Thoroughly enjoyed our date lunch today. We got here shortly after opening, which meant a quiet restaurant and plenty of tables. Around 1145 they usually pick up and sometimes it may be a bit of a wait to find a table, but I find it worth it. My wife had the BBQ chicken, which was chunked and off the bone, very flavorful and not messy, which allowed her to eat it with a fork. Different than other places, but a nice change. I had the Rib Plate and while the ribs were good, especially with the spicy sauce, the okra was simply excellent. I don't know who was in the kitchen, but they did a wonderful job! Normally we both leave something on the plate after we are done eating, but not today. Thank you for a great meal. read more

been wanting to try this place for quite some time. The food was a complete and total letdown. The macaroni and cheese was just watered down powdered grossness. The fried okra was undercooked and just terrible. The ribs have no flavor and seem like they were just cooked too quickly. The pulled pork was decent enough and the chicken tenders were probably fine for a child but still not good. Definitely not going back to this establishment again. The only thing decent I got was the smoked wings and even then I would say they were just about as good as any place else but nothing special. $30 in food and I threw most of it away. read more

First time trying authentic southern bbq and pleasantly surprised! Cannot go wrong with sweet potato fries. The ribs and brisket were very soft and tender. I was slightly worried the meat would be too drenched in sauces but it was not. They provide various bbq sauces for you to add to your liking. Overall, delicious and friendly staff! read more

Shane Ribs is my go-to Uber meal when I'm being lazy. The food always come still hot and that pull pork is yummy.

Tried the BBQ pork and chicken plates as take out. The meat was a bit tough and dry. The flavor was ok. The ribs were much better than the rest of the entrees. The price seemed a bit much for the portion size and quality. At pick up, the order was ready on time, correct and the server was friendly. First, let me start off by saying, the service was great. Every time I come here the staff is always friendly, helpful and always have a smile on their face. I'm originally from the Low County part of of South Carolina (close to Charleston) so it's hard to impress me with barbecue. For the most part Shane's hit the mark every time. The barbecue chicken is always so good. It is literally always falling off the bone and full of flavor. I absolutely love their rewards program. Yesterday, I was able to get two free meals using my points that I collected. I still have points leftover. Now, that I told you all the good things about this establishment, here are the bad. The chicken tenders are awful! They are always either over cooked or under cooked.The ribs have a rubbery texture almost like they are under cooked. I used to enjoyed them, but now I would rather go to a place like Chili's, Outback or Ruby Tuesday. Their "chopped" chicken has the tendency to be a little misleading. Most people think is similar to the pull pork until they see the picture of it. These are the only things that I feel they would need to work on. The honey bbq and mustard ones are delish. Tasted great with no sauce but I was feeling extra savory and these sauces hit the spot. Came with 2 sides. I got the Mac and cheese and sweet potato fries. Nothing special about the sides but tastes good. My husband got the rib and wing plate. A TON of meat which made him go into a food coma. He rather enjoyed the moist and tender ribs. Food was old and cold, portions were very small, it was dirty from the floors to the tables to the bathrooms. We should have been clued in when it didn't even smell like BBQ when we walked in. Husband got a sampler platter, I got two meats, kids got chicken fingers and pulled pork sandwich, so I feel like we got a good variety. Definitely will not try another Shane's. I usually love the food at this location. However , tonight I ordered the half chicken meal with two sides . The chicken was so small it look like a tiny chick had been killed and thrown on the pit !. The chicken had a great taste but it was so tiny ! The staff is nice but tonight two girls cleaned and sprayed a bleach cleaner on the tables and mopped while we ate . It was very disruptive to our meal. One of the girls actually stood in the booth seat to lower the window shades . Her dirty feet were actually on the furniture . The strong smell of bleach was overpowering . We ate quickly and left because I got a runny nose due to the cleaner and started to get shortness of breath . I hope they do a better job next time . Normally my food orders are delicious with very few mistakes but tonight was an off night I guess. I spent $80 on six people and the smoked chicken begged for a moment of silence for it's second death. It was dry and very little meat wasn't charred to an inedible state. Hooray shane's here. And just as tasty as their restaurant on Washington road. Smells of smoked meat pulverize the nostrils as soon as you pull up the staff is friendly and know the brand. Located in the rapidly developing area of gateway plaza in grovetown Georgia. I have a feeling more parking will be needed in this area in the very near future. However this restaurant is busy from open to close. The place is spotless and new. I wonder if they will have the annual rib give away just as the washington road location. Anyway give them a go. I used to love Shane's before covid. You used to be able to get a meal with a pound of meet, 2 half racks of ribs, 4 sides, chicken tenders and wings for about $50. You'd get home and it would still be warm and the meat juicy. Well today we placed an order, no ribs with the meal, only two sides, and the meat was all dried out. The fries were all limp and cold. The meat was cold and dry. I really was just completely unimpressed. And it cost me $10 more to get less food with less quality. I deleted my app and won't be going back. Sorry folks. read more

On Saturday, My family & I ordered and ate bbq pork & chicken from Shane's in Grovetown, GA. I noticed when we were sitting down inside the restaurant the bbq pork was barely warm. It taste sort of funny I thought to myself. I wish I had taken it back. Approximately an hour later, we experienced severe stomach pain, diarrhea, and nausea. We were food poisoning. It's Monday ( Memorial Day) and we still have diarrhea and loss of appetite. I had to miss work after eating here. I have eaten at the Shane's in Evans, Ga, several times and never got sick from eating the food. The wraps are kind of plain, I was trying to be healthier one day.. we have eaten in and gotten take out and both were very easy.
