Takeout for dinner. Text to pickup was at least 30 min earlier than pickup ready. Quirky website for online ordering. My dear wife wanted a burger and onion rings and our usual place closed, so we decided on Longhorn. Rings are called onion petals and were way too salty, so were the french fries. Burger was requested at medium and she received a rare cook. I had chicken medallions with some lemon sauce, but the medallions were about the size of a half dollar and the entree had four little chicken pieces. Rice pilaf was only item not salty and a caesar salad. I know costs are up due to fuel costs, but the meal was just so-so. Blame it on the Administration for the high costs of food. Will go back to our original place next time. read more

"Steaks Done Right" only works when you actually listen to how your customers order them. My steak was extremely salty, and despite ordering it medium well because I don't like any red in my meat, it arrived rare. A steak done right is a steak cooked the way the customer requested. When I called to complain, my options were to drive back to the restaurant or wait for an email that never arrived. Thanks for ruining my dinner. read more

Stopped in for lunch with a friend I haven't seen in far too long. The dining room is nicely decorated, clean, with booths and tables for a few or a group. A host/ess will seat you. Our waitress was excellent. Friendly, attentive and capable. She kept a close eye on us and let us just sit and chat for hours. We both ordered salads and a steak. The salads were very fresh with lots of toppings and come pre-dressed. The steak was tender and cooked as ordered. Restrooms are in the back corner (left side) behind the dining area. Parking is shared with other businesses in the shopping plaza. Handicapped spots in front, but those doors are heavy. read more

Stop in or do a takeout order which they will bring out to your car! Longhorn is consistently good quality food especially considering it's a chain restaurant. Start out with the parmesan crusted spinach dip, the spicy chicken bites, or the firecracker chicken wraps and you won't be sorry. For mains we love any steak option which are all seasoned to perfection, the redrock grilled shrimp or the parmesan crusted chicken. Finish off the experience with the chocolate stampede which is massive and great for sharing! read more

Casual dining chain restaurants have not been my thing for a long time, but while visiting my dad over Father's day weekend, when he and his neighbors wanted to go get dinner at Longhorn, my hands were tied. We were seated quickly (mainly because we got there at 4:45, lol), and the waitress quickly came by with to take drink orders. The menu was exactly as expected and probably the same as every other location, along with the tacky western decor. I ordered the LongHorn steak tips with mac and cheese and a loaded baked potato. The food was brought out quickly (again, probably because we were there so early). The steak was ok, but drowning in a very sodium rich sauce. The baked potato was as expected, but the mac and cheese was shockingly delicious...rich and creamy...but probably best served in moderation. All together, it was a decent meal, the waitress was attentive and kept our drinks refilled, but again, casual dining chains are just not my go to, they seem to lack flavor, I definitely prefer more unique dishes and local flavor. I understand some like the consistency of chains and being able to get the same meal, and quality from location, and that's fine...just not my thing. read more

Stopped by LongHorn Steakhouse for a bite and some drinks. Gotta say, the food didn't exactly knock my boots off, but it did the job. I still found myself going back for more. The real winner of the night though? The drinks. Cold, refreshing and hit the spot perfectly. I even had a ginger ale that tasted so good, I had to wonder if they snuck in the fancy kind, definitely not your basic soda fountain situation . Overall, solid spot to unwind, grab a decent meal and enjoy some great drinks. I'd swing back, especially for the drinks. Ambiance was pretty nice. read more

We go to Longhorn often , and really enjoy the quality, value & service they offer. We have tried many of their menu items , and find the food to be consistently prepared to the degree of doneness we ordered. The only fish on the menu is salmon, and we wish they would add a white fish ,like cod, haddock or swordfish. They have maintained their reasonable prices , without sacrificing quality . read more

It's very particular to the customer. If you don't like a rodeo-style loud restaurant with animal parts on the wall, then this isn't the place for you. The food selection is not amazing, but the service is good. It is always hot and sticky, and did I mention LOUD? It is ridiculous- you can barely hear yourself think. But if you live a cowboy cowgirl life, or just love a good steak , than this is the place for you. I wouldn't recommend this for a family or friends who want to catch up. read more

