The food is great and they give you ample portions but the environment is tense, hot, and the wait is long. You cant tell how long it will take by counting the customers waiting because several customers may have ordered several plates. In other words many come to this grille and order for very large groups. You will wait for every single plate to be prepared before you can order. None of the employees are what I would describe as 'friendly'. No one smiles and some days they are gruff and hostile. Including the owner. Customers stand around in the heat for very, very long waits and they eye each other warily. As if waiting on something to jump off. It's super weird. They give everyone uncomfortable glances and everyone stands in silence. There is NO RESTROOM. The door to the gas station is closed and the air on the inside is stale and as mentioned above super hot. Popular dishes. The rib plate is delicious. The ribs are juicy and very tender. The owner apparently is a Grille master. However the ribs are super sweet. The bake beans are delicious but they are candy sweet as well. The chicken is very good but the pieces are super large. As if they come from birds taking hormones. I've never seen wings and drumsticks as big as the ones they serve. They have to come from birds pumped with hormones I believe. The burger was good. Everything is made to order besides the porkchops, sausage and wings. In final I "may" return. I have no problem with the food but the atmosphere and quality of customer service is not good. read more

The ribs are oh so tender and seasoned well..BBQ sauce just adds to the deliciousness...the baked beans are so yummy and have crumbles of ground beef to flavor the beans...the potato salad really rounds out the meal Well worth the hour and half standing in the heat in line to try the ribs for the first time. Tried this since I'm on the lookout for ribs. Food: the ribs were excellent! Brown sugar and spices generously applied for dry rub, meat moist and perfect texture. BBQ sauce offered, get it on the side. As I always say "good ribs don't need a sauce". Great smoked flavor too! Service: efficient as they could be. Open noon til 5, closed Sunday. Be prepared to wait in line for 30-45 mins as we did and the line stayed long. Ambiance: zero. It's a counter (small) in an old gas station (Valero). But that's not why you stop here. It's the ribs. Quick, friendly service, food was quite good, had meat loaf, bourbon Mac n cheese, green beans, and bourbon pecan pie for dessert.

Got here at 11:24, good thing we did. By noon when they start serving the line was 50 people long. And I now know why....the ribs were top shelf - could take on any BBQ I have had in Texas or in the South and most likely win. And the baked beans and potato salad were divine. Even the fries had a smokey taste - yum. I have never ever had gas station food, but after driving by this place many times and seeing those smokers I just had to stop and try it. Call it dumb luck, but I hope these folks never go out of business and with food like this, they won't. Next time we will try the burger, fried chicken, and sausage. All looked so good. (Note- go early and don't be in a hurry, it's worth the wait. Take out only, no booths. Park over in mall parking, not in gas station area.) read more

Batman said this is a meal fit for a super hero This is the philly cheesesteak. The meat is seasoned perfectly. The bread was toasted nicely. But the FLAVOR was soooo good. I've had them all over the area. This one ranks with Fat Alberts without question. The fries were hot and seasoned perfectly. Y'all know how I am about seasoning, hence this is why I always order extra seasoning. But I didn't even need to do all that with this place. The service was quick and great. Jefferson's has some of the best BBQ in the south. It's always worth the wait. & everything they serve is DELICIOUS.

Food is Delicious the Ribs, the Pork steak, even the side are banging. But I highly recommend getting there early but he sell out.

I went to Jefferson's Grill(located in Valero Service Station) on Old Canton today for the first time and got a burger and fries. My wife and I heard how great the ribs were so ordered a half rack to see what all the craze was all about.... WOW. The burger was incredible and the ribs were the best I've ever tasted. I highly recommend the burgers and ribs to anyone that enjoys juicy smashed burgers and tender pork ribs. Can't wait to go back! Great job Jefferson! read more

I tried it for the first time yesterday afternoon and it was so good. The ribs were flavorful and omg the baked beans were so good. I use to be iffy about getting food from a gas station, but this place is really good. I will definitely be back. read more
