Ordered 2 sets of flowers for senior prom. 1 boutonnière/ corsage in red and 1 boutonnière/ bouquet in white. When I arrived, the bouquet was red. I went back into the store with my original receipt to explain, and was told I could purchase another bouquet if I would like. No thank you for $75 the day of the prom! Why wouldn't the white boutonnière match with a white bouquet? It was noted on the order black dress, and I was told they just made the decision. Why ask for my name and phone number if you aren't going to call with any questions? I quickly made my way to Produce Junction to purchase white roses which I added to the bouquet myself to match the boutonnière as much as I could. What if they were wearing a purple, yellow, pink, or any other color tie and accessories to play off of the black dress? I will not be back- I miss Farrells! read more

I was sorely disappointed in the bouquet Farrell's sent for my daughter's memorial service on October 26, 2019. I told the salesperson at the shop that I wanted mostly white flowers with a few touches of red (her favorite color) and dark gold flowers. I was told that at the time the only red flowers I could get were roses and I clearly said that was fine. When we arrived at the service we saw that there was not a single red flower in the bouquet. It was the only detail of her service that did not go perfectly. I have pictures available if Farrell's cares to see them. read more

Picking a florist is always a bit of a hassle, especially when you're new to the area. I decided to give Farrell's a try based on their recent track record on yelp and the proximity to my job. I am far from an expert on bouquet arrangements but the flowers I received were a little on the anticlimactic side of things. I told the gentleman, who happens to very polite and accommodating, that I was looking to purchase Birthday flowers to be picked up the following day and that my girlfriend preferred big colorful arrangements. We agreed on a $40 price point and the rest is history. .Maybe my expectations were too high but when I pay a premium price at a florist, I expect more than what I could have purchased at acme for half the price. Most of the flowers are beautiful but the bouquet is fairly small, the wrapping is generic and the leafs of the greenery appear to have been eaten by a bug. I'm a firm believer in that you get what you pay for and this was not a strong representation of that. read more

I've been meeting with different florist and decided to give yelp a try. I came across Tim's shop and message him for an estimate. He responded promptly and was extremely nice and helpful. His prices were very competitive and the customer services he provided was amazing! I was surprised by the estimate he drew up for me and decided he was the guy! We did everything via email and payment over the phone, I didn't even have to leave my home. I ordered flowers for my sisters birthday last week. I was able to place my order the day before and have them delivered that next day on her birthday! (She lives local to Farrell's) which I was really happy with. I thought it would be too last minute to have them delivered the next day. The flowers were so beautiful! Great experience with this florist. I called to order birthday flowers and chocolates for a relative. I was hoping for same day delivery but, since it was after noon when I called, I made clear that I would understand if delivery could not be made until the next day. The very polite, professional man who assisted me said that he would try to have the delivery person pick up for same day delivery but could not guarantee it. A couple of hours later, I received email confirmation from Farrell's that the delivery was made. Minutes later, I received a thank you text with photos from the relative, who loved the flowers and the chocolates. I can report that the flowers as delivered were just as lovely as pictured on the website. The price was very good compared to other nearby florists as well. First time using Farrell's but we will definitely use them again. read more

Update: Five years after this original review appeared the owner reached out to me to make amends. Yes, that's *five years.* Not noted in my original review was the fact that the manager laughed at me when I called to complain about the quality of the flowers, or evident lack thereof. I asked the owner to reach out to me back in 2012. It's been a very long wait. The rating now drops to one star... Called in my order at 10:00 AM, hoping that the floral arrangement would arrive for my wife by early afternoon. When I telephoned at 4:50 PM I was told that the driver was "just loading the arrangement into the truck." What the florist didn't realize was that I could hear a very discernible "uh oh" from someone in the background, which means that my order might have been forgotten entirely. So the arrangement arrives at my home about ten minutes before I do, and it's nothing to brag over -- hardly worth the $58.00 I spent. There's just a handful of flowers in a rather plain, lackluster vase. My career as a regular customer has just come to an end... read more