Service is less than spectacular. First, seating us next to the bathroom really good for the digestion. After the toilet table we were really impressed by the booth next to the kitchen door and so we will see if the food makes up for the ambiance. And then, much to my surprise we were put in a quieter area with more bread and salad than we could ever eat. Omg. What happened? These waitresses are like some strange ninja slash aliens. They pounced like a wolf pack, and did a very amazing job. What started as a big giant question mark ended up being a quite amazing dinner. Come here and try this. Omg. Haven't ordered from them in a while but like their BBq Ribs. I always get curbside. The last time I ordered half the food was hot and the other half was luke warm. This time the fries and ribs were both room temperature. They still tasted delicious but it would have been better had they been at least warm. When I pulled into a curbside slot i noticed 3 other cars already waiting. I let them know I was there and what # parking I was at. After 5 minutes or so I am looking around and NONE of the other 3 cars are getting their orders. This was concerning because i was the last one there. Then after about 10 minutes a server came out with ALL the orders. So when my order was room temp i knew they were just holding all of them up to deliver all at once. Usually I have a really good experience at Longhorn steakhouse. Unfortunately when we went to this one in particular, we were not pleased it was not busy whatsoever yet it took us a while to get menus etc. then get back and get orders. Actually I think it's because they might've been short staffed the bartender was also waiting tables and taking takeout orders. It might help flow better if she was only being a bartender. She did have a nice disposition and she was somewhat friendly but I think I would pick a different time than 3:30 in the afternoon to go out and have a late lunch early dinner then we ordered bacon on my husband's medium cheeseburger. We did not get it. It was also very dry. I was something else special on my food. I didn't get it. I ended up having to get a discount on the bill because things are to be taken off because the kitchen made a mistake. Then it seem like most the time is it just kind of ignored even though we were like right there in the bar area I probably will be a while before going back again to see if they hire more staff. My first ever Yelp review...Yikes!! My son and I are regulars at the Longhorn in Franklin. We have never have had a bad experience until tonight. We both ordered the 12 oz. Ribeye, as usual, but tonight it was suspect. The moment our waitress, who was great btw, put down our meal it looked different.... It looked bad. I asked my son how it was and he said, " It is tough and flavorless". After I tried my steak, which was in accordance with my son's assessment, I called our waitress over. I explained our concerns, and was looking for a reasonable alternative. I didn't want to waste our time waiting for a new steak that would be effectively the same. Our waitress suggested the 20 oz. bone-in Ribeye, so we went with that. It was far better and tasted great. When our waitress came over, I explained that we were comfortable paying for the bigger steak, I am not looking for a free meal. When our waitress gave us our bill it was difficult to decipher. I really don't need to see the voided, poorly cut, tasteless, tough steaks on our bill to remind me of our negative experience. And nor, do I need to see that nothing was comped. As I stated, I am comfortable paying for the bigger steaks, but perhaps comp our steakhouse wing appetizer or perhaps the highly marked up glass of wine, to reconcile for the fact that we had to wait for two meals to be cooked. Our time should be worth something. Honestly, I have never experienced such poor customer service. It is 101 to be apologetic and to also ensure that your patrons have a satisfactory experience. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. The real disappointment is figuring out where my son and I are going to go for a good steak going forward. We have had many positive experiences in the past at Longhorn, but it's hard, after our terrible 12 oz. Ribeyes and poor treatment, to think that things will be different in the future. read more

Went to this restaurant thinking it would be average. But it exceeded my expectations. The drinks and appetizers were both very good. The scenery with the Texas theme was very cool. When one thinks of longhorn cattle, sandstone mesas, and cowboys, places like Franklin, Massachusetts come immediately to mind, don't they? In this case, it's Wild West imagery and Western grub in the Northeast. Longhorn is a chain. The steaks, fries, and salads are OK. The honey mustard dressing is surprisingly good. The portions are large. It's a filling dinner, and the filet mignons are done right. Juicy and delicious. However, service tends to be slow and/or rude, depending on who's there. It took at least a half hour to get some beer. It's an alright place, but luckily there's better. read more

