As expected, there was a wait. But, he remembered that the bar and tables in the bar were not part of the wait. He asked the host about a table towards the back and was told we could have it and the host, Derrick was actually just helping check people in and would be our server. We decided to use a gift card to enjoy a 1/2 rack of ribs with broccoli & baked potato soup, as well as an order of Parmesan Crusted Chicken with broccoli and an upgraded side of brussel sprouts (for an additional $3.49). As for the food, everything was as expected. Nothing really wowed us or knocked our socks off. And nothing was really horrible. It was all a mediocre blur, except for the cold, soggy, underwhelming brussel sprouts. Instead of an upgrade, it should have cost LESS than the regular sides. I would never ever recommend them. Was back in Daytona Beach for another night of entertainment. Was going to revisit another restaurant when we needed to stop in at Longhorn. Longhorn is one of my favorite restaurants. She asked me what my name was again and looked confused. She started tapping away on her screen as if she had to reenter my information again to get us seated. However, the dining experience is significantly marred by a persistent issue: fruit flies. There was no hostess at the desk and people kept walking by and looking, but no one said anything. When the hostess finally came, she offered a dry apology and took us to a table all the way in the rear of the restaurant. Our waiter, Desmon, came quickly and was super friendly. If I was grading just him, I would give him 5 stars, but I left a 25% tip to suffice. We ordered the Spinach dip as an appetizer. When it came out, originally, the chips were all burnt. The waitress that brought it out tried to drop it off and leave, but I caught her and pointed it out to her. She took it back to make more chips...they brought the pictured plate out. The dip was cold and the chips were greasy. Next out was my meal. The Wild West shrimp was a disaster. Small and rubbery...also very greasy. The loaded baked potato was cold when it hit the table. We had a larger party, so we had about a 35 minute wait, which if you're looking to be seated sooner, may be a bit too long, but we were excited about grabbing a steak. The restaurant is nicely designed, but a bit on the smaller side for how many people were seated. Thankfully we were seated close to the corner of the room, so it was a bit less noticeable, how loud and busy the restaurant was. We ordered the onion rings for the table to share, which arrived cold, but our waitress kindly heated them up for us. I also ordered a steak, a Caesar salad, and a loaded baked potato. The food was all good! No complaints about my own food whatsoever. The steak wasn't overcooked, the baked potato was just as I had expected (the toppings and the way the potato was cooked were perfect for me) and the Caesar was delicious. Another person in my party ordered one of the soups and unfortunately couldn't eat most of it because it was a bit oversalted. Thankfully the waitress removed it from the bill, as he had only taken a few bites before realizing it was too much salt for his liking. I would say if you're looking for a relatively "safe" chain option for a good steak, or American food in general, that has plenty of local locations, I'd recommend Longhorn. The prices are reasonable, the food is pretty good, and when there have been issues with food quality or temperature, they've delivered every time. I was pleased with my experience. Haven't been in awhile and got some gift cards for Christmas so I decided, what the heck I'm going to Longhorn! The food was great and up to the level I have come to expect from my visits and I was seated very quickly despite an initial line at the door. Berry B was my server and I had to stop to ask how long he was a server; 20+ years and it shows! He killed it nonstop! There was never a time I had to wonder where he was or ask for anything as he constantly anticipated my needs and quickly met them. My food came out quickly and the entire place was rather quiet for being pretty full. Definitely one of my favorite visits here and will continue to come back. I know it may be strange to some but Longhorn's ribeye has become one of my favorite steaks I've had at any restaurant with only one outlier during Magical Dining beating it! Honestly I wouldn't recommend anyone going there. We went there, with just 3 of us, waited for 20 min for a table..which was fine as they were decently busy. But then, to be seated and watch over a half dozen different employees walk by our table like we were invisible and we literally sat for almost 20 more min and were never even greeted with bev naps and water. Came in on a Friday afternoon for lunch. Immediately asked the waitress for a bottle beer and ice tea before I sat down while taking off my jacket. The tea came but the beer didn't. I finally had to ask the greeter to check on it. Someone else finally brought it, not my waitress. I ordered the 7 Pepper Sirloin Salad medium well, just a little pink. The waitress dropped it off and left. The steak was more rare to medium, but the waitress never came back to check. When she finally came back I showed her the one piece of steak I wouldn't eat and ordered another beer, which never came back, again. I finally caught another greeter and asked her for it, she had someone else bring it, my waitress never brought it. My waitress was horrible, I talked to a manager, she didn't seem she really cared, it felt like lip service with her. I let her know I was informing her to hopefully make some changes. Tonight we celebrated or daughter's birthday, we started with an appetizer "shrimp", which was good a little under fried, but good, she had French onion soup which was cold, we had salads, (why do places put bad lettuce in bowl's? I always ask for salad dressing on the side, to see how fresh the romaine lettuce salad is, and tonight it was not fresh, I hate seeing the black spots on the lettuce and both our salads had a lot of black on the leaves. So much I didn't eat my salad and I always eat salad's. Our daughter had a Cesar salad that was way-drenched in dressing. Our meals came out, chop steak, which was loaded with gravy, a couple mushrooms and a few onions. The Longhorn steak was very, very grizzly, it was very tuff to cut. At the end of the meal she received a scoop of vanilla ice cream with Chocolate. The meal was far from perfect, that's for sure. We really like the food here normally and look forward to coming here. Today though, our waitress was way off her game. We placed our lunch order with our drink order because we are regulars and know what we want and how we like everything. She took the order and seemed to have taken notes. Here are the problems we faced: 1. Salad was delivered with dressing already on it. I've never had the dressing already on the salad. Is this new? It always comes on the side so the customer can determine how much to use. I don't like a lot of dressing on my salad. Too bad for me, it was already drenched in dressing according to my liking. 