Paderia is dangerous....could really kill your gains if you have a sweet tooth. It's impossible to walk out of here without spending a solid chunk of change because everything looks and smells so good. Their cookies are absolutely massive and they are incredibly thick, dense, and heavy. The outside has a nice crispness, but the center is pure gooey perfection. They are so rich and packed with chocolate that you honestly need to break them into quarters to share, or just save the rest for later. We got the chocolate chip cookie and s'mores. Their best seller is definitely the chocolate chip. To wash it down, their Vietnamese Coffee is a must. It is strong, bold, and has that perfect sweet, condensed milk punch that hits just right. It pairs perfectly with how rich the cookies are. The spot is just a quick grab-and-go setup, and the line moves fast. Back in March, my family took a week long trip to Disneyland and California Adventure, to celebrate a couple of birthdays. We walked past a pop-up cart for Paderia. I purchased two incredible cookies based on the suggestion of the lady running the cart. I selected the Sea Salt Chocolate Chip cookie and the Cookies and Cream cookie (not pictured). They were a similar size of a muffin and they were so good! The cart was only there during the Food and Wine Festival so I'm glad I was able to try them out. Came back here today to order gift cookies for friends and family plus some for my own craving. Jayden was very rude, almost barking every step of the way. She only started smiling and became nicer to the customers when I asked for her name. While waiting for my order, one of the customers approached me and said she was barked at, too..and thanked me for putting this girl in her place (I didn't really do anything, I just asked for her name and sarcastically replied to her questions while she was taking my order). A third lady agreed with me that Jayden is swamped with work--there were around 8 more in line and she's alone. Stopped by for a sweet treat after a girls day out at TJ maxx. The inside is aesthetically pleasing. I love matcha and decided to try their strawberry matcha but I told the employee I didn't want double matcha and he made it work! I definitely recommend it and the banana matcha as well. The chocolate walnut cookie was soo good and was recommended my the cashier. My friend got the banana pudding and I rated it a good 10/10. It was on the thicker side which I loved. I was craving dessert after lunch and Paderia was recommended. Not impressed.. POV: craving Nutella, paid $4.00 for one Nutella malasada, bit into it and found that it's not actually Nutella inside. It was regular chocolate. Please don't advertise Nutella if you use chocolate - it's not the same thing. $4 for a single malasada is a bit overpriced considering they aren't made fresh and were sitting in the back of the bakery and served cold. The cookies were around $6 and served cold as well. I ordered the sea salt chocolate chip - it was cold and hard. Not sure what the hype is about. Paderia never disappoints. I love this location because my favorite stores are near by. So whenever I'm doing running my errands, I'm definitely going to drop by paderia for some baked goods. I'm a very picky person when it comes to a chocolate chip cookie. I have this belief that if a bakery has a perfect chocolate chip cookie, everything else is great. My definition of a chocolate chip cookie has to have a crunchy outside, a good balance and amount of dark and milk chocolate chips , perfect sweetness level with the perfect ratio of brown to white sugar for sweetness and chewiness and the obvious soft and gooey center. Paderias is a 9 out of 10 for me and it never disappoints. My 2nd fav is their triple chocolate. Those two are hands down my all time picks. Ordering is done through iPads which is simple to navigate. You have to come early to snag their items because they do sell out rather quickly esp on the weekends. I wanted to update my review since its been years. I recently dropped in after lunch for some treats for my family. I ended up getting some egg tarts, cookies and malasada. They also have break pudding, cheesecakes, and drinks. They have seasonal flavors that changes. I enjoy their cookies best. They are thick and full of flavor. My favorite is their cookies and cream. I have found that sometimes you will run into a thick cookie where the inside is slightly undercooked. But not bad just on the sweeter side. I find their egg tarts to be kinda small for the price. Especially if you compare them to Chinese egg tarts. As for their malasadas I enjoyed the cream filled one. They aren't too sweet which I like. Items usually come pretty quick once you order. This review is based solely on the non-service I received on a recent Sunday morning around 10 a.m. Their pastries are a 10/5, and I have been loving all of their items for years. But, I was really taken aback on my most recent experience, so I wanted to share in hopes that management will see this and make easy, immediate changes. I walked in, there was no line. There was only one lady sitting on a stool by the door, maybe waiting for her friend? I don't know. From the one worker in there: No hello (cue Lionel Richie). No good morning. No welcome in. No eye contact. No nothing. The worker was slowly doing stuff: holding pitchers of liquids. They were open since 9, and it was 10, so I have no idea. She