My wife and I go to Outback a few times a month. We occasionally make it out to the Franklin location. The warm honey oat bread is delicious and a great start to your meal. There is a huge selection of steaks as well as sea food and chicken entrées.. We always enjoy our visits to the Franklin location. The food is always right and the staff is friendly. read more

You cannot beat this location for quality, service, and ambiance. We always order Salmon, large and small, with sweet potatoes Brussels sprouts and/or broccoli. Starter salads of fruit/ pecan and side salad are excellent. The booths are comfortable and the prices are reasonable. Probably the best bargain in the area. If I could give zero stars I would. I called for a reservation last night and was told to call today to give my information since they don't take reservations same day. They took all of my information including my name, number of adults/children and time. We show up for my elderly father in laws birthday dinner to be told we have a 45 minute wait. Not only was there nowhere for him to sit but there was no standing room. To top it if we are both veterans which is more aggravating since it's Veterans Day. They should have have just said we take NO reservations so we had no expectations. Not lead us on by taking all of our information acting as though it meant anything. They had none of my information so why would they even ask. Sorry just don't appreciate the misleading questions. Just drove 30 minutes to leave and go to a different restaurant. So disappointed. Not because we would have to wait but just say that over the phone so there were no expectations. read more

We like this location the best. It's just set up in my opinion better than some of the other longhorns. Our waitress Denise was awesome, she knew the AC was on high- and usually I bring a sweater for restaurants because I don't know how cranked up the AC will be with a summer dress, and she was very accommodating on having them take it down a few notches. Brianna (who I like a lot Bc she's sweet & probably because she's got my name so she already earns points lol) was there and we've had her numerous times so when Denise was busy she'd do the refills, get a straw etc. She's also got a super cool attitude. The food was great as usual, never have any problems when coming here. Steaks are cooked the way you want them, never have had to send one back ever at this location, their desserts are excellent but take up all of your caloric intake for the day lol, and the experience is always enjoyable. Even the manager came over and ran our check for us. It's nice to see management come out to greet the customers more and more unlike some places were managers can't even be contacted if there were problems. read more