2. My wife's burger was under cooked. She specifically asked for "no pink, well done". She made it crystal clear she wants it well done. Personally I like it medium. Anyway it came out and yes, was not cooked properly. Mine was leas pink than hers so we switched but now we both had the wrong cheese, and other toppings since we had to switch. 3. No refills offered. The waitress came by once to check on things? Although she barely stopped and turned her head to walk away before we had the chance to answer. Normally they ask if we'd like a refill or really good wait staff just bring a refill without asking. Our waitress today did neither. Disappointing. It was about 6:00 PM mid-week I was working a project about 20 mins west of Daytona Beach when I got a call and an invite to grab a steak and cocktail at this Longhorn Steakhouse. I'm familiar with the brand but I've never set foot on this property. Traffic was lighter than usual on ISB so I flipped a u-turn and it was only a short jog to the parking lot - the restaurant didn't seem busy so I grabbed a space not far from the front entrance. It was nearing 6:30 PM by the time we were seated and another 5 mins or so before this beautiful Patron Margarita was sitting in front of us filled to the salted rim - Sarah was our server you must requested to be seated in her section, she's enthusiastic, extremely outgoing and very professional this girl managed her customers like family, her smile was inviting, there's no doubt this wasn't her first rodeo. The offerings here are many whether you choose Flo's Filet, the Outlaw Ribeye or the Renegade Sirloin it's likely this is going to be a round-up unmatched at a steakhouse with this price point. There are a number of steaks that would raise the brow of even the most seasoned wrangler, the Strip, T-Bone or the massive Porterhouse all of these should come with a custom container so you can enjoy the next day. Today I chose the ribeye 12 ounces of nicely marbled beef seasoned boldly and cooked medium rare with a loaded baked potato I passed on the chives. All of this arrived piping hot timed perfectly after the house salad and loaf of warm crusty bread and a crock of real butter. Don't judge this location by other experiences that may not have met your expectations, all Longhorns aren't created equal unfortunately this one is managed and the manager is out on the floor ensuring you're 100% satisfied, the employees here are sincere and they appreciate the business especially during these times of uncertainty, folks these are our neighbors and they are working through the downturn in business so if they perform show your appreciation and over-tip them and let Karma reward you. Thursday night, we went to the Daytona Beach location. Everyone liked what they had and noticed that the prices have really gone up. A bottle of beer $7+. Seems a little steep, The only comments made was that the loaded baked potato on was over full of sour cream, way too much. The Salmon was a large piece a little over cooked. The Fire grilled T-Bone was very good, really thin. The Ribeye and Shrimp, steak over cooked and the Shrimp undercooked. The best part was since I didn't want the rice pilaf I received 3 sides, which 2 was a little undercooked. The Longhorn Steak was almost perfect, just a little thin for having it rare. Which being so thin it didn't turn out rare. It was explained to us by the bar tender and waitress that most items are undercooked that way and all the steaks are thin. Needless to say the food did not look like any of the pictures on the menu or online. With 4 drinks and food, our bill was $300.00+ and to us just not worth it.! If we had went to a very high end place where the atmosphere was pleasant and you could not here the other conversation, and seating was not hard as a rock, or almost on the floor it would be different. My steak had none of those characteristics. My first look, it looked like a thin New York strip. three different people came by and assured me it was a rib eye. then where are the above markers? the folks said it was because of being hand cut. if you trim off everything that makes a rib eye look like a rib eye, then its not a rib eye. a single steak order might get away with that. but two orders put on the table at the same time, you can see both were not the same. very disappointed. . read more

Stopped here on the way to Orlando for lunch. We were sat immediately right outside of the bar area. Our server was also the bartender and she was very nice and helpful with questions we had. Everything arrived very quickly from the drinks to the bread to the entrees themselves which was a great relief since we're still going to Orlando. I had ordered water while my partner ordered Bud light. We got the bread. Right after we got our salads I had mixed greens and he had a full salad with blue cheese while mine was balsamic vinaigrette. I ordered the 6 oz flos fillet with the lobster tail and was informed that we could actually do it blue I didn't realize that they did blue so I was very happy to hear this. My partner ordered the renegades sirloin with the eight count red rock shrimp with his loaded baked potato and he was very pleased. We had a horrible experience two weeks ago at del Frisco's in Orlando. I spent almost $250 on the meal that was very poorly done with food and service. Coming here and only spending $60, basically nothing, was a relief but also shows that quality is definitely better than quantity. My family has loved this particular Longhorn for years. We have celebrated birthday dinners, special occasions etc. at this restaurant. When I had out of town friends come in we decided to go for a good steak. We went in as a party of 11. We arrived at 6:30 pm and promptly put our name in with the hostess. We knew it was going to be a wait because it was really busy, which surprised us, as it was a Tuesday night. We were told they would text us when there was a table ready. After waiting for 2 hours, we asked the hostess about how much longer it would be. The hostess told us it would be another 45 minutes. Waiting at a restaurant in Daytona Beach is to be expected even on a weeknight, but a wait of 3 hours is just ridiculous. The oldest among our group was 20 years old, most were 18 and 19, we can't help but feel if we were an older group we would have NOT been over looked for so long. They honestly just were hoping we would leave and go somewhere else. Once we were seated the entire restaurant was empty. The food was served, unfortunately 3 out of the 11 meals were not what was ordered. We were patient and kind even though we weren't treated the same.
