Although not 'limey' enough, good crust and custard base. Atmosphere-3. Food-3. Service-4. Value-4. I'd go back and probably try less fried food. Could be they haven't changed the oil frequently enough.

By the time I left at 6:30 it was packed with a wait of ~10 people. I sat at the bar and the bartender was attentive and friendly. The menu seems very diverse with a lot of delicious sounding options. The beer menu is on the back with a QR code. As it was Burger Week, I went with their Signature Burger for $7 with a side of tots. The burger was a Spicy Pimento Burger with bacon jam, pickles, and lettuce. The burger was 4oz which was a great size to fill you up but not make you overly full. The burger was not overly seasoned and didn't have a ton of flavor, however the combination of toppings really enhanced the flavor and made it delicious. The tots were perfectly crisp and the Cajun seasoning really enhanced them nicely. All 4 of the beers in the flight were tasty but not overly powerful. Of the 4, the Tart and Tempered was the best as a light sour. I would recommend a visit and look forward to trying some other menu items.

I was so impressed by Wrigley Taproom and Eatery. The menu is small and not printed, instead…read moredisplayed on several blackboards adorning the walls, attractively written with colored chalks. As a "farm-to-table" type of place, many of the items included the name of the farm where the ingredients came from. As it was fairly busy I sat at the bar so as not to tie up a 4-seat table. Soon after sitting a pleasant smoky aroma filled the room and I saw the bartender fiddling with a kitchen torch. Making a Smoked Old Fashioned. So that's what I got. What bourbon, he asked. I wasn't sure so he walked me over to the side of the bar and there were so many! I decided on one arbitrarily, a local craft brand, and he approved. Only a $3 upcharge from the standard one. It was very good, though not as smoky as I expected. The cherry was premium, not the standard bar maraschino. I do like an Old Fashioned, but I sort of wished I noticed the list of specialty cocktails first, which were really unusual and intriguing. Such as the "Garden Gnome": Vodka, yuzu, olive juice, basil, St. Germaine, and gin. For beer lovers, a very large diverse selection, from Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, Rhode Island, and Mexico. Most of the entrees are a la carte. Order sides separately if you want them. I decided on tacos, with sides of fries and roasted brussels sprouts. This works here even for a single diner because the sides are small and inexpensive ($4 and $5), though a larger size is also offered. The entrees also were reasonable, most $15. Even the Wagyu Steak was just $29, complete with sides. I've seen prices from $40 to $60 elsewhere. The tacos were Birria, which is a Mexican style of slow cooking meat - short rib in this case - seasoned with adobo. They included mozzarella cheese, cilantro, and pickled onions and cabbage. The flour tortillas were deep-fried and more substantial than usual. Two sauces were offered in tiny bowls. One was thin and was probably the braising liquid from the meat and the other white and speckled with green herbs, sort of like a raita. Very good. The fries, crispy, hand cut, crispy, and seasoned, were also very good. And the roasted brussels sprouts were amazing. The best ever - though I seem to say that often. Sauced relatively heavily in sweet maple glaze, tender, and not at all bitter. I was surprised that there were no seafood items on the menu other than the Smoked Salmon BLT taco. And vegetarians might have a problem here. Not much to choose from other than the Big Ass Pretzel or a green salad. For dessert I had Bourbon Butter Cake, with peaches, Amaro (a peach liqueur), bourbon, and ice cream. Good but it could have used more bourbon and liqueur. And it was warmed and served in a small cast-iron skillet so the ice cream was too melted for my liking. That's my fault. I usually ask for these types of dessert not to be warmed. The great meal was matched by the decor and ambience. Pretty brick walls, decorative chandeliers, and a huge welcoming rainbow flag. Maybe that keeps the MAGAs away. That's fine. They can eat at Chick-fil-A. (Joking. Everybody is welcome here.)

5/5 Stars -- Easily one of the absolute best dining experiences in Kentucky…read more We stumbled upon this gem on Main Street in Corbin, KY today, and it completely blew us away. Located in a beautifully restored 1913 Greyhound bus station, it brings a masterclass in farm-to-table dining with original brick-and-mortar charm. It's authentic, eclectic, and classy without an ounce of pretension--you'll feel just as comfortable rolling in fresh off a lake day as you would celebrating a special occasion. What we ordered (and you need to try): Wagyu Sirloin ($29): We need to talk about this. Served with asparagus and a twice-baked potato for $29, this is easily the single best value dish within a 100-mile radius. Unbelievable quality. Salmon BLT Tacos: Pure perfection, especially after a day on the water. Burrata Cheese & Peach Salad: Absolute fire. Fresh and perfectly balanced. Birria Tacos: Exceptionally rich flavor and executed flawlessly. Blueberry Tiramisu & Limoncello: A shocker of a dessert pairing to end the night--completely knocked it out of the park. The Bar: Drinks are poured with a heavy hand and crafted strong. The open-kitchen concept lets you see the passion this team puts into their craft. Huge thanks to Draven for the warm welcome at the door, and to Laura in the kitchen who pointed us directly toward the must-try dishes and nailed every recommendation. Don't let the reasonable prices fool you--this isn't just "good for Corbin." This is foodie-certified, top-tier dining anywhere in the country. A new absolute favorite. Thank you to the whole team for doing what you do!
