We stopped in yesterday evening for drinks and appetizers. We sat at the bar and were greeted a familiar face, Silas, who was bartending. We had a couple draft beers which were ice cold. For appetizers, we had the Spicy Chicken Bites (the sweet and spicy chili ginger sauce is delicious) and the Seasoned Steakhouse Wings. We also got the complimentary bread. I have eaten at the restaurant twice since their opening. Once for lunch with a party of 3 and in the afternoon with a party of 14. Both times, the wait staff was exceptional! The second time that I ate there- we had the Parmesan Fries, Parmesan Spinach artichoke dip and the stuffed mushrooms. All came out hot, fresh and DELICIOUS! We were seated promptly in a very dirty dining area. The floor looked like it hadn't been swept all day. There were plenty of open tables so not really sure what everyone was doing. Our server was very short (not in height) and definitely not friendly. He did bring a refill but other than that was not attentive what so ever. I ordered the 6 oz sirloin. Definitely terrible. It was nothing but gristle and had to spit out nearly every bite. The ranch had a chemical taste to it so my salad wasn't edible. The t-bone was delicious ,however, and so was the spinach dip. The potatoes were nice and fluffy but they were stingy on the toppings. I expected a more pleasant experience and a steak and salad that were edible. Left disappointed. read more

We had a great meal today at the new Longhorn Steakhouse in Richmond. Our amazing waitress was Andrea who did an excellent job. I had the half-pound burger, with bacon, lettuce, onion, tomato, pickles, their signature burger sauce, and American cheese. Ordered the burger medium-well with fries. I also had a side salad. Side salad was fresh and cold. Burger was very good, bacon was crispy. Burger was slightly over cooked to well done, but was ok. It was a little heavy on the seasonings (salt?), but overall a good meal. Fries were crispy and hot. This restaurant has just opened, so they are going through the same 'newborn' issues that every restaurant has when opening, but we will definitely return! read more

Not a good experience. Not very busy when I can in around 845pm. Greeting staff was nice and the server assigned to me was as well. Drink and bread right off the bat and that's where the good experience ended. Ordered the mushrooms which flavor wise were fantastic. Took awhile for them to come out which it was an appetizer but I had already put my order in which was a ribeye with loaded baked potato and salad. I didn't receive my salad for another 20 minutes after the mushrooms. Salad was ok, heavy on croutons, basically it was a croutons salad with some lettuce, cucumber, cheese and tomatoes. Waited even longer before someone brought me my food which turns out it wasn't even mine so they took that away. 10 minutes later I'm told my meal got mixed up in the kitchen and they have to redo the whole thing and by the way, we are now out of baked potatoes. I had to order the broccoli instead which when it came out was basically mush. The ribeye itself was so oily that you couldn't taste any of the seasoning on it at all. Personally I would steer clear of this place and save your money for a place that you will get a better quality meal at. read more

All employees we met from the Greeters to waiters seem scattered . we waited 35 minutes on our Drinks and over a hour for our food . I understand it's a new location , But service was lacking .. Had to put 1 star as they won't let me post. We were really excited to try this new restaurant, but it ended up being a big disappointment. We ordered the Wild West shrimp, which was overly salty, and the Red Rock grilled shrimp with rice. The shrimp were just regular-sized, not the jumbo shrimp advertised on the menu and were overcooked. Our waitress only came by twice--once to bring bread and refill our drinks, and the next time was to drop off the bill. Sorry, not going back. read more

To be honest, we've never been to a LongHorn that wasn't good, so wasn't even gonna do a review, but the waitstaff was so attentive & friendly both times (even on Sunday when it was very busy). We thought we would start early, 5pm since they just opened about a week or two ago and the place would be packed. I got online and found out they had jumping, jump wait or what ever it's called. You put your name down and it would tell you the wait time and when you get there you check inn with them and they show you as arrived and your already on the wait list, or that's what we were told. At 5pm it was an hour or so wait, when we got there we were told it would be another 2 Hours. Others that were not on the web wait site got seated before us, go figure. We were to hungry to wait so we went home and had PBJs. 2 days later around 3pm we showed up, greeted with smiles from all three people at the front area/station, seated at a booth by the kitchen/bar walk way. Everything was clean except the silver ware x3 tries for clean, no food chunks on forks. Bread was hot and tasty with butter that was not sweet. They need to know that tonic water is not Tha same as soda water but I didn't care. The side salads had no brown leaves and mine was good and my wife's would have been great if it was the way she wanted, but the ingredients were fresh and cold. My porterhouse came coverd in spices and swimming in butter. After 2 bites the tenderloin part was gone and after 3 bites my mouth was on fire from the salty spices and I couldnt eat any more of it. I finished the fantastic sweet potatoe and bread. My wife's grilled chicken was also soaked in spices, but they call a griddle a grill and the sides were like leather and the center was raw, it was also marinated and the menu does NOT mention marinade even though a female manager (?) said the menu does. Over all the place is clean, nice looking, every one is polite, courteous, helpful, and nice. The food is on the high side of a steak house but could be worth it. If I would have know how they did things, oh never-mind that food was over priced, over spiced, over rated, over cooked, and over simplified. Just keep to basics. The service was GREAT!... The ambiance was great. The place was NOT overly loud. And we only had to wait a modest amount of time for two people. They did NOT try to host/seat more guests than could be comfortably taken care of. The employees were quite busy hut not overwhelmed forgetting things and patrons should compensated. read more

