I had the caprese pizza. The crust was my favorite part. It had a cornmeal texture with a nice crunch. They do have a happy hour at 3pm but it's only $2 off specific drinks and a limited full price menu. Not the reason we came but just keep that in mind if it's why you are. Food was decent at best. Servers and bartenders were so sour and it felt like we were an inconvenience that we were there. There were 6 of us and we had a reservation but they told us if we made it online they can't honor it. After being sat 30 minutes past our reservation it took another 30 minutes for drinks and 45 for food. Half of us our industry and we are so understanding but this was the weirdest dining experience we have ever had. We still tipped 20% but they didn't deserve it. The four of us went for dinner last night for the first time. We reserved an outside table a week in advance. We were informed that all of the tables were already taken ( but they were empty) and there was only one left in the Sun. So we requested an inside table. There were numerous empty tables. After being there for a while it appears that they really were understaffed as the waitresses were struggling to cover the area.. The food was marginal at best.. we had the wedge salads and fish and chips... Won't go back..serving meals is a tough job.. the servers were stressed. Didn't make for a good meal.. The views are amazing and the service was pretty good. I was told the wings are very good so that is the dish I ordered. I'll have to say the way they're cooked is very good and they are crispy however, there isn't much flavor to them. They do have a happy hour from 3 to 4 that offers a happy hour food menu along with two dollars off beers and House wine. We visited Graeagle in the middle of September and we really enjoyed our stay. The friends that we were visiting recommended Longboards and so we all went together for a Sunday afternoon lunch and happy hour on the deck. I'll be honest in saying that the service was so so and the food was just so so as well, but what we really truly loved about our experience was the view and the open seating on the beautiful wraparound deck. It's a neat place to grab a few drinks and maybe have an appetizer but other than that I'd recommend just going and chilling and relaxing. read more

Ambiance is a a 5 Star. We ate on the deck and it was gorgeous. I had a Mai Tai and it was as good as Merriman's on Maui. I'd come back for drinks and the view. I had the Wedge Salad. I ordered a full and was brought a half portion. The salad was good but there was too much dressing. More bacon and tomatoes would make it better. We also ordered the Fish and Chips. Mixed experience with both highlights and head-scratchers. We tried to call ahead to make a reservation but no one answered the phone, so we walked over--it's a short stroll across the golf course from our vacation rental. When we arrived, four parties were already waiting (about 10 people total), and there was no host or hostess in sight. It was a bit of a free-for-all. Eventually, someone emerged and began seating the reservation-holders, while the rest of us were told to wait so the kitchen could "catch up." This was at 5:45pm on a Monday. Apparently Mondays are like their Fridays--understandable, but still: if you know it's your busiest day, maybe staff accordingly? We waited at the bar, where the bartender was kind and attentive. Kids had Shirley Temples, and my husband had a margarita that he described as one of the best he's had. We also ordered the bread and butter ($8): whole-wheat sourdough with garlic butter--very tasty and helped bridge the gap while we waited to be seated. After an hour, we were finally seated on the patio. It was a warm day, and the indoor area didn't seem to be air conditioned, so the fresh air was welcome--and the view was fantastic. Once seated, service picked up. Water and menus arrived after about 10 minutes. Here's how dinner shook out: * Fish & Chips (husband): Very good. * Kids' Mac & Cheese (8yo): Surprisingly excellent--tasted homemade. * Kids' Cheese Pizza + Caprese (12yo): Pizza was overly crusty, but the caprese was a hit. * Blue Cheese Wedge w/ Chicken (me): Unfortunately drowned in dressing. The chicken was dry, and the salad was so soaked I couldn't eat most of it. Dressing on the side would've made a big difference. * Food Timing: Everyone's food came out together--except mine (the salad), which arrived 5-10 minutes later. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, and the setting is great. But the overall experience felt disorganized and slow, and the prices are on the high side for what you get. That said, with better staffing and a few tweaks (like dressing on the side), this could have been a much better night out. TL;DR: Great view, good drinks, and some solid dishes--offset by long wait times, understaffing, and one poorly executed salad. Worth a visit if you're nearby and not in a rush, but come with patience (and maybe a reservation... if someone picks up). read more

Went for lunch with no reservation. Asked about a table for two outside in the shade. None were available, but the host gave us a table by the window which was fine. We each ordered a half wedge salad which was great, plus we shared an order of sourdough bread and garlic butter. Followed up with a small dish of ice cream each. A perfect lunch. Service was somewhat slow, but it seemed like they needed more staff. Our server was friendly and answered all our questions. They were clearly busy - turned away others without reservations, we were seated without any menus, our server was profusely apologetic about her service, the manager stepped in to take our order, etc. #2 the view on the patio is beautiful! Our reservation was 6pm and all the fully shaded tables were taken, so we took the liberty to move our table around to provide more shade. #3 the staff was very friendly! We were in town for a busy weekend (July craft fair) and it's a small town so likely "staffing up" isn't even possible. The brisket chilly was way too salty and my chicken in my Cesar salad was dry. I'm going to keep trying to like this place as we have a vacation home nearby and would like to have a place where we feel welcome and to relax, eat and drink. We have been there several times and have left disappointed each time. A notable occasion was when the manger was very RUDE and proceeded to tell us there was no patio seating available and clearly there was. I would not recommend this place. We have had bad experiences on a couple of occasions with the manager. The first time, I called up to the restaurant for a to go order at 5:30p. She answered the phone and said they were "way too busy to take takeout orders" so I should call back at 7p. I did call back because my elderly mother was really wanting fish and chips. We ordered 2 Caesar salads and fish and chips. The salads were terrible. Another time, I had called the restaurant to make a reservation for our group of 8. I was told by the manager that I didn't not need a reservation so we arrived and were told that our group could not be accommodated and that we should try the Road House.. The chicken wing appetizer was horrible-dried out and barely edible. Beer was freaking flat and warm. Server acknowledged that she served him a flat and warm beer. The smash burgers were gross-gross and the buns were burnt. Macaroni and cheese was bland and gross again. I had cod panszanella-would have been nice if it had more than 2 oz of cod for $30. The creamy spirts of whatever it was- disgusting and flavorless. Sister-in-law ordered the chicken schnitzel and it was over cooked. View was great-never would we ever eat here again. After or golf tournament we had a dinner party of 20 sit down for dinner. the place was busy and the atmosphere was fun. Rayne and Aleena were our servers and did very well. This was our first visit since some years ago, during which it had been closed for quite a while. The restaurant is back as good, very possibly better, than ever. The team was great about locating us indoors for dinner given the unusual heat wave occurring. Our dinners ranged from pistachio coated halibut to Caesar salad and the house cheeseburger. We were greeted immediately when we stepped into the bar by Chloe, our server/bartender, and Juliet. Love the staff! So friendly and personable. Clint was also tending bar, and he is always so nice. My hubby started with a Happy Hour drink, and we ordered an appetizer from a special Happy Hour menu, which was the Korean Beef eggrolls, delicious! Dinner: Pistachio Chicken with lemon ricotta ravioli, which was recommended by Juliet, EXCELLENT. Also ordered the Prime Rib dinner which was so juicy, tender, and cooked to perfection. Dessert: lemon Tart cake and Pistachio Cheesecake. Both were really yummy and not too sweet. GREAT EXPERIENCE. Everyone we had contact with was so friendly. Chef Chris even came out to let us know a certain appetizer was not ready at that time. He then returned after dinner to see how we liked it.
