I've lived in thompson for many years.And i've never been to long john silver before.So I gave it a try and honestly, i'm very impressed.The only thing I have a bit of an issue with is that the fish seem to be very dry. But it was really great with ranch, so I can't complain much about it.The service was excellent and every bit of the food was wonderful.I even like the chocolate cheesecake.Which is a pretty great thing because not many fast food restaurants actually have great cheesecake.So I can't complain about this.Whatsoever. Wonderful restaurant just need to work on making sure that the fish isn't so dry or tough to eat next time. read more

Thursday August 10, 2023 One of the best LJS locations I have been to. The ordering process was super fast. The individual who placed my order was super nice, polite, and cheerful. The other staff she interacted with were as well. I ordered 96 hush puppies in the order. They had the order out to us in what seemed like record time, a few minutes. Some locations I have waited up to an hour. The grounds were clean. Thank you all for a great experience at your LJS. Next time we are near Augusta again, I'll be sure to come back to your location. read more

Stopped in here when I arrived in Thomson and was disappointed to say the most. Out of cod. Out of green beans. Out of corn. Ordered the pollock which wasn't bad. Wasn't good but at least it didn't stink up my hotel room. No crumbles and underdone hush puppies. Been to many long John silvers which I kinda like but this one needs help. Gave three stars but it's more like 2.5. read more

It's been a minute since we had Long John Silvers but oh it was so so good! Not overcooked cod filets.. add fries, hush puppies and crunchies with tartar sauce & malt vinegar and it all made for a wonderful lunch. Yes, the fish was cooked in grease but fresh and not overpowering. The restaurant was clean and staff extremely helpful. Next trip near Thompson we will be back! read more

We are fans of Long John Silver's. This is the one we stop at when on our way out of town, as there is no longer a LJS in Augusta. They are not the fastest of fast food places, however the food is always fresh and hot. The staff are friendly and keep the restaurant decently clean. One thing about LJS is the food quality and plate sizes have not gone downhill with the changing times. I cannot say that for D other fish place! Stop by and give this location a try. read more

Went there Monday for lunch. Don't go often as we live in Augusta. The service was friendly but a little slow due to COVID. Food came out pretty fast. The tacos were great. The two fish plate was delicious. I got the shrimp and fish. First time trying their shrimp but it won't be the last. All the food was hot and freshly cooked. The only downside was the cashier call out the orders constantly in a loud voice. Suprising how many people dont hear their order. This was my first time in Long John Silvers. Got the fried fish basket. Service was slow and the fish tasted weird, I couldn't work out if it was the fish was bad or there was some weirdness with the batter. Fries and hush puppies were good. The food looked great it was just this weird taste that was putting me off. Would I go again - I would try them again at some point. read more

Aweful resatauraunt. Bathrooms gross and dirty and smelled of strong urine. Fish didn't taste right. Chicken wasn't cooked all the way. Tables were dirty. The only thing good about the place is that the staff was polite. read more

This review would have a much higher rating if it was based on the food. It was very fresh and good. The low rating is based on the cleanliness of the place. Very dirty. When we arrived, staff was relaxing in the booths - tables and floors dirty. The bathrooms were just plain nasty. The health department needs to do unexpected visits as do the reps for LJS. read more

The best Long John Silver LJS) in Georgia! Their fish & shrimp are the best; hot & fresh. Even the fries was hot & goods also.Their customer service was great. I don't care if you are sitting down to eat or go thru the drive thru window, the customer service is great. Every time I return from Augusta to home I always stop at exist 172, Thomson, GA, to get some hot food at LJS. When others are riding with me I tell them about LJS & we stop to eat their also. They agreed with me. They love the meals too at LJS. read more

Ordered 5 meals. 2 meals came without french fries. No cole slaw with any of the meals. You would think after waiting almost 1/2 hour for the order it would be right. I don't know why my wife never checks orders before leaving the business, but she should not have to. At least I have the satisfaction of knowing she will not need to check orders from LJS again, as we will not be doing business there. read more

The food was clod and very greasy. The grease they are frying in is old and rancid. The food had a sour stale taste to it. The restaurant was filthy and in need of repair. Everything felt sticky. We watched a staff member wipe off two tables with the same cloth and then wipe her hands and the garbage area. She then used the same cloth to wipe off a serving tray and put the tray back in the stack for another customer to use. The staff does not use hair covers or gloves. I use to eat here when I was working in Thomson and the place was great, but that was over 4 years ago and the place is a real dump. The outside looks as bad as the inside. I am surprised they have not made someone sick with all of the filth. Avoid at all cost. read more