Food is good, but kitchen service is grade-A terrible. Been here three times since the establishment opened and each time our food took forever. Two of three occasions it was not crowded at all. One evening, on July 4th, we were the only customers that evening yet our food took 45 mins to come out. Staff is okay. The hosts upfront aren't very friendly at all nor seem to understand their position. FYI bring a jacket or something to keep warm. Restaurant is always freezing. Might try again in 6-12 months, but they are subpar at best right now. read more

It's been 10 days since Longhorn Steakhouse opened in Richmond. This is my first lunch review. We arrived around 1:30 to a short wait of about 15 minutes. They were busy but the lobby wasn't overly crowded with those hungry for lunch. We looked over the menu while we waited. We got our table in less than 15 minutes. It was a nice booth. The dining room is spacious so it's easy to feel comfortable. I ordered the steakhouse burger and my wife got the soup and salad. We had previously started on the warm bread and butter. The salad came with an appropriate amount of dressing and the soup was a combination of shrimp and lobster. It looked creamy and rich and was full of lobster and shrimp. My burger was cooked to order medium to well and was deliciously seasoned. The burger comes fully dressed with cheese, lettuce , onion and tomato. It was one of the best burgers Ive eaten. The fries were not good. They were warm to cold so I sent them back. My server Sierra didn't get ruffled ( I told her nicely) She had another order setting on the table in less than a minute. I got along great with her. When food isn't what you think it should be let the server know. Also let them know with respect. Her positive attitude saved the lunch for me. Eating out is noticeably more expensive these days , but this lunch for 2 was 25.12 including soft drinks, but not the tip. It seems like a great value to me. They have a nice selection of sides available. This eliminates the upselling that seems popular today . It also keeps the tab a little lower. I'll be back Longhorn. Ask for Sierra . Longhorn is one of my fav. Their quality is the perfection of the steak, little disappointed, Well done is not Medium. Even the waitress made sure that what I wanted. I suggest whoever the cook is to get on a roll in perfecting those steaks or there was a mishap on the waitress part in ordering however it is the Longhorn reputation that I know. So kinda of hard tell someone to change it because it pass the stage and extent the wait was unnecessary. I enjoyed It tho and everything was served well. Arrived today at just after 4 pm and was told wait time was 10-15 minutes and we gave name and phone number. We were the only people in waiting area and sat nearest the host stand on the bench. After over 30 minutes waiting and watching many people seated and now being told 20-25 minutes I asked if we were next. They said sorry they could not find our name and number. Gave a chance to offer seating us immediately and ultimately we just left after an awkward pause. We were literally witty as close as possible to the staff of 3 hostesses and never got seated. read more

overall a 10/10 experience. the wait time was nonexistent. the server was on point and kept making sure we had everything we needed. the food was even better! tell the chef i hope he never runs into traffic, always has a cold pillow, and never steps on a lego again. we will be back! also, didn't think to take a picture of our plates but they were beautiful! The condiments were flying and unfortunately, they flew all over my poor mother and daughter. If you want to get sauced like a salad before you even get your food this is the place for you. Unfortunately that's not what we wanted. We wanted a nice lunch for my mother's birthday. She had to sit with her back and hair covered while she ate. They didn't offer to compensate her food or to let us leave, only the cleaning or replacement of her top. She had to run home and shower, her nice birthday hair ruined and outfit as well. It was not our server that dropped the dressings it was another server. No one knew how to handle the situation properly and it was a mess literally and figuratively. If you are brave enough to go, take a rain jacket, ask for a booth and ask for Shana. We won't be going back in person but takeout should be safe I pray. read more
