I was looking for a florist who would do same day delivery and didn't cost an arm and a leg. I found Leary's through a Google search. They will provide same day delivery if you order before 11 eastern. Their website is great and includes many options. You can shop by occasion which was great since I was looking for something for a birthday. There were lots of bouquets from which to choose. They also provide three different sizes depending on your price range. I placed my order at 1045 am. I was able to provide instructions online that the business they were going to was closed at lunch time. The flowers arrived around 230 p.m. My daughter was thrilled and the flowers were beautiful. 5 stars from me. Ordering online was easy, selection was great, pricing was reasonable, and delivery time was short. read more

Unfortunately I found out at the last minute my grandson needed a corsage and wristband for his date. I arrived at Leary's in Broomall around 9am and was immediately met with an attitude that it could be done but they only make bouquets and had to pick up at 2:30. She complained they had so many orders that also had to be done. I left because I was annoyed but came right back and said "cool" since my options were limited. The woman with the attitude pulls out the form abruptly, throws on the counter and says what color dress. I said I think blue, she sighs and says I need to know exactly. I said forget it, you obviously don't want this order and I walked out. I know it was last minute but if you are going to work in Retail, you should learn how to treat people. The woman who is the owner is absolutely the most rude and mean tempered person ever. Being the owner too! About a year ago I went there and as I was waiting for my arrangement, she was on the computer complaining about the website having arrangements on there but she didn't have them in the store to make. Continued to complain about customers not understanding what their doing online. She rang me out like I was bothering her and she didn't even say thank you. Figured maybe a bad day, but even so, an owner should be grateful for their customers and certainly not complain about them in front of a customer. My daughter went there a couple of weeks ago to order my sons prom dates flowers. She called me when she left saying how nasty the woman was to her. She described her and it was the same woman. I would think because I'm spending $300 on a funeral arrangement that the women helping me would be kind and happy to serve. Instead it was the exact opposite. This vile creature was rude and inconsiderate and just a horrible human being all around. I've never had to buy a funeral arrangement before so forgive me if I'm not sure what all is entailed with the process, show a little compassion for crying out loud. I really wish I had walked out and went somewhere else. I could have just as easily use an online florist, but I like to try and shop local when I can. THE MOST RUDE STAFF I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED. Woman behind counter reading her phone looks up after I walked in and asked can I help you? I said yes, she stood up and said well do you see anything you like in there? pointing to the cooler with the flowers. I was looking ignoring her rudeness when she started to yell about each set in the cooler. I asked her some questions because I know nothing about flowers, she looked incredulous and was not helpful at all. She was huffing puffing and seem to be upset that I was about to spend $55. After that another rude woman came out of the back and was equally abrupt, against my better judgment I chose A bouquet, took it to the counter and decided to just keep my mouth shut and wait for her to ring it up so I can get the heck out of there. She asked me if I wanted a receipt? I said yes, and she did not print a receipt, now she's huffing and puffing because she pushed no on receipt button by accident (she claims) and had to call three other staff members over to try and figure it out. This woman has no business serving the public, the woman from the back has no business serving the public. I hope they go out of business soon. read more

I have been very happy with all my orders over the last 5 years ! I have used their services for weddings, showers , baptisms and just recently 3 separate funerals.... Each and every order were AMAZING!! I made the mistake of calling a florist in Michigan last year to order a 50th birthday bouquet.. WHAT A MISTAKE that was... it was just awful. Leary's did my wedding flowers, as nervous as I was I just told them what I think I wanted. I was AMAZED when I walked into the room and saw the centerpieces. I was shocked at the lack of professionalism at this store. I called to order flowers for a dance my son was going to locally. I called for an hour and a half straight and kept getting a busy signal. When I finally got someone in the afternoon, I asked about this, and was told, "we take the phones off the hook when we're busy." Must be nice to be able to turn cuswtomers away like that. IF YOU'RE A CUSTOMER AND NEED THEM WHEN THEY "TAKE THE PHONES OFF THE HOOK YOU'RE OUT OF LUCK". MOVE ON TO A MORE RELIABLE AND AFFORDABLE FLORIST!! The manager was UNBELIEVABLE UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE!! I called to order flowers for delivery this morning and couldn't possibly have had a more miserable experience placing an order. If it weren't for the fact that I didn't have time to call around to find another florist who would deliver the same day, I would not have placed an order. From start to finish during the call, Danielle, was rude and acted as if it was a total bother that I was trying to place an order. Getting information out of her about what types of flowers they had available and whether any of them were a particularly fragrant variety was like pulling teeth. She was completely vague about what they had available and said the bouquet I wanted would be a "Spring mix". I'm not a florist and don't speak florist lingo so I asked what that meant, and all I got was her repeating "Spring mix". I had to ask about three specific follow up questions to find out what Spring mix meant in terms the type of flowers and colors and getting an answer to each question was painful. Again, it was like it was a bother to this woman that I was trying to place an order. And then she gave me trouble about the delivery. The delivery location was literally 1.5 miles away but because the mailing address is Newtown Square instead of Broomall, she kept insisting that the delivery location was outside their zone. She then said she would have to ask for a special exception to be made to make the delivery. I kept telling her the delivery location was just a few minutes away from the shop and she wouldn't listen. She finally looked it up on the map and then said it wouldn't be a problem. I really should have just cancelled the order. After the horrible experience I had on the phone with that nasty person, I can't imagine that the product will be particularly good. If I could leave zero stars I would. There was an issue with a centerpiece I sent to my son's in-laws, the recipient had never received a centerpiece from a florist before and didn't realize that she had to remove the oasis from the cardboard box it was transported in. The box was packed with red tissue paper, the oasis leaked through the tissue paper and stained the antique tablecloth it was placed on. I called Leary's to speak with someone about this issue and the woman that answered the phone was so unbelievably rude. She screamed at me that it wasn't their fault that the recipient was "too dumb" to not realize she had to remove the centerpiece from the cardboard box. She also admitted to me that they had a customer who had the same issue before, but she was "like 90 years old" so I guess it was considered acceptable for her to make that mistake. I should have realized I would have issues with this florist when I originally called to place the order and the woman handling my order was extremely rude. She told me that I couldn't order an arrangement from a picture on their website, they would just "make it look nice." Their were no flowers in the arrangement at all, just greens. It was a mistake on the recipients part for not knowing to remove the flowers from the box, but the disgusting way which I was treated for calling this florist to inquire about this issue was completely unacceptable. I feel bad for the 90 year old woman who must've called to complain and I'm sure got screamed at also. When I informed this woman that I would be leaving a bad review on yelp she told me to do what I had to do and hung up on me. I wished I had read the reviews on yelp before I ordered from here, it seems this is the way they treat their customers. So disappointed. read more
