First review after multiple visits -- extremely disappointing. I've given this place more than enough chances, but every experience has been a letdown. I've attempted to purchase bikes here twice, but walked away both times because their prices were significantly higher than Texas Harley and Fort Worth Harley. Most recently, on 6/26/25, I called looking for service specials. I was told about a 3-hole oil change with synthetic for $180 -- a deal that sounded too good to be true. I confirmed the details twice before booking a 5 PM appointment for 6/30/25. After fighting through an hour of traffic to get there, the first thing I was told was, "Whew, that's going to be pushing it." You're the one who scheduled the appointment. Then, I was informed there must have been a "miscommunication" and the quote was for a basic oil change only. For comparison, I called Texas Harley today -- they clearly quoted $199 for a 3-hole oil change and $295 with synthetic. Confirmed it with them four times. Longhorn, on the other hand, continues to waste my time and play games. This is the first review I've ever written, as I typically let things slide. But enough is enough. Every experience here has been a joke. I won't be coming back. Get your act together. read more

Rico, Alex, Hunter, Lucas, Peggy and my main man (Coach) Antonio from the Riding Academy all left an impression on me. The way they treat everyone coming in the door shows that they all love their jobs and are very knowledgeable in their respected departments. Yea I'm that dude that bought a bike without knowing how to ride. After taking the Riding Academy course, I was able to finally take out my bike and ride it confidently. My friends that ride told me they have ridden for years and when they took this Safety course they learned something new. Buying a Harley at Longhorn was a great experience. Rico was my salesman and he was fantastic. I got to meet all of the managers and everyone treated my like a king. They took the time to make sure that the bike I saw on their website actually fit me and I could reach the ground and all of the controls. they were friendly and made my wife feel at home even though she hates motorcycles. They built repour with her and before you knew it she was glad I was finally getting my dream to own my first Harley. Rico has stayed in touch with me since my purchase that that is above and beyond anyone's expectations. I highly recommend that if you are new to Harleys, buy at Longhorn Harley. They are very realistic and rather make sure you are going in with your eyes open than just a dealer trying to make a sale. While I could never think about selling my Dyna, I am planning to buy another bike from them in the next 3 years or so. I will likely get a trike. It will be a Harley and it will come from Longhorn Oh yeah. They have training. I plan to take it next month. And they have events. Buying from them feel like going to your home town, meeting a friend and talking about Harleys, then deciding to buy one from that friend. It is casual, friendly and relaxed. Astonishingly poor attitude in the merchandise area. When at the register paying for 2 shirts, the clerk wanted all of my personal information in order to put me into their system. Since I do not live in the area, I asked what if I don't want to be in your database? With a very poor attitude, I was informed that I would be required to pay cash. I paid cash for two t-shirts, but that is the last time I will ever enter this place of business. There are many other dealerships that are very friendly and don't require my life story for a minor purchase, in fact, I have never been asked for this before. Buyer beware! If you are purchasing a new bike or trading for a new one at this dealership, be sure to check your paperwork carefully before agreeing to anything. I did not! I got home and reviewed my bill of sale to learn that Longhorn doubled the freight charge. Freight charge for a new Harley is $395.00. Longhorn charged me $795.00. Also charged me $795.00 for prep. That is $1600.00 for freight and prep. To add insult to injury, the new 2018 Heritage I purchased has a grinding noise in the rear wheel hub ever since the day I bought the bike. Longhorn advised me to bring it back so they can look at it but I will just eat the cost and let my personal mechanic diagnose the problem and fix it. Shame on me for not looking closer. It will not happen again. They lost my business. read more

My husband and I purchased a new Buell at this dealership. Items that the salesman offered were not delivered such as mirrors, a new rider class, and an owner's manual. The rear-view mirrors were not on the bike when it was delivered to my house, yet they signed off on the inspection. How does that happen? It makes me wonder what else they didn't check during the inspection! The bike was also NOT in the new condition that he told us it was in. How does a brand new bike with "NO PROBLEMS" suddenly develop an oil leak upon delivery? I was promised the new rider class, yet after the paperwork was signed and the check was cut, the salesman came back and said that I wasn't eligible for the class because the bike was not a "Harley". I was never given the 2 free t-shirts that are offered with the purchase of a new bike. I wasn't even told by the salesman that I could get them. We purchased some t-shirts and then the cashier told me that 2 of them could have been free with the purchase of the bike. I said I would just get 2 shirts next time since they were closing. I was told they would make sure I got them next time and would note my loyalty card account. She even offered to give my daughter a shirt to apologize for all the trouble. I've been back three or four times to get those free shirts and there is always a problem. The lady that told me I was entitled to them is never there when we come by and no one ever believes my story. Today I was interrogated like a thief because they didn't believe me once again! We spent a few hundred dollars on a jacket, boots, and parts, but they won't give me 3 stupid shirts that I'm supposed to be entitled to! The next problem occurred with parts my husband ordered. I got a call that all the parts were in. This was a few weeks ago and today we had the chance to drive over to that dealership. One of the most important parts is missing from the order even though I was told everything was waiting for us. At least the parts guy offered to mail it, but now we have to wait even longer for something that was supposed to be available! I am a new rider and was looking forward to getting some experience on this new bike, but since it's brand new and has a terrible oil leak, I can't and they can't even get me the parts to fix it myself. I told the salesman that I wanted to get some experience before stepping up to a Harley which would be my next purchase in a year or so. I can't say anything about buying a bike here, but I've been here several times to get parts for an older bike, and they actually had every part in stock, which I wasn't able to find elsewhere. Parts guys are also pretty smart, they can answer a lot of parts questions without having to look at a computer screen or parts book. That's nice, especially when you're standing there giving a vague, "I think it's a bolt or something" description. Place has a lot of accessories and seemed to be a good selection of bikes. Maybe not the biggest selection in DFW, but more than most. read more

