    Fish, Chicken & Shrimp Platter

Service was decent. The lady that gave me my food kind of had a "didn't give a crap" vibe. But the food was good though for long John Silver. I don't come here too often based on trying to stay away from fried food, but there were other options available besides fried. I might come back. Somewhat clean inside and the prices are moderate.

This is where they put you when your waiting on your food.

Food, is very important and it is very important to have fresh food that is all the way cooked. Today , I will explain why this location is not the best service in town. Let's start with presentation. Food is not made right or not cooked long enough. Almost seems to me that they take it out the grease early just to rush their customers or they will give customers food thats been sitting around for a while. Take a look at this photo I took today of the food I received today. So many things wrong with it. Missing side items. Food not cooked or wasn't done correct. The chicken doesn't even look like a full piece. They had me waiting in the back of their resturants while they re made my order and the second time was worst then the first time. I believe they do this on purpose? Why, I am not sure. But I do know I have had friends of mine get better food then what I got today. Very upsetting. I would not recommend this place at all.

I was traveling through the area and decided to stop here. I had the two piece fish combo. It was fresh and hot. The cashier, Kaitlyn M. was extremely pleasant and brought my food to my table. She asked me if everything looked correct and told me to enjoy my lunch. The place was clean and conveniently located off the interstate.

Tried to order at 9:51 last night and NO One answered the drive thru. Granted it was close to closing, but it was not 10pm.

The ahi tuna is absolutely fantastic--fresh, flavorful, and beautifully done every time. And the filet sliders are a must: tender, rich, and perfectly indulgent. What really sets Malibu apart, though, is the people. Owner JB (John Bailey) has created something special here, and it shows in every detail. The staff is consistently excellent, and Tyler at the bar is one of our favorites--always welcoming and on point. Great food, great atmosphere, and genuinely great people. This is one of those iconic Bloomington spots that keeps you coming back.

Other guests were frustrated with the poor planning and left, but we stuck it out because the weather was bad and, well, we figured a reservation should actually mean something. Then came the food wait. We ordered quickly and still waited another hour and a half. The cherry on top was that the takeout containers wouldn't even close properly. The food was okay. Dry. I would rather go somewhere else. We won't be back.

Excellent Thai restaurant with high marks for food, service, and atmosphere…read more I've tried the Thai fish cakes, sweet and sour saute, pad bus sa ra com, mango sticky rice, and Thai iced tea and coffee. The savoury dishes were all super flavourful, cooked well, and generously portioned. Maybe this has something to do with the dishes I got, but I think the flavours here are generally more intense than the other Thai restaurants I've tried in Bloomington, and their spice levels might be a little higher. I've been somewhat underwhelmed by level 3 (out of 5) at other places, so I tried level 4 the first time I ordered here, and it was a little too hot, so I went back to level 3 the next time, and it was just right. The Thai tea and coffee were both very good, especially the coffee. It almost tasted chocolatey. The service is consistently on top of it. I was there on Valentine's Day, and they were slammed but had enough staff on the floor for it; the food was quick as usual and everyone was still very friendly. I also love the atmosphere here. The building is one of the converted houses on 4th St, and there are different dining rooms, some with lots of windows, all filled with interesting decor, and there's also a very nice patio during the warmer seasons. The only problem here is, unless there's a back entrance I don't know about, I don't think the building is wheelchair accessible; you have to go up a few stairs to get to the main entrance.

All were great, fresh ingredients, served in concert, and quickly, too. This was a family meal, and all were delighted, including the children with chicken fingers and fries. We're trying to expand their horizons, but picky eaters are tough. The appetizers were especially good, and each has their own different sauce. My order was well-spiced, and there was enough taken home for a second delicious meal. This is perhaps the best and most consistent Thai food in Bloomington. There are rivals to this high throne, and we try them, too, but this is our go-to for no-compromise Thai, every order consistently great.

Got hibachi, we always get the chicken and steak, prices have gone up since we started coming here…read moreso for 2 adults with s&c, you're looking at around 75-100$. I got the shrimp tempura, and it was cold, and tasted like it was yesterdays. No crunch to the tempura whatsoever. i asked if they make it per order or one giant batch then use throught the day and the lady looked very confused. Ice cold shrimp, soggy breading, not a good mixture. Ive never had an issue with the tempura. Dinner was excellent of course. Recommend 10/10 Might want to skip sushi though. I dont recommend that. So I've read some of the reviews about how this place is really dark and dingy, when you first walk in lights are on you can see what you're doing you can see everybody there's a bar to your right and there's Booth seating for non hibachi. When you walk through the doors you're right at the desk to check in. If you look straight you can see the Hibachi room. This is a darker room so it can be more intimate. With the whole fire going on the grill, keeping it dim in the room gives it a "wow" factor and to set the mood/ambiance. Its not so dark you cant see, its just not as bright. If it's a bright room and you're having all of these fire tricks going on it's not a big wow factor. I've never had a metallic taste happen in this restaurant, nothing is wrapped in tinfoil, and I've been coming here since I moved here in 2010. Now you can sometimes get overcooked food here if the chef is overworked, but as long as you talk to them and tell them that it is overcooked they'll remake it for you. Or they'll take it off your check. Everyone here is easy going even on a super busy day. I've never had attitude from anybody. Also they don't use a bunch of sauce to Overcoat your food with flavor. A lot of other places will just load it up with teriyaki sauce and the other sauce that I can't think of the name of but the reason why they do that is because the food isn't fresh here the food is fresh. They use fresh ingredients. I've been to other Hibachi places where in their vegetables they add corn and green beans which ruins the whole flavor and then when they're cooking on the grill they add jarred garlic which is a whole different flavor that doesn't mix with the Hibachi experience. Everything is cut in front of you so if you don't think that your chicken is correctly colored you can see it and you can tell them. Again if you don't like something TALK TO THEM. They dont bite.

This place has went downhill in the past ten years. Now it is overpriced and mediocre at best. The…read morehibachi lacked flavor. The service is nothing to write home about. Will not go back.
