two years ago, and I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had two lumpectomy, leaving my left breast somewhat smaller than the right one! When I went to my breast surgeon a couple of months ago, she handed me a placard for Longivity and suggested that I go there to get fitted for bras! My cousin and I went down today and we met Arline! We had such a pleasant experience, and I was so satisfied with the fitting that Arline provided! The bras are exceptional quality and she knew just exactly what I needed! I am so happy with my new bras and silicone form suggested by Arline! She is so pleasant, kind and understood my needs completely! I would recommend her to anybody and I am so happy that my breast surgeon suggested going to see her and giving me a script to get these bras and form!My cousin and I will certainly be spreading the word about Longivity n Arline!! My experience at longevity boutique was incredible. My father had been recently diagnosed with a brain tumor. He wanted very much to stay at home and be surrounded by family. Mrs Schwecter, owner of longevity was so warm and compassionate and incredibly helpful in setting up our home to make life as comfortable as possible for my dad and family. From a hospital bed, to bathroom aids to personal needs, as well as the most comfortable as well as good looking lift chairs, it truly became a one stop shop. I could go on and on. The woman I spoke to on the phone was super nice and welcoming. The women I dealt with in the store was also very nice. The only thing that did not appeal to me was the fact that the stockings I was sold were way overpriced and turned out to be not the kind I needed. My doctor advised me to get 30-40 compression. They did not have my size and was told the 20-30 would be fine. The sales lady came up with 2 pairs and of course she sold me the more expensive pair (over $100). Yes I guess I should have questioned the price as now I have seen comparable stockings in other stores and online for a fraction of the price. The stockings are not tight enough!!! So now I have to go spend more money on more stockings, I am not happy!!!The store itself is lovely with beautiful hand painted murals on the walls and it looked like they had a great selection of other healthcare items. I previously went to the mall and purchased a mastectomy bra but I never felt comfortable in it. I always felt like people knew I was wearing one and it was really becoming hard on me. A girlfriend of mine told me about Longevity and how they do fittings so I decided to give it a go. The owner Arline, couldn't be more kind a respectful. Cancer is hard enough without people treating you like you are just another number or case- so having the experience I did with Arline meant more to me then I could possibly explain. When she was fitting me I didn't feel uncomfortable or embarrassed, she made me feel like we have been friends for a long time. After trying on a lot of options after the fitting, there was one that we both felt was the best and looked the best. I decided I wanted the same bra in two colors. When she told me that the black had just ran out in the exact size and style that fit me I told her that she didn't have to go through any trouble and I would just take another color but Arline kindly refused. She then ordered the black right on the spot and shipped it directly to my house. Arline told me that if I feel any sort of discomfort that I should come right back to find something more suited and she would just exchange them for new ones. But luckily I definitely don't need to! I walk around like a DIVA in these new bras and think I am just going to go back to visit Arline because she is so wonderful! read more
