Lemon Garlic Chicken with Loaded Baked Potato and Asparagus

Was back in Daytona Beach for another night of entertainment. Was going to revisit another restaurant when we needed to stop in at Longhorn. Longhorn is one of my favorite restaurants. I absolutely love the Outlaw Ribeye and Crispy Brussels Sprouts. Mom had the Lemon Garlic Chicken with Loaded Baked Potato and Asparagus. This was my first time at this location and of course ordered my favorite meal. It was delicious. The waitstaff was friendly and checked in periodically. Melissa was training that night and did a good job. My only issue was when we first arrived. We checked in, gave my name and was informed it would be a 10 minute wait. No worries. We sat and were patiently waiting. I had to eventually approach the receptionist after noticing a few people who came after and was waiting got seated. She asked me what my name was again and looked confused. She started tapping away on her screen as if she had to reenter my information again to get us seated. Once she did that, we were able to be seated. Overall, great atmosphere and great food.

We came in on a Saturday for lunch. Great "Steakhouse Lunch Specials" ranging from $9.49 to $11.99. We ordered the "Half Pound Steakhouse Burger " $10.99 and the "Grilled Chicken & Strawberry Salad" $9.49. The each come with your choice of a zde, soup or salad along with complimentary bread and butter. The burger is huge! Our waitress made some great suggestions and the lunch was great!

Longhorn Steakhouse generally hits the mark with good food and good service. Their steaks are consistently well-cooked, and the staff is friendly. However, the dining experience is significantly marred by a persistent issue: fruit flies. On every visit, the little pests buzz around the food and drinks, especially near the bar, making it hard to relax and enjoy the meal. It's a solid 4-star spot for the food alone, but the annoying fruit flies drop the rating down to a 3. Fix the bugs, and you fix the review! Bottom Line: Come for the steak, but be prepared to swat.

I'm going to say they were off their game today. Upon arrival, we stood and waited to be greeted for 7-10 minutes. There was no hostess at the desk and people kept walking by and looking, but no one said anything. When the hostess finally came, she offered a dry apology and took us to a table all the way in the rear of the restaurant. Our waiter, Desmon, came quickly and was super friendly. If I was grading just him, I would give him 5 stars, but I left a 25% tip to suffice. We ordered the Spinach dip as an appetizer. When it came out, originally, the chips were all burnt. The waitress that brought it out tried to drop it off and leave, but I caught her and pointed it out to her. She took it back to make more chips...they brought the pictured plate out. The dip was cold and the chips were greasy. Next out was my meal. The Wild West shrimp was a disaster. Small and rubbery...also very greasy. The loaded baked potato was cold when it hit the table. I was pretty hungry when it came, I almost forgot to take a photo. But, yeah, The cheese wouldn't even melt... The fresh steamed broccoli was very fresh, with no seasoning. And there was lots of white spots. It wasn't a great night for Longhorn. It'll be a little bit before I go back

Haven't been in awhile and got some gift cards for Christmas so I decided, what the heck I'm going to Longhorn! The food was great and up to the level I have come to expect from my visits and I was seated very quickly despite an initial line at the door. Berry B was my server and I had to stop to ask how long he was a server; 20+ years and it shows! He killed it nonstop! There was never a time I had to wonder where he was or ask for anything as he constantly anticipated my needs and quickly met them. My food came out quickly and the entire place was rather quiet for being pretty full. Definitely one of my favorite visits here and will continue to come back. I know it may be strange to some but Longhorn's ribeye has become one of my favorite steaks I've had at any restaurant with only one outlier during Magical Dining beating it! Keep it up Longhorn and Berry!

Tonight we celebrated or daughter's birthday, we started with an appetizer "shrimp", which was good a little under fried, but good, she had French onion soup which was cold, we had salads, (why do places put bad lettuce in bowl's? I always ask for salad dressing on the side, to see how fresh the romaine lettuce salad is, and tonight it was not fresh, I hate seeing the black spots on the lettuce and both our salads had a lot of black on the leaves. So much I didn't eat my salad and I always eat salad's. Our daughter had a Cesar salad that was way-drenched in dressing. Our meals came out, chop steak, which was loaded with gravy, a couple mushrooms and a few onions. The Longhorn steak was very, very grizzly, it was very tuff to cut. At the end of the meal she received a scoop of vanilla ice cream with Chocolate. The meal was far from perfect, that's for sure. I wish places would pay a little more attention to detail, because the bad salad took away from the rest of the meal.

They set up a table of appetizers and the servers were around to take our drink order. We had two drink tickets each. I was aware enough to ask what I could get with the ticket. Others placed their order and had to pay above what the ticket covered. Once we were all seated, servers came around to ask us our dinner choice. I had the steak and my husband had the Seabass. We started with a large wedge salad. Delicious. One of our friends insisted we order the bacon outside of the included dinner, so we did. It was amazing. The sides were served family style- asparagus, potato galette. Everything was so good. By the time my steak arrived, I was so full from the family style appetizers and the salad. I had one bite of my steak and I packed it up to go. I even packed up my cheesecake. I put that in the freezer when I got home. I ate it about a month later and it was fantastic. Perfect New York style cheesecake. We stayed late at the bar and had a couple cocktails. It's a really nice place. Food is heat and service is too. We valeted the car. Bathrooms are part of the hotel. Spacious and clean. I would recommend this place for a fancy date night. We can't wait to go back.

The first time we went there we were staying there while looking for a condo in the area. We celebrated the purchase of our condo and many other events and non-events over the years. It's a classic elegant steak house that looks over the Atlantic Ocean. The service is impeccable, and the food is spot on every single time-as are the cocktails! If you are there early evening , there are some amazing offers and you simply cannot go wrong with any one of them. Last evening I had the filet and lobster tail with a chopped wedge salad. It was amazing!

We arrived and walked in and were surprised that the location didn't seem to match the menu we'd checked out online, but we sat down for dinner anyway. One of our group ordered the calzones cocktail, and the server mentioned that they grill the cactus to make the puree for it to order. With that level of detail, we had great hopes. Our drinks were great, we ordered appetizers, including the mozzarella planks, which were perfectly fried, and caprese salad, which was so fresh and delicious. As a native of New England, I've had my fair share of chowders- this clam chowder was SO flavorful. For dinner, we had steaks and seafood. The steaks were all seasoned well and cooked to the perfect temperatures and the house vegetables were cooked but still had a great texture to them. Overall, we were very impressed with the food and the service. I'd definitely go back again.
