We had our work Christmas party here. They did a really nice job. We had the private room and the small area just outside of it. They set up a table of appetizers and the servers were around to take our drink order. We had two drink tickets each. I was aware enough to ask what I could get with the ticket. Others placed their order and had to pay above what the ticket covered. Once we were all seated, servers came around to ask us our dinner choice. I had the steak and my husband had the Seabass. We started with a large wedge salad. Delicious. One of our friends insisted we order the bacon outside of the included dinner, so we did. It was amazing. The sides were served family style- asparagus, potato galette. Everything was so good. By the time my steak arrived, I was so full from the family style appetizers and the salad. I had one bite of my steak and I packed it up to go. I even packed up my cheesecake. I put that in the freezer when I got home. I ate it about a month later and it was fantastic. Perfect New York style cheesecake. We stayed late at the bar and had a couple cocktails. It's a really nice place. Food is heat and service is too. We valeted the car. Bathrooms are part of the hotel. Spacious and clean. I would recommend this place for a fancy date night. We can't wait to go back. read more

Have I really never reviewed Hyde Park before? I've probably been here a dozen times over the years and absolutely love it! The first time we went there we were staying there while looking for a condo in the area. We celebrated the purchase of our condo and many other events and non-events over the years. It's a classic elegant steak house that looks over the Atlantic Ocean. The service is impeccable, and the food is spot on every single time-as are the cocktails! Came to Hyde Park for first time. Service was very good here! Staff does a great job taking care of their customers! The place is dark inside and very open table. We sat in a booth that fits 6 people not very comfortable. I had the 22oz steak cooked medium. The steak had a good butter flavor but didn't taste any seasoning. Steak was tender. Ordered Brussel sprouts but hardly any Brussels sprouts. The million dollar potato was just okay. We ordered a calamari very good quality. Also ordered Halibut and it was good. We ordered the butter cake for dessert. Way too much sauce for my liking. We got the cheaper red wine cab and it was good. Bill for 2 was $300.00 with tip. My boyfriend and I were recommended this restaurant by the manager Mark Ford when we met him while we were out at dinner the night before. He was very welcoming to us as we are on vacation here in Daytona. We came to the restaurant and it was beautiful and had an amazing view of the ocean. The food was incredible and the portions were good. Our personal favorite was their New York strip with the garlic mashed potatoes. Our server was very kind and helpful. Fancy steakhouse along the Daytona resort strip. We were staying right next door so it was super convenient. We were a large party of 9. The service was pretty good. Prices are a bit high but it's for the vacation crowd so not too crazy. Quality is pretty high. I got the ribeye. Several at the table got the steak jarret, which is just filet mignon with a sauce. We attended an anniversary dinner here for close friends, as always Hyde Park Prime Steakhouses delivers, the restaurant was surprisingly empty but again with was a Thursday night and like most people I think this is more of a special occasion destination. We arrived a few minutes prior to our reservation and were greeted by the hostess and the manager so the experience started out as expected which is nothing less than exceptional. Our table was ready and there was no wait, the atmosphere here speaks of an elegant fine dining experience. Our servers welcomed us and ensured we were familiar with the Hyde Park experience, although this was my first visit to this location I have dined at a number of other locations. We all ordered cocktails as our water glasses were filled and a great selection of breads were set on the table. The cocktails were delivered quickly and were perfect with generous pours. The service here was attentive and outstanding, our servers were long term employees and definitely well versed in fine dining and they completely exceeded our expectations. We all ordered shared meals center cut filets, wedge salads, and loaded baked potatoes even though there are so many tempting options. The steaks were perfect, very high quality and definitely prepared to melt in your mouth, the wedge was perfect and the crusted loaded baked potatoes is a must have. It was the perfect evening in every way, the prices are what they are but the value of the entire experience made this a real bargain including validated valet parking. Our waitresses were good, and the food was delicious. I would have given five stars however the manager came by and introduced himself as Sean Sweeney and asked if he can do anything. Two of us went there on a Saturday night