I visited Red Lobster with my sister for her birthday. It had been years since our last visit, and we were curious to see how things felt after recent headlines about possible closures. We ordered from the Lobsterfest menu. I had the Dragon Teriyaki Lobster and Lobster Pasta Au Gratin with a side of Shrimp Scampi and a Dockside Sipper. My sister chose the Grilled Lobster, Shrimp, and Salmon with a Strawberry Daiquiri. The meal exceeded expectations. The lobster was fresh and properly cooked. The pasta was rich and satisfying without being heavy. Portions were generous enough for leftovers. My sister also thoroughly enjoyed her meal. Service was attentive and efficient. The staff was friendly, and our food arrived promptly. The only drawback was pricing. Both entrees started around 40 dollars, which raises expectations at this level. Been seeing the new commercials for Red Lobster and $5 drinks. To be clear, the $5 drinks are only Mon-Fri and a couple hours (Happy Hour). The wine - 6oz house was a bit pricey (more than double the happy hour price) so I decided to go with the margarita flight. It was so good! They're called "mini" but not really. This is a wooden tray of three mini margs in watermelon, Caribbean blue, and passion fruit flavors; the former two are rimmed with salt, the latter with Tajín. (Directly from their menu) I was in the mood for surf and turf but at almost $40 decided to have a 6oz sirloin and add on shrimp scampi ($20+$6.50) which was a much better deal. My husband had shrimp scampi linguine (I didn't get a pic, he eats fast) but judging by the empty plate, it was awesome! Our server was Miranda who was attentive and keot his iced tea refills and cheddar bay biscuit basket full. My steak was perfectly cooked, the shrimp scampi hot and delicious and I suggest you spend a couple bucks and upgrade to the brussel sprouts. They are totally worth it! The only difference we saw-no dinner salad. I don't usually eat one anyway. I'd rather have room for the main course, but I know it's important to some. Overall, more expensive (we didn't even entertain the "boil" options as Daytona Beach has an awesome seafood boil restaurant with more options and at less than Red Lobster's two basic options), but good. Glad they're back and will definitely go again. No real change to the decor. Still a big tank with a few lobsters and maybe half of the dining room from years ago, but there were definitely some big parties trying it out again. read more

Absolutely Awful. The biscuits we use to love tasted like cardboard. Ordered the seafood boil . Maine lobster, shrimp, crab legs, potatoes. No way was this Maine lobster. They were same exact size as the shrimp. Potatoes were raw , couldn't get fork in. Dish was so greasy. They brought out instant mashed potatoes. $44. dinner not worth $10. Shout out to Hailey at Red Lobster--she was phenomenal! Her service was incredibly attentive, and she made the whole dining experience so much better. I tried the Shrimp and Lobster Linguine, which was okay in my opinion, but the real star of the show was the seafood-stuffed mushrooms--absolutely loved them! The food is basic, unless you get a boil, maybe. Fried shrimp is basically battered and fried shrimp. The menu is pretty good. But to me it's franchise food.delivered by some place like Sysco, all measured and ready to go. They liked the lobster bisque. But when my friends told me how it's made I wouldn't go near it! The restaurant as a whole was very pleasant not noisy and clean.And the happy hour drinks were large and very good.(mine was a margarita) my friend got the threesome margaritas($15) very nice. Let's start off by saying our server, Jicielle C. and the restaurant manager, Shane, elevated this review to 5 stars. We don't usually "do" chain restaurants but we came for the birthday reward and of course, the Cheddar Bay Biscuits! Anyway, we dined out at least twice a week all year long and Jicielle took charge right off the bat. Her superior customer service, knowlege and attention to detail was above and beyond. Shane gave us some extra attentive care when we let him know we were here for a birthday celebration. Anyway we can't say enough good things about the folks here at the Daytona Beach location. Living here in Daytona Beach, and it being a tourist destination, and Biketoberfest we weren't expecting much. So, onto the food. Everything was really quite good. We started with the stuffed mushrooms appetizer which was just ok. For entrees we had the Grilled shrimp and the Lobster and Shrimp Linguini. Food rates average but the service was the really standout reason for this review. Great job Jicielle and Shane and we'll be sure to recommend this Red Lobster to our friends and neighbors. My mom and I were seated right away. Tammy saw my mom coming in with her walker and took us right to a booth at the bar area so she didn't have to walk a lot. She took our drink order and returned right away. We ordered the three shrimp meals for $20 with one side. She got broccoli and I got a potato. She ordered all coconut shrimp since she likes it so much and I ordered shrimp Alfredo, grilled shrimp and breaded shrimp. I ordered a side salad also. The salad came out first and was great. Mixed greens, tomatoes, cheese and onions with French dressing. The bread was great too! The atmosphere of this restaurant is always fantastic: clean and welcoming. We have been at this Red Lobster several times and have had great experiences. The restaurant is clean and both the service and food have been very good. We really like snow crab so try to go on Tuesdays when the dinner is on special. We've not been disappointed yet. We get the snow crab steamed without the garlic and each time has been cooked perfectly so they are easy to get out if the shell and I always get the broccoli which is very good. We also love their garlic cheddar biscuits . If you like snow crab, I definitely recommend you try it. read more

