I can't comment on anything else about this place except for the fruit tart. The Vietnamese style fruit tart with the puff pastry and custard is my absolute favorite type of "cake". You'll find good fruit tarts throughout Little Saigon/Westminster but what makes this place unique is that they load the fruit tart with good quality fruits (look at that picture). There is no other place that puts as much fruit as they do on their fruit tarts. I also usually wipe off the white frosting on the sides of the fruit tart because I don't typically like frosting but this bakery also does a really good job creating a yummy frosting. 100% recommend the fruit tart here. It's always a hit with every party and occasion! read more

I have come to this bakery a few times when shopping at the Westminster Supermarket off of Westminster Blvd in the City Of Westminster. I like the sweet cake balls and Chocolate Cake. Real chocolate cake with good icing here. They have Wedding Cakes, and your standard dessert cakes. These guys are awesome. read more

My go to places for cakes! They are always so yummy and you can call in advance to order or you can walk in and grab one as well. It was only natural for me to order a cake here for my wedding and it was loved by all. The cake was moist from the sponge cake and crispy from the pastry. The fruits were delicious and sweet. The pricing is good and you won't be disappointed with the cake! Place is small and they also sell flowers here and the parking lot can get pretty busy on the weekends due to it being shared with a grocery store, haircut place and banh mi store. read more

The good: I got the smallest size fruit tart cake for $45 and thought it was excellent. The price is great and the taste is 100% up my alley. I haven't seen a cake like this anywhere in NorCal. I love all of the flakey layers of phyllo dough inside. It reminds me of a Napoleon pastry. There was also tons of fruit on top that was fresh and included pineapple, cherries, strawberries, mango, and kiwi. The smallest size is enough to feed 15 people. We didn't have to order or save a cake in advance because the woman said they always have them available. I was able to get writing on my cake in 5 minutes. My mom also wanted to buy their $2 Vietnamese dessert che (pudding) and the woman threw it in for free. It was really nice of her especially because it was mom's birthday that day (and the woman didn't even know). It really made our day. The che was also delicious and fresh. The bad: The shop is pretty small inside. The interesting: The shop is also an orchard store. They have some beautiful orchids inside with interesting designs. read more

I called the day before and ordered a 6" durian cake for my friend's bday. I always have nerves and anxiety when trying a new place. I read all the reviews, both good and bad. I spent all night worried if the cake was going to be good (anyone else like this or is it just me?) One thing I was concerned with was that people mentioned the durian on the inside of the cake is frozen. I've had durian cakes before but never one where the fruit is frozen. When my friend was cutting the cake, she could instantly smell the durian and got so excited! Her mother-in-law also loves durian cake so it was a treat for everyone! I picked up the cake at 1030a. We didn't cut it until 3p and the durian inside was still slightly frozen. To my surprise, it was delicious! Everyone liked the texture of the frozen durian (almost like frozen custard). The cake was perfectly layered and not too sweet! Some guests even went for a 2nd slice and asked for information on the bakery. I will def come back! There was a reviewer who mentioned the box doesn't fit the height of the cake. I was concerned about this too but the way they store the cake, the box doesn't close all the way. I think this is only for the durian cakes since it is taller. The way they "closed" the top, it's open but it stays in that position unless you close it all the way which will ruin the top of the cake. I held the box on the drive home and it was fine. Price for the 6" durian cake was $60. They take cash and credit card. read more

This is my second time picking up a fruit cake and it is absolutely amazing. You can get anything written on the cake banner free of charge. I had a request to write happy birthday & congrats on the cake and she accommodated! This place would easily be 5/5 stars but when i went to pay my card wasn't reading and the man had to grab my card and try it. Unfortunately, his fingernails were kind of disgusting. Seemed to have some rotten nails which I get sometimes isn't preventable but there were black dirt and redness around his nails. He was the one who grabbed the cake from the display but I hope he isn't the one making them. I left the bakery a little disturbed. I hope he gets a manicure and possibly checked out. Ultimately, it would make me reconsider coming back because he could potentially be handling something we'd be eating. read more

