The food is great and the kitchen makes it very quickly despite having a lot of orders in. Our server Brent was one of the best examples of a great server that I've seen. Didn't have to wait on anything and they kept the tables clean and cleared off. Pre-bussing as soon as they saw an empty plate or drink and the atmosphere in the restaurant was laid back while at the same time the architecture made it seem higher class than other chain steakhouses. we went to the Lavonia Longhorn Steakhouse at around 2 P.M. My mother and I both got the ribeye steak. I got double broccoli because I did not want a salad. My mother got the brussel sprouts. The waitress did not tell us that we were at lunch prices and as such only got 1 side. When we got the bill it had the 2 extra sides at full price. Every time we have gone there they charge the menu price for dinner and let you substitute a regular side for the salad and add $2.49 for the upgrade to a signature side. So the bill for our food was more than the dinner price. They wouldn't let us pay dinner price for the meal. So lunch ends up costing more than dinner for the same food. Typical Long Horn with great food and service. I had the small prime rib and my brother had the chicken breast. It wasn't very crowded even though it was Memorial Day weekend. The small prime rib with a loaded potato and salad was more than I could eat. The waitress checked on us several times. I have to say it was one of the best steaks I've had in awhile. Yes, because it had been over 3 months since I last had a steak. I normally cook my own, but I do eat prime rib when I eat out. Just because I don't know how to cook prime rib. I always like the salads at Long Horn and this one was good as well. We had a pleasant experience. This store has several signs that read 100% ID check on all alcohol sales. No ID, no sale. There are no exceptions. The waitress said they even note the person's year of birth on the ticket when they check it. So just be respectful of this policy and be ready to show your ID even though you might be 80 years old. Just do it without complaining. Great meal and outstanding customer service this Sunday evening. My son and I went out on a limb and ordered a porterhouse as we usually have a filet, it arrived a bit over cooked. We were going to eat it anyway but the manager stopped by and inquired how was everything. She insisted to replace the steak properly cooked to our liking. She even asked To Replace it with a filet knowing we went out on a limb to try the porterhouse. The filet arrived perfectly cooked and they continued to make sure we were satisfied. When I came in I said I want to place an order and I want to change my daughters diaper one worker had said well right now there's too many people in the bathroom. We just ate there at 8:00 this evening. Within an hour of finishing our dinner, I have became ill. The waitress stayed on top of refilling drinks & only forgot the extra butter that I asked for for my baked potato which is no big deal. It had very little on it & could have used more than just a (literally) few pieces of crumbled bacon on top. Laying in bed now trying to get the upset stomach to ease off & trying to get warm. Did not order the sirloin because I have in the past and it was tough. The steak that came out was 1/3 gristle and fat. Had no taste, had to put lemon, salt and pepper on it for flavor. Part of the steak was so tough, I had to cut small pieces in order to eat it. The fries were just out of the bag fries with no salt or seasoning. The butter and bread had no flavor. I had the 8oz filet (med) with asparagus & Mac& cheese. Steak was seasoned pretty decent and cooked very well. The quality seemed good for a filet and was tender throughout. I had the salt-crusted strip & the Mr. had the porterhouse. The portions were huge & made for a delicious lunch the next day. The flavor of both was wonderful & cooked perfectly. I tried the Chipotle Peach Margarita - woo - the heat on the rim built up too quickly for me - the drink itself was yummy with a fruity taste and smooth bite from the tequila. Earlier I'd tried their Cosmopolitan - very good. The wait staff were attentive, polite & competent. The noise level was well within acceptable levels. Despite the crowds waiting, we were seated after 30 minutes of a 45 minute wait.. Only unhappy moments were waiting for bar service - you could see the only two bar tenders huddled down at the far end in the little cubby for more than a few minutes. We travel this interstate often to visit family and usually eat in Commerce, Ga. Last after noon we stopped at Longhorn and was seated in the time frame we were told. However we sat for several minutes before the waitress came by. She said she would be back shortly and left the table. After several more minutes she came back to get our drink order. Again we waited another 10 to 12 minutes and she never came back. We left and told the front door person we were leaving due to no service. Overall Longhorns is my favorite restaurant. I'm not from GA but this location was convenient for my family when meeting family in GA . First time here , First the good things . There was a wait and we were told 20 mins and waited exactly 20 mins which was a plus , our server was really friendly . When our appetizers came they were tasty and hot, I ordered the wings , one of the waitress accidentally stuck her finger in my blue cheese and did not get a new one, I had to ask for another one which I feel like if you stuck your finger in it, she should have bought out another one or at least offered to bring out a new one . Then my mom ordered the outlaw , she asked for it medium well and the steak came out WELL DONE. The line manager came out and tried to say the steak was medium well which clearly it wasn't because the steak was burnt and no pink was on the inside. I gave this restaurant a 2 star rating. The 2 star was for the food. The food rated more but the experience left much to be desired. Coming in, the a/c was cold entering in. Before they were to seat us, I ran back to the car to get my wife a jacket. When I came back in, a young Asian woman was waiting to seat us. My wife told me of the man who was at the door when we came in didn't treat her well. He walked away and seemed to ignore her. The young Asian women, I believe name was lisa, treated her more professional than the man did. Come to find out the man was the manager. Lisa told him about our displeasure and instead of addressing the problem with how he made my wife feel, he came defensively telling his position. As someone who is a manager, I know if someone tells you that you did something you listen to their concern but all he kept saying was how they are short handed and how he has to do so much. He said he isn't supposed to be at the door. Well when you're in management, you fill any gaps that's left open, that's your job. He shared more excuses than just apologizing. On top of all that, we got a server that wasn't friendly at all. She was a black woman who seemed like she was not interested in serving that night. I love Longhorns. I wouldn't come back to this one again. The two things that made tonight's dinner a good experience was the food and the young Asian woman named Lisa. I usually like Longhorn steakhouse. Stood at the bar for 10 minutes before a bartender seven acknowledged me. When she did she just looked at me and waited for my order, no greeting whatsoever. Waitress at the table was so nice and pleasant however my filet I ordered medium and came out well done. Because she did not come to check on us until 12 minutes later I did not care to order another. Everyone at the table was pretty much done with their food. No manager came by, no acknowledgement that I paid $25 for basically a baked potato, as I did not eat the steak. Won't be back.