Hadn't been to this Red Lobster in about 6 months and never had any problems with the food before.. So we decided to go for an early lunch on a recent Friday and there was a good crowd of diners.. We were seated very quickly and server was at our table in minutes for drink orders.. I ordered the Admirals feast and spouse the Walt's fried shrimp.. We asked the server if the biscuits could be made without the butter/garlic topping and no problem at all and they were delicious.. Our food order came out quickly, very hot and delicious.. We decided to order 2 shrimp cocktails to take home for evening meal.. They were "huge sized shrimp" cooked to perfection and honestly some of the best we have had at any seafood place around.. Noticed a LOT of people ordering the seafood boils including large families and groups of diners.. They obviously are a new favorite seafood option as they have family feast sized menu options.. The service was a little on the slow side being handicapped it does take longer for some people to make up their mind eat their food and leave. But experience the same problem that I did 6 to 8 months ago that I saved up to have dinner at the red lobster and within 24 hours, I was having upset system and this is three times in a row going to red lobster so either I've got problems or they've got problems. The food I purchased tonight Tuesday, 10/14/25 was terrible. Everything tasted old. Clam chowder was awful. The consistency of the chowder was lumpy, not smooth like it has always been before. The two pieces of fried fish was greasy. Two hushpuppies that callme with dinner were dry. Calamari was chewy and tasted like they were reheated. My husband and I decided to use our gift card at Red Lobster since it was raining. Friday evening at 5:45 not too many people in the restaurant. We were seated immediately and our server came as soon as we were seated. We ordered margaritas for our drinks, my husband classic on the rocks and I ordered a passionfruit on the rocks. The drinks were good but definitely on the sweeter side. The biscuits were very good which are also complementary. I ordered the 2 shrimp dinner, I ordered the grilled and the crispy dragon shrimp with fries as the side, my husband ordered the surf and turf with sirloin steak, lobster tail and sides of broccoli and baked potato. When we received our dinners, I think I had 4 of the crispy dragon shrimps (not much sauce on them as advertised), grilled shrimp was dry and very hard to get off the skewer and was laying on what I thought was rice pilaf but it was all stuck together. My husband really enjoyed the sirloin steak, he requested med/rare and it was but was excited for the lobster tail and it fell very short, overcooked and very dry. He was very disappointed. We had a pretty large group and while looking for a place to eat, the endless shrimp they do on Mondays caught our attention. We decided on Red Lobster and were immediately greeted when we walked in! I went to Red Lobster at the Daytona Speedway a few days ago. The one I used to go to closed down in Sanford, FL. I have never been so impressed with any Red Lobster but I was with this one. I ordered 2 Lobster tails and they were so big and tasty I loved them. My waiter was the best and I was treated like a Princess. The place was spotless and service was the best. On my way out I met the manager and I told him how pleased I was with everything. Thank you Red Lobster for having such a nice establishment and a manager and employees that really care. Good Ole Red Lobster, what was Bill Darden thinking in 1968 when he opened the first restaurant in Lakeland, Florida, did he "Sea Food Differently" back then, well we may never know the answer to that question since the Darden Group unloaded the Red Lobster chain of more than 700 stores in 2014. The new owners a private investment company out of San Francisco who took the helm has definitely taken the marketing campaign up a few notches, it's yet to be seen if their experience in the restaurant business can bring this aging chain back from the depths and steer them into profitability or let them sink into the abyss. I've been coming to Red Lobster for most of my life in the early days for the "Shrimp Fest" this trip was to redeem an aging gift card. This restaurant was clean and neat and appears to be well managed. Our server was very outgoing and was really on top of her game. The food was delivered fast and was consistent with what we were expecting nothing bad here just predictable, If you enjoy dining at Red Lobster you'll absolutely love this location. The steak was still pink on the inside and was recooked, Still came out pink. The alfreado was watered down and very unappealing. Going to Red Lobster in Daytona was a waste of gas, money and time.