My go-to spot for Orchids and the Napoleon Cake with tons of fresh fruit on top. They have a great orchid selection with the best prices. And we always get our Napoleon Cake from here. They only have them in 2 sizes: 1/4 sheet and 1/2 sheet, and they always so good. Parking is horrible, depending on the time of day. Service is direct. They take cash or card. Apparently if you don't know this bakery you're not Vietnamese American Bolsa OG . In the whole 10 years that I live in SoCal, I regret that I didn't find out about this place sooner. Their famous fruit cake is DA BOMB. It was so good. I served it at my baby shower the second biggest size that they have and it was cleaned out. The entire cake was gone. I myself not a cake fan but I ate so much of it I have to post about it. Don't expect much of a service since the ladies who worked here are my grandma's age so they move as quickly as they can. Be patient. Your beautiful cake will come in time. Better call to order before hand if you want the biggest size. Smaller sizes always available. read more

AWESOME cake we ordered for our baby shower and a retirement party. I think it's really one of the best values and it's a very unique sheet cake. Our guests kept raving about it and asked where we got this cake from because it's really out of the ordinary. Depending on how you cut it, one full sheet size feeds I think maybe 100 people but I think suggestion was closer to 60-80? You'll have to ask but we definitely had leftovers for people to take home. They're super nice about explaining everything and make sure to follow their instructions on how to transport and cut the cake. You do need to order in-person and pay for the cake, not sure if they'll accept phone orders too frequently for the large sheet one. read more

Wow. Hands down best fruit cake I've ever had. I have dreams about it - so much fresh fruit, brings back childhood nostalgia to the small Asian bakeries. The perfect compliment is "not too sweet". Besides the cake, the banh chung is bombdiggity ================================ Still reliable and delishhh even though the price has gone up. Price/ Quality It was $40-43 for the quarter sheet fruit cake on 10/2/22. You can still call in the day of and they have fruit cakes ready to go. Mine came with a little more ripe, sweet mango rather than canned tangerines, so that's a bit more worth. These stars are also for another product that's not as known here: banh chung! (Vietnamese sticky rice cake filled with mung bean + pork belly) It is smaller, but it's cute and yummy it's like a 3 inch cube. Couple bites. It was $3/, but it's got a good ratio of sticky rice, mung beans, and pork. Some mung beans aren't fully mashed, but that's ok cuz they provide more texture! The pork isn't dry and overall is very tasty! This is the type of place where the birthday person not only gets a wonderful cake, but an awesome banh chung too. read more

If the internet has brought you here to this business when you looked up the best and most tasty fruit cake, then you are at the right place. I did this same exact search and everyone recommended this bakery to get a sheet cake. The 1/4 sheet is $45 and they have plenty if you go early in the day. The bottom layer is a sponge cake, topped with this crispy delicious layer, then fruit and whipped cream toppings. They will do a simple writing with red syrup for free if you request it. This cake is good for 48 hours. Afterwards the crispy layer loses the crisp and it's not as good anymore. The fruit is sweet perfect, a combination of kiwi, peaches, mango, pineapples, and strawberries. The whipped cream melts fast so make sure that you have it refrigerated right before you are about to cut and consume it. Our family of 6 was able to finish a 1/4 sheet ourselves because it's so delicious but I think it can feed 8-10 easily. read more

