I always love Cracker Barrel. I love the people that work there. I love their food. I love the atmosphere. I love their gift shop!

This was genuinely some of the worst service I have had in my life. We visited the Cracker Barrel in commerce on a not busy Sunday evening. It took 10 minutes for our waitress to bring our drinks out. Then when we finally got our food she said she was going to bring out our sides and then came back to separate times to tell us they ran out of both of the sides we ordered. The waitress didn't offer to get us anything else. We also asked for a side of lemons twice and never got them. The waitress also waited to bring the check for a while after the had already closed. Then to put the cherry on top the lady who checked us out( appears to be a manager) acted like my boyfriend was trying to steal a piece of candy that he was about to put on the counter. Honestly couldn't care less to come back. As a person who has worked as a waitress and the food industry this service was unacceptable! read more

I haven't been to a Cracker Barrel in years and it was so nice to visit one again! The staff was friendly and assisted us to a table right away. I love their country theme. I had their seasonal smores latte, it was good but it was a bit on the sweet side. Their complimentary biscuits were awesome and I ordered the hashbrown casserole- I loved it! The food was great but our service was terrible she was very rude and didn't come and check on us like she is supposed to

I was visiting my sister ( she lives in Alto) we decided to go Cracker Barrel and drive to Commerce. We had to wait several minutes before our server appeared, not a big deal we were chatting anyways. The side we were on wasn't busy so not sure why it took the time it did. When our food did arrive it wasn't nice and warm. Even our mixture of cornbread and biscuits weren't warm enough to melt the butter. Had to ask for extra napkins several times and refills. My sister told our server and he got the manager, I'm guessing and she acknowledged our concern. I will say we won't be going back to this location or maybe Cracker Barrel period. Could've been just a bad day but they weren't busy. read more

We stopped in the day after Christmas for an early dinner. Jacob was a fantastic server. We were able to quickly order our food and drinks and he made sure our drinks never ran low. We had chicken fingers Mac and cheese and fries, burger and fries, the steak tips and 2 sides early dinner and dumplings meal. The biscuits and corn bread are always a fan favorite at our table. We love Cracker Barrel for the rewards and shopping. The decor is like eating in your grandmas house it's got the country rustic look. read more

Visited the Cracker Barrel in Commerce, GA, for dinner. There's a short wait time, about 15 minutes. Seated and waited... placed order and waited...and waited... The poor servers were working hard, but they were so understaffed. Also, we learned that only 2 of the 4 cooks showed up to work on a Saturday night. Hats off to the servers and 2 cooks- the Managers are the ones who need to step up by hiring more servers and ensuring plenty of backup cooks for the kitchen! Visiting with my church. We called 2 weeks prior, the day before, and the day of, and the female manager in the yellow cardigan and blue shirt gave us a hard time since we apparently didn't reserve seats properly. Gave us major attitude. Half the tables got their drinks and food while the other half were still waiting to get drinks and silverware. I watched as 3 different managers stood around chatting with each other while waiters and even cooks were running around trying to serve the group. What's the point of a manager that won't help out at all? She kept checking her phone and leaning against the wall. For 3 tables of the 8, the got their food in record timing. I said this the last time I ate at a cracker barrel and I should've stuck to it! I will never ate at Cracker Barrel again. I thought because I was in a different city it would be a different experience, but yet again they disappoint. I ordered fried chicken and grits for breakfast and the waitress came back after a few minutes and said they don't serve fried chicken for breakfast. I am not sure why this place doesn't have a 5 star rating?! It is soooo good! The pitchers of mimosas, friend chicken dinners, French toast and even the vegan sausage were great! I personally loved the catfish and grits with the hash brown casserole. And do not forget the biscuits. The servers were very accommodating and provide quick service. The country store and dining room had plenty of interesting decor and keepsakes to take home. Ignore the low rating and check this place out for yourself. read more