This place was an immediate pass after a 2 minute call. Website shows door wreaths less than $100. My request was met with the question, "What's it for?" A condolence wreath for a front door. I was told that would cost over $200 in a way that felt like it was too much trouble. Must be nice to turn away local business. We wanted your $80 wreath with a few personal touches. Run, don't walk, to this florist! They just did the flowers for my son's wedding and they were fabulous. I am very picky so I expected much less than what I got. The bouquets and arrangements were very full and even larger than I expected. The colors that he put together were just amazing, even the whites were rich and beautiful. I asked for drama for the centerpiece in the main hall and that is exactly what was delivered. The entire process from the first phone call was seamless. Stopped in on V-day to pick up some flowers and the woman behind the counter was very nice and asked what my budget was and what I was looking for. I appreciate that she was willing to cater to my individual needs especially since it was their busiest day of the year. In the end I picked a single rose since I already had an expensive dinner planned. Long story short it is exactly 14 days after I bought that rose and it still looks perfect! I had my wedding yesterday and Farrell's did all my flowers and it was awesome!!!! They were absolutely gorgeous! The experience was wonderful from the start. I didn't know what to ask for and Tim Farrell guided me through the whole process, took his time and provided excellent suggestions. It was beyond anything I could have imagined. His attention to detail was incredible. He asked for pictures of the dresses so he could match the ribbons on the bouquets to the dresses. I gave him a picture of the church alter and he knew exactly what he was going to do. And the centerpieces for the tables at the reception had ladies fighting over them to take them home. Everybody wanted one:) I had cupcake towers instead of a single wedding cake and he sprinkled rose petals on the table around the towers. And he suggested peach napkins with silver napkin rings (provided by him and set up by his staff) for the plates on the table at the reception. The room just looked so beautiful! And the church flowers were so beautiful! And our bouquets were fabulous. I told him what my Mom's favorite flowers were and he included them in my bouquets. It was all so stunning! Farrell's Florist created the most spectacular floral displays for my husband's retirement party; in fact, they blew it out of the ballpark! The blue delphinium (for sky), yellow roses (for the sun), and white stargazer lilies (for the stars) combination were the perfect theme for a retiring attorney and current amateur astronomer. Everyone said the flowers absolutely lit up the room and made our event really special. Tim Farrell's idea to add silver star decals to the cobalt blue vases really brought out the theme and gave the event such a festive mood. Many thanks for a wonderful job! read more

My fiance ordered her bouquet from here and it was delivered the day before our wedding. Unfortunately, it wasn't what she was expecting, so we took a drive over (we thought they closed at 3pm on Saturdays). We arrived around noon and found the door locked (turns out they close at noon during the summer on Saturdays). We began to walk away dejected when a man (Tim) answered the door. He asked if he could help us. I explained the situation and he invited us in. A woman named Tina came out from the back and my fiance described the issue. She immediately got to work creating what was essentially a new bouquet that more accurately reflected my fiance's wishes. After a few minutes, she came out to show us her work. My fiance loved it! Tina then went back to finish up the bouquet and my fiance couldn't have been happier. Tina and Tim were very apologetic that they didn't get it quite right the first time. They were willing to stay 30 minutes after closing to make it right, which impressed the heck out of me. My fiance walked in sad and left overjoyed. Now THAT is customer service! I judge a business not only on the quality of their product/service, but how well they fix a problem when one arises. My mother-in-law used to send us flowers from Robertson's, an expensive Main Line florist. They were always small and ordinary arrangements. Same for the 1-800 holiday centerpieces from my sister. When she saw what we actually got, she asked me to recommend a local florist. Farrell's has been delivering flowers and centerpieces to us for several years now, and they are always very attractive and exactly as the sender pictured them. As an office we placed an $80.00 order for our co-worker who just lost her mother. Luckily I asked her to send me a picture of what she received. It was an extremely small arrangement (the size of her hand at best) with a tarnished vase. The recipient estimated its worth at $25.00. When I contacted the owner and asked for our money back...he suggested bringing new flowers and taking back the first arrangement. I can't imagine anyone taking flowers back from someone who was grieving. He did agree to reimburse my card after informing him that I was sure my credit card company would see it my way as the picture of what I ordered online in no way correlated with the arrangement she received. I am sickened to think how many other people have fallen victim. Buyer Beware! read more
