We stopped by LongHorn Steakhouse in Burleson after attending a funeral, and while there were some highlights, our overall experience was a bit mixed. Parking is easy, with spots available both in front and behind the building. Upon arrival, we checked in with the host and were seated quickly. The restaurant has an upscale country vibe, which makes for a nice dining atmosphere. We started with the Wild West Shrimp and Brisket Queso appetizers. The shrimp had a flavorful peppery batter that paired well with the ranch, and the brisket queso was delicious, with fresh, crispy chips. The portion sizes were generous--one appetizer is plenty. For entrées, I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak with country-style white pepper gravy, mashed potatoes, and fried okra. Unfortunately, the chicken fried steak was overcooked, lacking flavor, and disappointing. My wife had the Renegade Sirloin, which had good flavor but was also overcooked (closer to medium well than what was ordered). While the appetizers were great, the entrées fell short. My wife, daughter and I just so happened to be driving by and saw the newly opened Longhorn Steak House. We were excited because Burleson is in serious need of fresh and brand new places! If I had known that It was country cowboy ranch themed i would have worn my lucky Texas size belt buckle and six shooters on my hips, just so I could fit in better lol Longhorn Steak House has a very nice selection of steaks, Lobster and shrimp so it took me ages to decide. Our waiter gave me his top 2 that he recommend to me, so that was SUPER helpful to me. I settled on The OutLaw Ribeye and the loaded baked potato. When Ribeye came out was WAYYYY bigger than I thought it would be! So that added to the overall excitement. Been to quite a few places that the steak is super tiny or thin. I ordered medium rare and it came out perfectly cooked and beautiful marbling. It was so delicious I barely touched my huge baked potato with all the fixings. The meal also came with salad and bread and butter. So much food we had leftovers for the next day. I would definitely go back. Good food, quality steaks and great service. Our total with drinks and food was around $70 which I felt was very reasonable. One super cool thing to note was they had a photo of Bill Pickett a very famous black cowboy and rodeo performer he was also called "The Dusky Demon". Stumbled upon this place on a Friday night, we arrived at 9:45pm (they close at 11). They do have a bar but we decided not to sit there. After we were sat we ordered the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer and the dragon fruit marg! The mushrooms were AMAZING. The drink didn't taste that strong but it was fairly priced. You get about 2ish drinks for like $12. For my meal I got flo's filet (9oz), tried to order the lobster tail but they ran out, so I got the shrimp instead. I also got a Caesar salad and a loaded baked potato with it. The salad was quite large and came out before everything else. The potato was really good and the butter on the side made it even better. The steak was cooked perfectly but my only complaint was taste. It wasn't the tastiest steak I've had, it was just okay. The shrimp was nice and grilled and the rice was seasoned well. All the sides were a hit for me. My boyfriend got the 20oz ribeye. Ribeye was also cooked pretty good (again not the best but not the worst) and he got mac and cheese as his side as well as a Caesar salad. We also got two dressed tequila shots and our total was a little under $150. To us this place was fairly priced and the waitress was VERY sweet and cool. She was so helpful and attentive even though it was pretty busy. This wouldn't be my first option for a steakhouse but it wasn't terrible. Well, we just left the steakhouse. I am a visitor. It reminded me of black Angus back in California. We sat there for a few minutes because they were busy. The server did come by to let us know that he was busy brought us. Our drinks. He took a while with bread plates, cause they were not ready, as well as the bread , we placed our order at the same time and the meal came out cold on top of it. My son-in-law wanted wings to start off. They were out of them he then ordered his steak with macaroni and cheese and a salad and then the server had to come back again and tell us he was out of mac & cheese. I try to be an honest and fair person, with that being said, I also believe in stating what I believe is the truth in my experiences. Me and my wife went to Longhorn steakhouse because Texas roadhouse didn't open up till 4 PM, so we thought we'd try Longhorn. We got there white was not too long had a booth. Was it very loud nice atmosphere nice setting all that deserves 2 to 3 stars, but I'm torn to only give one star for the fact that I ordered chicken fried steak, and it came out overcooked very much, so so it was sent back Got the chicken fried chicken like my wife did it was cooked good but it was also overcooked, made a statement to the waitress. She said she'd go to the manager and he'd be over shortly, he never showed up, she took care of the meal. I tipped her decently with all that being said the food as far as the fried chicken was way too salty from being fried or