I have been waiting to use a $50 gift card I received for quite some time since the last experience I had here was not very good. Today, we decided to drop in for lunch. After waiting 15 minutes for our waitress to come take our drink/app order we should have know this was going to be a terrible experience. We waited a while for the app to come out, which was cold when we received it. We ordered our meal, and for the next 30 minutes we waited, without the waitress and even stopping by the table for a drink refill. My wife and I decided to leave before we even got our food. I went to the hostess and gave her the $50 gift card and said they can have the card since we won't ever be returning. Terrible experience! My wife and I went to Longhorn last Sunday evening. Things were pretty busy with the holiday weekend, but this is one of the busier restaurants in Franklin. We were greeted promptly and the wait was not too long. Our waitress was personable and came promptly. Unfortunately both of my first two picks for dinner were gone, so I ordered a Ribeye and my wife got the salmon. We finished our bread and salads and were waiting a long time, when the waitress came by and let us know the kitchen was running late, and asked if we wanted some more bread or drinks. While we were waiting we noticed that there was a fair amount of junk on the carpet. At one point we watched a hostess kick at a piece of onion and failing to get it under the table. Eventually, the dinners arrived. Well at least most of them. My wife's salmon was really small and the server told us that they dropped part of when plating, but not to worry, they were cooking her another one. My wife thought the salmon tasted great. Kind of disappointed that the replacement piece did not arrive until we were all done. My Ribeye was OK and was properly cooked. On the way out we watched the hostess talking with each other intently, and completely ignoring us and the couple in front of as we left. I think they are slipping a bit in this location. Received a giftcard for the holidays, and met my girlfriend here for dinner... I will never eat at a Longhorn Steakhouse again. I used to meet at your Marlborough location with clients and never had a bad experience, but that was years ago. WHAT HAPPENED? We ordered steaks (including the most expensive steak on the menu) each of which is supposed to include "unlimited bread", a salad, and a side. We received one small piece of bread, roughly 3" by 3", never got our salads, had our waitress argue with us, and were overcharged. When ordering, my girlfriend asked to upgrade her salad from a standard to a premium - the menu suggested this could be done for $1.99 extra. When she asked the waitress, the waitress told her that she had to pick one of the standard salads. OK, whatever. When my ribeye arrived it was a bad cut; half was OK, and half was tough and gristly. Frankly I'm not sure that I got the 18oz "outlaw ribeye" that I ordered - I suspect I was served the smaller one as it had just a sliver of bone in it and was much smaller than my girlfriends 10oz steak. When I asked the waitress what happened to our salads, she told me that we had ordered two sides and wouldn't get salad. I told her that we had each ordered one side and a salad, and she told me "No, you ordered two sides". I asked to clarify - did she mean that we each ordered one side, for a total of two? Again she told me I was mistaken; according to her we had each ordered two sides and that's why we didn't get any salad. She told me we hadn't ordered any salad. WHAT? I'm not a moron, lady. I got a potato, she got a sweet potato. Show me the other two sides! I think I'd remember eating them, whatever they were. My girlfriend is a saint; truly. She told me to let it go, not to argue, and that's what I did. I didn't even raise my voice. She even made a point to make me leave a 15% tip when frankly I wasn't going to leave a thing. If it weren't for her I would probably still be there talking to the manager. The last straw was the waitress when she took our check. As if rudely arguing with a customer about what they ordered wasn't enough... She asked if we needed change, we told her no, there was a giftcard and cash, and she raised her eyebrow and said "Well, let me double check that..." - Gee, wouldn't want to get shorted, huh? She came back after checking the giftcard, to 'let us' leave. I have never been so insulted at a restaurant in my life. This waitress was a terror - truly. Arguing that a customer got things they never received, delivering the wrong food, telling them you want to "double check" to be sure they paid enough? My girlfriend and I were nothing but polite through the entire experience, even when essentially being called a liar when the waitress screwed up our order. Pathetic. This is why I'll stick with Texas Roadhouse. The steak is better quality for 1/3 the price, and the staff aren't lunatics. $75 down the toilet. read more

I have been to this particular Longhorn perhaps 20 times over the years. Longhorn provide surprisingly good steak that is very well priced. 5-6 years ago we noticed an issue with their cooks not getting the steaks right - asking for med rare and it coming very underdone (purple/raw) and another time over done (grey) (no thanks)! Over the last few years their cooks have done a good job at getting it right! Good value - we went last night and both our steaks were perfectly cooked and tasty (wife had filet and my ribeye). Broccoli was undercooked but not a big deal. One small knock- we ordered as soon as we got there as we only had an hour or so, and it took 35+ mins or so get our meal. Adam was our server was very good - he checked on us a couple times for us and apologized for the slower than ideal service. That matters. He provided great service and was very friendly. When you look at steak houses and how expensive some can cost, Longhorn gives a very good value. read more

Went here last night and had a surprisingly great meal. My boyfriend and I got the Texas tunion to start and then I had the portobello mushroom chicken and my boyfriend had steak. Everything was very tasty and much better than when I have been her previously! One thing that was a let down was that we really wanted to try the Oktoberfest pretzel sticks but they were all out :( We had awesome drinks too - jack and honey blackberry lemonades (delicious but very sweet) and watermelon margaritas (larger than before and not served in marg glass but I actually got more this way). For dessert I noticed that the fried cheesecake is no longer on the menu but the waitress (who was really nice and attentive) let us know that depending on who is working the kitchen that they can usually make it up. Awesome!! So, sure enough they made this dessert up for us :) We will be back after this great experience, thanks longhorn! read more