could have easily said that she'll be with me in a minute. Nope. No eye contact, no acknowledgement, no I see you. Nothing. So, I stared at the pastry case and noticed it said SOLD OUT on two of the pastries I went in there for: the malasada with vanilla bean custard and the plain croissant. Thoughts going through my mind: How are they sold out already within an hour of opening? Plus, it's empty in here. What should I get instead? I stared at the menu on the wall, thinking, wow, prices went up again. That's crazy. I waited an uncomfortable amount of time. This whole time, she looks like she doesn't want to be there. She has a dreary look on her face. Honestly, life, especially now is definitely dreary, but we have to put our best foot forward especially on the job. The staff is always friendly and willing to help you make a selection. The store is small, with minimal bar stool seating. This location is more of a grab & go. I love the ease of ordering ahead online, a self-help kiosk or have one of their friendly staff take your order. Today's visit I order the Strawberry Horchata with house-made strawberry puree and the Citrus Refresher. After ordering I overheard the cashier describe the seasonal cookie (Mexican Hot Chocolate) to a customer after me and I knew I had to get one. So glad I did because the cookie was perfectly baked, crunchy edges and moist center with a light shell of cinnamon sugar. Every time I crave a cookie, Paderia is where I run to. Their dome-shaped cookies are thick, bold, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, just the way I like my cookies. I was disappointed with the customer service. I asked a question, the employee seemed irritated and acted as if I was bothering her. It made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Customers should be able to ask questions without feeling like they're an inconvenience. I really wanted to love this place because their ensaymada is what they're known for, but it's become so frustrating. Every time we make the drive here during the last hour they're open, the ensaymada is either completely sold out or they don't have the cheese version anymore. I even ended up with my strawberry matcha but no ensaymada, which was the whole reason for the trip. Since they bake in-house, I wish they would plan production so there are at least some ensaymadas available during the last hour of business. It feels disappointing to make the drive only to leave empty-handed over and over again. If something is your signature item, it should be available more consistently, or at least customers should be informed when it's likely to sell out. I really hope they improve this because the quality is great when they actually have it in stock. I like how they show you all the desserts after they box them up for you. I love the cookies here but the other desserts are delicious too! My all time favorite cookie is the peanut butter chocolate cookie. When you warm it up for a few seconds, the peanut butter chips get melty and the cookie is warm and soft but slightly crispy on the outside. I tried the pretzel toffee cookie, the cookies and cream cookie, and the s'mores cookies this time. The pretzel toffee cookie had a nice balance of sweet and salty and the cookies and cream cookie had soft chunks of Oreo in it. The s'mores was my least favorite out of the 4 but I still really enjoyed it. I love how the cookies are huge and so rich. Flaky crust. Custard that's rich without being too sweet. We gobbled those up quickly. We also tried the banana pudding. Simple, clean, and creamy. The kids loved it. The ensaymada was sold out when we visited. We should've expected that for the popular items. It probably makes sense to go earlier in the morning next time. The matcha coconut drink surprised me in a good way. The matcha leans bitter and the coconut water is sweet. A thorough mixing is in order. Once it's fully combined, the balance is perfect. This makes a solid alternative to coffee for me. Parking was straightforward, and the vibe inside was relaxed. We saw people working and others just hanging out. Came here at 7:00 pm because I needed a little pick me up to drive back to LA. There is plenty of parking as Paderia shares a huge lot with multiple stores and restaurants. I got an Ube Coconut Latte and I loved it! It was smooth, with just the perfect balance of coffee and ube. Visited this location for the Malasadas (since it seems they're the only branch which carried them). They were OK. Got all but the Nutella filled and we were not impressed. They were fresh and appropriately sweetened but it seemed the texture was not as good as the ones we had in Hawaii. The Portuguese egg tart is a poor attempt to mimic the classic Pastel de Nata. It is closer to the Chinese egg tart you could get at Chinese bakeries and is pretty expensive at $4 a pop. For a more authentic version drive a couple of miles down the road and get some from Portuguese imports. read more

These are the fattest, most delicious cookies ever. A nice crisp on the exterior and gooey and doughy on the inside. The chocolate walnut is my absolute favorite but the double chocolate one is also delicious. I heard these are comparable to Levain Bakery, which I can totally see, given how fat and gooey they are. The egg tarts are also delicious. I recommend eating them warm so the custard is silky and the puff pastry is crisp. Just pop them in the air fryer.
