This is a well established old bar with numerous local patrons. The staff is amazingly friendly and on top of things. Checks on you often. The prices are reasonable and the food is tasty. This place is very busy on Saturdays but can't figure out why. Ordered a burger to go. It was ready when I was but, it was a mess. The bun was falling apart and soaked with ketchup, etc. It could not be picked up. Cooked to order however. That's not the whole story. Walked out of the Long Lake Bar on Sunday 430 in the afternoon maybe three people in there. The blonde haired server with ponytails was a total beach. Walked up, What do you want? We ordered pops and her response was yeah and walked away. We began looking at the menus. She walked back with the drinks that we ordered, she plopped them down on the table. My wife said thank you and she said just responded yeah again. I have never been treated so rudely going into an establishment to purchase lunch or dinner. We have been regulars for musics bingo every Wednesday for the past five weeks. Service and food was excellent so we decided to try on a Sunday while out driving around. Pizza was delicious! Love up north pizza. As far as up north style pizza goes, this was very good! Round style was on the thicker side and very filling. Cauliflower crust pizza was a hit as well! We also came here one night for some dancing and drinks. Had a blast! read more

However, when her and I went in to pick up the order...the bartender/waitress behind the bar was extremely rude to us when we asked if they had peanut butter whiskey. She gave us a dirty look and said "Peanut butter whiskey"? Like we were out of our minds for even asking....she walked away & came back minutes later and said "That's a no on the peanut butter" with an attitude....and walked away again. This is our go to place near our cabin. Good bar food and drinks. Wait staff is always friendly including today July 1 2018. It is nearly 90 degrees outside and the place is packed! Just one thing is wrong with this picture. The Owners aren't here and the air conditioner is not working or they don't have it turned on. No fans to help with the circulation of air. This is not a good environment for staff or patrons on this holiday weekend. Need to eat and leave ASAP. This review is bad because I am hot and very uncomfortable at the moment. Don't order fish and chips. Waitress was not overly complimentary but had ordered. Not sure what fish was used but not cod maybe bullhead. Burger alright and fries a bit soggy but ok and saw a pizza which looked good. Mixed drinks were not worth the money stick to beer and water. read more

Overall it was a good experience. Wait staff was friendly and fast. Only complaint is that my friend is very self conscious about his hair and the waitress did not believe it was his actual hair, but it was, swear to god. He had to tell a few other people at the restaurant that it was real as well so they would believe him. His hair is kind of light brown and long with some bangs and the waitress was joking with him about it being attached to his hat. This place has been around forever. Remember it when mom and dad had their cottage and we would go there for burgers. Food is good. Drinks are strong. Prices are cheap. Staff is friendly. However, this place is in desperate need of renovation, especially furniture. Tables and chairs have seen better days. My boyfriend and I stopped here about a week ago. We heard that they had good burgers. We were surpised when we walked in the door how run down the place was inside. Our table was wobbly, chairs ripped. Very small space, strangers sat with other strangers since there wasn't too many tables in there. Our waitress was a bit slow but she was busy. We both ordered burgers and fries. Fries were dried out and not very appetizing. Burger itself was fine, the bun on the other hand was dried out, with hard as a rock edges. The bonus here is the Wi-Fi and the Pull tab machine. There is limited cell service here so it was nice to get on the internet. Spent $20 on pull-tabs and won $103. So, the tabs paid for our meal and drinks. Not sure if I will go here again. Yeah, Uncle Kracker made his video, "Smile" here at the bar but this bar needs some major updating!! read more

My mother and her siblings spent a lot of time in the Long Lake Bar growing up. It was amazing to walk in the same steps she did over 70 years ago. The one thing I can say for sure is it has the best pizza I have ever had. The cheese bread is to die for. It is a fun atmosphere and everyone is very friendly. There is a DJ and karaoke as well. Fun for drinks, keno, & pull tabs. Food ok but overcooked this year, but, food arrived from the first person to the last in a group of 11, took 40 minutes for everyone to get their food, two people at a time. Servers could smile and use a bit of personality, for drinks a good time. read more

Just moved into my new summer home in hale mi. Went into bar around noon on a weekday. Their were 4 people total in the bar. She asked what I wanted to drink and gave me a menu. I ordered a drink and she walked away. Drink never came. waited and waited and waited. Then the phone rang and she started talking on the phone.I walked out. they gave me the attitude that they just don't care. I just moved here from California and I will eventually find the right places to go and the long lake bar is not one of them. The drinks are always cheap, cold and good. This year the food has gone down hill and is below average. We used to go there every chance we got, but there are a lot of better food choices. Everything now comes from the freezer and is pre made. read more