Up until this past summer I had never tried a fruit tart cake. Never even knew it existed until my dad requested one for his birthday celebration. I'm glad my sister found Long Phung Bakery and let me know because that is where we decided to purchase my dad's cake. My sister called ahead of time and asked if a cake needed to be purchased ahead of time and they let her know we could just walk in and get one. Which is what my bf and I ended up doing. We went in the morning when Long Phung Bakery opened just to avoid any busy lines if there were to be any. The establishment is in a small strip mall and a bit easy to miss if you're not looking for it. There's plenty of parking in the lot but it seems to get packed easy so you may need to circle around a time or two to find a spot! But everything is smooth sailing once inside the bakery. I've gone twice and both trips have been less than 5 minutes spent to purchase one of their delicious Fruit tart cakes. They usually ask if you want anything written on the cake so that's a nice convenience if it's for a specific celebration. $35 for a 1/4 cake is a great price in my eyes. But then again I'm not really sure what the typical rate is for a fruit tart cake. The 1/4 is more than enough for a party of 10 people also! Very big. My girlfriend introduced me to this amazing fruit cake bakery, and now we end up driving far just to satisfy our cake craving for special occasions. The shop seems to be constantly churning out cakes or at least preparing enough to be in stock every time I've been here. Not just for Vietnamese locals, it seems like folks of all kinds come here to get the cake! The crunchy pastry compliments the texture of the soft spongey cake. All the fruits from mangos to kiwi make for a sweetness that's fruit and not overly sweet, and the fruits cover the cake leaving enough space for a birthday message. Been coming here for over 10 years now. I rarely give 5 stars, but considering this is one of my go to places for a quick cake and I make the drive to get it, it deserves the 5 dang stars! It's a small unassuming bakery. A random bakery if you will. They sell plants, Asian snacks and flowers. Their fruit cake is simple yet delicious. It used to be a lot cheaper but hey, inflation! I buy this cake for birthdays, holidays or just because it's Tuesday (or Wednesday or Thursday, etc) Anyway, I haven't bought this cake for anyone that didn't like it. It's a fresh fruit cake on top of whipped cream, layers of crispy phyllo pastry and thin chiffon cake. It's best consumed the same day or no later than the day after you buy it because then the phyllo layers will get soggy. It's sweet but not too sweet and not very dense. I was in the area to drop my wife off for an office event, and we dropped by to pick up a cake a few shops down. I was hungry and saw this bakery with locals lined up. I decided to grab vietnamese ice coffee, egg rolls, puff pastry, and bao. Everything tasted great. They had a buy 2 get 1 free deal for most of the finger foods. Bought a baguette that everyone was getting and ended up making a sardine pate at home to pair with it. I want to come back for the bahn mi. There's no sitting room, so you just order and go. Fast forward to recently, and their Instagram marketing team deserves a raise because they absolutely got me. Every other scroll seemed to feature some gorgeous vegan pastry or savory item, and before I knew it, I was planning a visit solely based on cravings induced by social media. The pistachio croissant, pâté chaud, and sticky rice had been living rent-free in my head for weeks. Let me just say: this place exceeded the hype. The pâté chaud was the star of the show. I ordered both the regular version and the "beef" version. The vegan beef filling was tasty, but there wasn't a whole lot of it. The regular pâté chaud, on the other hand, was generously filled with vegan pork and mushrooms and was absolutely phenomenal. Flavorful, savory, and wrapped in the flakiest, butteriest pastry imaginable. One bite and I was immediately transported back to childhood. Pâté chaud was one of those treats my dad would always bring home for me growing up, so finding a vegetarian version felt like discovering buried treasure. Not to be dramatic, but I would happily eat a concerning number of these in one sitting. The xôi gà (sticky rice with seasoned vegan chicken) was another knockout. In my excitement, I started eating it immediately instead of waiting to warm it up first. Rookie mistake. By the time I realized my error, I had already inhaled most of it. After heating up the remaining portion, I finally understood what I had deprived myself of. The warm version was next-level delicious. If the room-temperature version was an A, the heated version graduated summa cum laude. Both of these items were good! They were also reasonably priced as I got both for ~$8-9. The honeycomb cake was slightly sweet and chewy. The vegan pastry was flaky despite being vegan! There was a good amount of filling, which consisted of the vegan pork and mushrooms. It was savory and had a good texture too. The only other thing I may ever come back for is their vegan fried chicken but the smallest amount you have to buy 1/2 lb which is $12

The pastry bit itself is fluffy and not too dense, unlike other puffs I've had. It's not too sweet, and if I don't watch myself, I'd easily eat a shameful amount of them in a single sitting. I usually pay in cash, but you can pay with card (except American Express) if you're okay with a small processing fee. There isn't much seating in the bakery, but there are a couple of chairs and tables to the left. From my experience, people usually just come and go. Service is standard and relatively friendly. 100/10 would recommend.

Funny thing was she didn't smile and the man who came after me she greeted him with a smile because they are of the same ethnicity. Language wasn't an issue here but to stare at customer like that I'm not coming back there ever again. Even though the cream puffs were so good very soft and not too sweet. I always go by first experience and impression. I will be looking forward other bakery's in Garden Grove.

I love that they carry bulk platters of their strawberry croissant and have them displayed right as you enter. They also have various other desserts and pastries, even some savory sandwiches and sushi, packaged goods, and coffee. I'm here pretty much just for their strawberry croissants and rusk, though their other items seem nice if you want goods for a convenient picnic.