at 5:30. I love their reservation system. We were seated at a great table. The service was sketchy. No one introduced themselves, with name or what they did. So, we were confused as to who our server was, and often had to ask for things, like menus, bread, bill. Normally, the manager stops by at our table. This manager never did. The filets were both ordered medium well...one came out mostly rare, and the other fully cooked. The food was good. We were there for 2 hours. Now realize that expectations are low when visiting Daytona Beach, but I was hoping for a good meal at a high end steakhouse. Boy was I disappointed. Now the staff was polite and attentive and the restaurant was nicely furnished with an ocean view and relatively quiet due to being off season. Now that's where the good part ends. The prices are what you would expect at a high end chop house, but the food not so much. Honestly the steak at one of the Texas road house type restaurants is better and less the 1/3 the price. Now I don't mind paying $100 for a steak, but it better be top notch. Couple that with paying the usual 2x to 3x the cost for a bottle of wine and it feels like you've been taken. We've eaten at Hyde Park many times. The food is great but nothing about the menu is particularly exciting. I would definitely recommend their tables with a beach view if they're available. And if you cant get a table there, ask for the main dining area. We've been seated around the back a few times, in a room that's used for private events at times and the service in that area has always been poor. The bone-in ribeye and fillet are awesome. Potato au gratin, Caesar salad and calamari make great additions to your main. We aren't big drinkers but have observed that everyone seems to enjoy their drink options. What it all comes done to for me is the service. A reasonable expectation for anyone paying these prices for a meal would be top notch service, attentive servers, full drinks, clean tables etc. And having eaten there many times I can honestly say that we've been disappointed in the service every time. They also tried to impose a time limit on our dinner in exchange for adding someone to the party, totally before even arriving at the restaurant. read more

This is hands down the best restaurant in the area! The service was exceptional and the food was amazing. It was my husband's birthday and they called to confirm the reservation and asked for his name. When we got to the restaurant they had printed his name on the menu and gave him a happy birthday card signed by the staff. It was a super sweet start to the evening meal! We asked a lot of questions, and our waitress was excellent with her responses, recommendations and follow-ups. She was also very patient with us - we are big foodies so we asked specific questions such as types of forest mushrooms, types of oysters, how sauces or other dishes were prepared, etc. We ended up ordering the bacon and oyster appetizers, along with the aged steak with twin lobster tails on top (they were a bit on the tiny side) and crab on the side with asparagus (only 4 pieces) with a side of forest mushrooms. The steak came iut and was overdone so we had pointed this out to the waitress when she came to check in. The staff quickly came out and took the steak, asked what was wrong and then remade the steak - it was perfect the second time around. The cocktails were also great and when the steak came out I asked for a wine expert who came out and recommended the perfect red to accompany the steak. For dessert they gave us a gluten free lava cake which was super decadent and it was on the house. They made my husband's birthday extra special and we loved our meal! Mark, the manager, came by during dinner to check on us, which was such a nice touch you can really tell they care about the guest experience here. We started with the carpaccio and the tuna appetizers, both were absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. For the main course, we had the surf and turf, which was cooked perfectly. The three stars reflect the overall value. Prices are very high, and I felt that my food wasn't seasoned properly. I ordered the fillet Earnhardt. At first, they brought me just a regular fillet. They apologized and it did not take long for the correct dish to come out. Steak was bland and the side dishes of potatoes au gratin and spinach with mushrooms were also bland. Portions are very small. We have been to many high-end steak restaurants and do not mind spending the money on a quality meal. The 8 oz Filet was mediocre, not as tender as it should have been and had an odd flavor in the meat, not a seasoning, the meat itself. Definitely not what I'd expect for a rather expensive meal. The employees were were all very nice and the ambiance was as expected, but as a high end steak restaurant it misses the mark. One of the best steakhouses I've been to hands down. We were visiting from Fort Lauderdale for the weekend. Our servers Liz and Bruce provided exceptional service! Shout out to them!