something I don't know, but it was way too salty tasting, the salad and the steamed asparagus was great. But when it comes to price for the size or portion of a meal of an item that's where they fall through in my book drastically my meal was just under $60 before the tip. I paid it with no problem but when you get a meal that any particular item is not much bigger than a $ 1 dollar bill as far as a portion size, that's why I have a problem with a meal. The preparation looked nice as far as presenting on the plate, but after that, everything fell short, even the margarita for the price that it was was in the one of the smallest glasses I've ever seen basically like an old Tom Collins glass. But this is their business and that's fine,and if that's how they do their business, that's fine also but that does not mean that I will ever return there, nor will most of my friends or family was very thoroughly disappointed. I will go down to Logan's from now on or wait for Texas roadhouse to open up in late evenings. Like I said atmosphere and all of that was great but the meal just crashed and burned, Also, saying, for military veterans, they do have a military discount, which is good, I don't have anything else to say nothing so there's nothing else I'm going to say about this try at your own choice and your own risk make your own opinion. I had never been to a LongHorn and was gifted a gift card. Times have been tough lately and I decided to grab a bite to eat by myself on a really busy Friday night. I don't remember my servers name, I think it started with a T but she was young and so sweet and helpful. My wife and I decided to give LongHorn Steakhouse in Burleson. We were parked in front rather early for dinner. It was about 4:30 on Friday but we were waiting until closer to 5:00. I watched three different parties enter in rapid succession. I suggested we go ahead and get inside and get seated. Wow. What a nice restaurant. Nice cool entry with a very friendly ambience. We were seated quickly. First impressions are important to me. I was impressed by how clean everything was. The table had a glasslike poly finish that was sparkling clean. Seat was nicely padded and very comfortable. We were quickly greeted by Faith H., our server. She dutifully gave us a quick tour of the menu. Like all restaurants, she offered us appetizers, but she wasn't pushy or over selling. She answered a couple of questions about how the steaks are seasoned and finished. She took our drink order and disappeared. I can't remember when the bread and butter appeared but the whole grain bread is magnificent. I could not believe how good it was. It is slightly sweet with seeds that I believe are millet. So good. I ate two hunks, which was foolish because I ordered a 10 ounce strip steak, baked potato and fried okra. My wife had a baked potato and green salad. After a reasonable wait, we got our food. We were surprised because it was delivered by Vickie, one of the managers. We knew she worked at this restaurant but didn't know we would see her. We met her several years ago when she was in a management position at an upscale Mexican restaurant in far north Fort Worth. It was nice seeing an old friend. Faith, the server did an excellent job serving us. She has a very quick wit and is top notch. Everything was prepared and delivered to the table without any short comings. I drink a lot of tea, but never had to worry that my glass would get empty. Additionally, every glass had a reasonable amount of ice. Many servers bring tea with either nearly no ice or a glass of ice with only two ounces of tea. This lady was on her game. Perfect service. Oh. The food. Beautiful, fluffy baked potato with salted skin, which I love. There are several places we eat where the "baked" potatos taste like they are cooked in a steam oven. It was such a treat to have a fresh, hot flaky baked potato. Seems like a little thing, but it was so special. I had forgotten how good a properly cooked baked potato was. I got the fried okra, which is cut lengthwise and lightly breaded. Really fresh texture and wonderful taste with just a hint of salt. Very good. The strip steak was lightly seasoned, had a lemon butter sauce to finish. I could be wrong. The point is, the seasoning did not hijack the flavor of the steak. A very good piece of meat, properly seasoned and cooked perfectly. It was about a 35 mile drive for us, but we wanted to try Longhorn Steakhouse. It was worth the drive for the ambience, service and food. It was possibly the best meal we have had this year. I know this will be on our rotation to have again. Soon. A group of us came in and 4/5 of the steaks ordered were extremely overcooked. I personally ordered a med-rare fillet, and when i got my steak it was brown completely through and looked well done. When asked for a discount because of how awfully cooked the steaks were, the manager Ryan proceeded to demean us, ignore us, and belittle our complaints. His attitude in handling the situation was extremely poor and child-like, I even heard him screaming in the kitchen after he stormed off from talking to us. The other customers that were near us could not believe how the manager was treating us and also complained about the manger, Ryan.
