We have been in ridgeland for a week due to the storm. And wanted longhorn, but had to do curbside pickup order due to having our dogs. We have never had an issue dining in, food is always great. However, curbside pickup was horrible. 1. Basically tipped 5 dollars to myself, because no one brought our food out. So, I had to go in and wait in line. And my food had been sitting on the counter behind the bar. 2. The shrimp was cold 3. The steak was cooked well done I ordered medium 4. The wings were not cooked all the way through 5. Ordered a loaded baked potato. Got a plain one and by the grace of GOD I asked for butter before we left. 6. The Mac and cheese was tasteless. The only thing that was good was the salad. Absolutely awful customer service. My friends and I were told there would be about a 50-minute wait, which we were completely fine with. We arrived around 9 and were number 3 on a waiting list. After waiting nearly an hour, we went back inside to check and found out we had been sitting there for nothing and were ultimately denied service. What's most frustrating is that when we checked back in, we were suddenly told there were still 4 tables ahead of us--despite being number 3 when we arrived. I work in customer service myself, so I understand delays happen, but leaving guests waiting that long with no update and no effort to communicate on what was going on is unacceptable. This is my second time coming here and honestly because of my experience the first time is why we are back a week later. I treated my mother for lunch last Saturday while watching the college games. We sat in the bar area and Robinn was our bartender as well as our server. She was doing everything and serving everyone. She had great customer service and was so friendly. Very knowledgeable of the menu and even made some good suggestions on the lunch menu. I love the atmosphere in the bar area. If you just wanna catch a quick meal and drink and watch the games I would recommend. First visit I had the cheeseburger lunch meal with loaded baked potato. I thought about that potato all week which is why me and mom's are back today. Another Saturday in Long Horn eating good and watch college football. They have good drink specials as well. During that time, we even checked back in and were reassured that we would be seated soon. However, when we went inside, we were suddenly told they wouldn't be able to seat us anymore, even though we were first on the waitlist. Last Friday, after a doctor's appointment, I decided to use my final gift card from Christmas 2024. With four broken ribs and six spinal fusions, getting out is a real challenge, but I'm glad I made the effort. I wanted to treat my kind driver who has been helping me these past two months. I chose a seat at the end to stay out of the way and keep a low profile, as I need to prop my right knee up due to the pain--something I find a bit embarrassing. Despite being in the middle of a shift change, Abby came over, introduced herself, and made sure I was comfortable. She made eye contact, reassured me she'd take care of me, and asked if she could get me anything right away. It had been months since my last visit. I usually stop in for a quick lunch, and Gus R. always delivers excellent, efficient service--even remembering my name despite 6-8 week gaps between visits, often for takeout. Thanks to the outstanding service from Abby H., Shakerra B., and Rakiya S., my weekend was made even better. I enjoyed delicious leftovers from my bang-bang shrimp appetizer and my bacon cheeseburger, cooked perfectly to medium. The bottom line: the team reflects the strength of their management. Our server was excellent, she had really good info and sales ability. I regret not having her name. We were with a local friend who'd not been there. He had the Parmesan chicken which is reportedly a favorite. We went for ribs since 2 previous visits at other Longhorns in other states were out of ribs last 2 visits. They had ribs, we know they cook them for hours and these were good as usual. I order carry out today from Longh Steakhouse in Gliwood, MS. I ordered the NY Strip(Medium), Loaded Baked Potato, & Salad. My husband had the Ribeye(Medium Rare), Loaded Baked Potato, & Asparagus. Both steaks were well done, the potatoes were burnt, & hard as they were extremely overcooked. The only thing good on my plate was the salad. It's sad that people pay their hard earned money for a decent meal only to receive something that was barely edible. Longhorn in Floowood is just not what it used to be. My service was excellent however the food was underwhelming. I'm a Longhorn fan so I was disappointed when my caesar salad was overdressed and the lobster tail was just ok. The service was extremely slow. It took about 15 minutes to get our drinks. The salads were a while coming. The first steak order came at least 5 minutes before anyone else's order arrived. The steaks were very overcooked and the roasted corn was so cold I decided to bring it home to cook tomorrow. It would have taken too long to return it (that's why the steaks were not returned). The members of this eatablishment are unwilling to work with larger parties. If you are going to be part of a group of more than 6, I'd highly suggest going somewhere else. They have 3 large areas for seating more than 6 but when asked to sit there rather than being forced into 2 different areas they say that the area is "closed" because they don't have a server for the area. Keep in mind these larger tables right next to tables that are already being used from where we are sitting and we are using 1 server for our 2 tables of 9 people total. You can probably see how this logically doesn't make sense and they could have easily adapted to this situation. Instead we basically couldn't talk to the other table without yelling across the area, so this birthday was pretty bad. All in all, the server is pretty great and food is half way decent if the Outback Steakhouse down the street is too packed. read more