The wait to be seated for 5 people wasn't terrible, but the wait for our food was long. I got the Thursday special turkey and dressing with gravy, with sweet potato mush, and a watery dumplin side. None of which was even edible. I left the entire plate. This is one out of multiple times here that it has not been good at all. I finally decided to leave a review. Driving back from North Carolina had to stop for brunch/dinner. As usual we stop at our go too place for a wonderful meal. We enjoy Cracker Barrel because you always get quality food for a good price. We had our standard meal Chicken Fried Steak and Country Fried Steak. Both of them were excellent and my wife had an extra crispy piece of Chicken to take home with her. The pinto beans and collards were spot on. I had the green beans and the Mac and cheese. They make the best southern green beans and I love them. Halie was our waitress and she was spot on the whole time. I really want to point out Alysia who was the greeter in the restaurant section. In between seating customers she was all over the restaurant wiping down tables so customers did not have to wait long times to be able to sit down and eat. We had our Family dinner last night. They were Awesome. Called ahead should've been 15 actually ended with 9. They had our beautiful tables ready and waiting. Our server was the Best Server that I think I have Ever known. All of our food was hot served promptly and all was correct. He was patient with us all ordering checked on us frequently and we were not out of Anything at anytime. This was 130.00 bill that not one of us was disappointed with. Server Joe was worth Every cent. I Highly recommend this location and the Server. He made our family happy for a short time. We'll never forget. read more

first off i'm from southern california, where cracker barrel doesn't exist so this was my very first impression of it. I was a little overwhelmed at the store and wanted to get the right souvenirs and this wonderful young lady with blonde hair was very helpful and sweet with her hospitality. On the other hand, I did not have a wonderful experience with the man who was the hostess. I think his name was Baron. He was not welcoming and did not offer a genuine smile or sense of hospitality. He made me feel like I was stupid for not knowing what it was like here. Overall, the food was not bad, but if my first impression was with that guy, I would've walked out the store. read more

I came on a Saturday evening with my family, and we waited about 30 minutes. When we were seated, our waitress was very fast and she got our orders right away. They brought us plenty of biscuits and gravy while we were waiting for our food. For my meal I got 9 chocolate chip pancakes. I have had Cracker Barrels pancakes countless times, but the addition of chocolate chips made landed them in my top five favorite pancakes! Overall this was a great meal and the service was amazing. I went out with my husband and children on Valentine's Day. My food tasted horrible. The steak had a twangy, gamey taste to it and had a weird texture , the hashbrown casserole was cold and was bland. My eggs were swimming in a pool of grease. I told the waitress, she grunted. Never apologized and did not offer me anything else to it. She never refilled my drink. I sat with an empty glass. My husband had to flag down another waitress for a refill. Unfortunately I cannot leave more than three stars due to the fact that this location was out of sour dough bread this morning. This was a huge deal when I was there for French Toast. Never had such a bad experience at any Cracker Barrel. Food + service both lacking. Service was way slow. Drinks took forever to get. Asked for a galss of ice so I could get my beer cold and was given a glass of ice water. Waitress rolled her eyes at me and never did bring just ice. I ended up spooning ice out of the water and tolerating it that way. My fish was underdone + the cobbler was cold. Wife said her meal was mediocre at best-just tasted blah. Mother n law ate a few bites and then just sat there not eating another thing. Waitress did not ask Mom if she wanted a to go box but I'm not surprised as her attitude was somewhat rude. I don't know if it was my Marine Veteran hat or my color but the waitress just did not seem to like me from the moment she came to our table. I'll not state my ethnicity but I assure you it's not what your used to thinking. Even if she was having a bad day that's no reason to act rudely to guests. I'm sure the wife left a tip but I'll bet it was not much. Been to this location many times over the years but I guess if I go back it will not be to this 1 for sure. This restaurant is what you would expect for a Cracker Barrel. The food is good and hot and the help is good when they are not being trained. The store has a lot of wonderful items but they are a bit expensive. read more