I have bought a bike from them for my wife. I have had work done there. I have bought parts from them. The good part is the parts. I would rate them 5 stars. Helpful and never an issue. I have tried to buy 4 bikes from them to get the attitude. Then high prices. On the one bike I bought from them I only got an ok deal. The reason I bough from them is my wife wanted a certain color. I was stuck. History: I went in too buy a Road King. Black. I had my mind made up. I got a young sales guy that was disrespectful and kept walking off. I left and bought one the following day at another dealer. Then months later I wanted a Sporty to teach my wife. I asked for their rates. The sales guy took my info and told me that he would call by 9:30 the next day. No call. My wife was ready so I called him at 10. He was too "busy" I called at 11. Same. I called at 1. No answer. Mind you I have perfect credit. I called the other dealer. The same sales guy I used before. Told him what I wanted. He had the bike ready for me after work. Signed papers and rode home. Then a few years later my wife out grew her Sporty and I bought from them. Not a pleasant time. Then I tried to buy a Roadglide from them. Disrespect again. Bought it from another dealer. Then I tried to buy a softtail deluxe they had on their lot for years. I was within $50 of a deal. My thIng was I couldn't buy it until sat. I told them upfront. My sales guy decided to have attitude with me to try to force me that day. Deal was off. Enough on sales.. Service is bad. Took my glide in for warrantee work. A engine that run bad only for a little in the middle of warming up. Wasn't normal. A recall on the clutch. After a week they didn't do the recall and said nothing was wrong with my bike. I read the Harley forums and chAnged the bad sensor to fIx it. Then took my wife's bike for a leaking valve stem. It was very slow like over a month leak.. I used soap and water several times to even find it. I searched the whole tire. They called and said the rim was bad. We argued. They said they cleaned the rim and changed the stem. $135. They got me. I buy parts from them. They are great. Nothing else. Never again. read more

This company does not honor their obligations!! Recently I purchased a maintnance warranty with Harley Davidson of North Dallas, which was the dealership name about a month ago. Recently I sold my bike. So I called Maverick Harley the company that has recently purchased North Dallas Harley, and the sales manager Steve told me that he would not honor my warranty because they were no longer Harley of North Dallas. I also called Harley Davidson to file a complaint on Maverick Harley and they would not help me either. This seems criminal that you pay $1300 dollars for a warranty and now they wont honor it. I am very dissapointed with Harley both corporate and especially this deapership for not honoring my warranty a debt they purchased when they bought the dealership. Please take this warning and dont purchase from these scammers, especially dont get a warranty from them. read more

A few of weeks back I went to Longhorn to look for a used bike. After several attempts, the sales staff found a great bike for just the price I wanted to pay. The only drawback I was made aware of on the FLHTP was that it needed a radio installed. The dealership assured me that this was an easy process and they actually sent the bike out to have this done. They also said it was typically a one-day turnaround for this work to be completed. On a Wednesday I brought in my down payment, signed the title and was to pick the bike up that Saturday. I received a call that Saturday morning stating that the bike had just been sitting there and had no work done to it, just as I was about to head to the shop to pick up the bike. I came in to the shop to see that indeed it had not been sent off to have the radio installed like I was told it would. What happened was the finance manager neglected to put in the order to the service department so the bike sat there. Once I signed the order, the service department again assured me that I could come get the bike Monday afternoon. Knowing their previous neglectfulness, I told the sales staff I would be in Tuesday morning to pick up the bike to ensure that it was completed and ready to go. Tuesday morning came and I received a call saying that the bike wasn't ready because the install people were having difficulty with fitting the radio. So again the service department said that the bike would be ready that evening. Closing time came and I didn't hear a word from the shop. On Wednesday Longhorn called again saying that the radio they were attempting to install was broken and that the process had to be started over. Again, they said it would be ready that evening. Closing time came again and no call. Another issue that I found out when having someone look over my paperwork was that the price I paid for the bike was actually $495 higher than its listed price. Now this is on me for not realizing and I should have actively slowed down the purchasing and finance process to notice this. When I learned I over paid I was actually okay with it until further issues developed. Finally, after several more days I got the call that everything was ready. I picked up the bike with no issues and rode it home, about 10 miles. When I got home I noticed that there was a nail in the rear tire. I decided to take the bike to a different Harley shop to get the tire repaired. When I got there I learned that the nail in the tire had been there for some time based on the rust and cracking in the rubber. Further, the service person called me after only having the bike about an hour to tell me how bad a shape it was in. The transmission was bone dry, brakes had been bled and not cleaned, and the engine air filter looked more like an oil filter. So $900 later with only 10 miles out from Longhorn, the bike is in better condition. I can't give Longhorn the lowest rating because my sales person did work well to get me the bike I wanted despite all the mistakes. I just wish that I had known it was in such bad shape when I rode it away. I hope that Longhorn rectifies their mistakes as I can see that they are highly regarded. But through all of these issues they have lost the respect that they built on day on. read more
