Outlaw Ribeye with Crispy Brussels Sprouts

Was in Maryland and looking for a quick dinner and decided to try another chain steakhouse. Some people have said this was better than Texas Roadhouse so I came to see if they were right. Started off with some salad and wings which were both pretty standard as far as chain restaurants go. Their steak was definitely their strong suite - tender beef with a good fat ratio. Not the best steak I've had, but for a chain restaurant it is solid. My only complaint was this specific location had no bread and had very slow service. Came here for lunch and I can't remember the last time I've been to LongHorn restaurant. Our server was really friendly, greeted us right away. We did have to wait a little longer for our food but our waiter kept us informed and brought out the bread and drinks. When we received our food, it was delicious. Pleasantly surprised! The food was well seasoned and we didn't leave anything but crumbs when we left.

Server was awesome and the steaks were cooked perfectly. We ordered them medium and medium well. My margarita needed a shot, for my taste. Love ordered an old fashion and he said it was strong. He liked it though. Wasn't too busy in there. We stopped by on a Friday after work, around 5:30. Will definitely be back.

This Longhorn steakhouse is not too far from my home. I lived in the area for over three years and this is the first time that I visited. There is ample parking outside. The establishment is clean and the staff is friendly. We stopped in for dinner around 6 PM. We ordered the lobster combo with sides. We tried the broccoli, garden salad, baked sweet potato, and I had a glass of wine. All the items were made to order and delicious. I also ended up ordering the wild fried shrimp appetizer, which was also delicious. The service was a little bit slow, which is unusual because the establishment was not full. However, I still give it four stars and I will return.

My husband and I were in town for the Commanders game a few months ago. This spot is one of our go to places for dinner since it's only minutes from the hotel we typically occupy during game day weekends. This time we dined at the bar after waiting to be seated for 25 minutes. On this Saturday night, the place was packed and we had time to wait for seating. While keeping our eye out for bar seating as well, two bar seats became available while waiting for a table in the main area. Come to think about it, the seating isn't plentiful like back home (757) so all LongHorn's are not created equal. Nevertheless, it was worth the wait and we love the service and quality this restaurant provides. The service is always on point and I always order the same thing and they have not steered me wrong - knock on wood. I am a salmon girl and blackened it please. The cocktail, old fashioned is my go to - very good. I will get a glass of red wine from time to time, but LongHorn just gets it right and if they don't they try to get it right. This time my husband tried something different and he was pleased too. Plenty of parking, but do pack your patience because this place fills up fast. Have fun and enjoy life :)

I love how fresh the ingredients are on the salad and the ranch is always the best.

This is one of my favorite spots in the area. The salmon with a bourbon glaze is top tier and the size are always very complimentary. Also the honey butter brussel sprouts are literally five star!! My only issue is when you sit at the bar, if they're really busy it takes some time for them to get to you. But we had to wait about 10 minutes to have somebody acknowledge us which was not cool and I had to speak up in order to get them to acknowledge us. Still the great experience nonetheless.

During football season, I visited this Longhorns location after watching my Washington Commanders put the Tennessee Titans in their place. Tired as all get out, we ended up at Longhorns and sat at the bar to avoid waiting. The waiter wasn't a talker and he didn't have much personality, but he was polite, quick, and got our orders right. That's all I really ever hope for. The salad was bomb per usual. If you're a blue cheese lover like me, they never miss! I opted for a side of broccoli with my renegade steak while my husband ordered double potatoes with his ginormous steak. Pretty sure he lost 5 pounds while eating his food and I gained 3 just looking at mine...ugh. Anyhow, it was a great experience. Busy atmosphere, good music, delicious food and drinks. Perfect ending to a perfect day.

Great hostess. Her name was Rebecca. I along with 12 others had a lunch there. She was a little overwhelmed but she did a surprisingly great job.

Bad customer service all around. I didn't expect much from this location to begin with due to its location, and just as expected, I was right! I have never had a server give out plastic utensils like the ones you see in the images to customers. Let alone in a so called steak house. To add more: we had go ask for utensils.

Food was so salty I could barely eat it. Our table wasn't even clean when we sat down, which was kind of gross. The only good thing about the visit was our waitress -- she was super nice and really tried to make things better. Wish the rest of the experience matched her effort.

    Extremely unsanitary.

But now I seem to find it conveniently on 19th whenever I'm walking over there! Right now they're there on Mondays and Thursdays -- I recall searching for them on other days, but I didn't see them at the locations their website said they would be. But since it's been consistently coming to 19th Street, I have had the opportunity to have it twice, and I had the JerkBowl each time. The chicken comes off the bone so easily, and it is indeed JERKED! It's got a great taste, and the yellow rice it comes with compliments it very well. I will be trying their mac and cheese and greens in the near future, hopefully. I hope that they continue to get great business because this is food that should not be ignored! They seem to also actively become familiar with their regulars and they're super polite.

Located at 6120 Marlboro Pike., District Heights M.D. nestled between a tattoo parlor, and a couple other stores you'll find @luvplatesgrill with their beautifully designed black & orange signage!! This spot is momentarily take out only, they accept cash, and credit/debit, and they also have catering available. Their menu is concise, simple, and effective. They have sizable bowls like their DC Gumbo (with turkey sausage, and hormone free chicken $15), and their Homestyle Jerk Chicken (24 hour marinated wings smothered over red beans & rice $15). They also have some signature sandwiches like their "Jimmy Blue"(Maryland lump crab cake $20), and their "Fall off the Bone"(24 hour LuvRub-Ribs-w/BBQ sweet sauce $10). The sides include their World Famous Mac n Cheese (pictured-$8 reg. size), "Mamas Greens"(pictured-$8 reg. size), and their flavorful Red beans & Rice ($4 reg. size). On this trip I copped their Mac n Cheese, a Homestyle Jerk chicken sandwich (pictured-$6 on potato bread), and their 3 for $20 deal where I chose the Pan-seared Salmon ($3 extra), Mamas greens, and the 24 hr. Jerk chicken with the Red beans, and rice. So I started by dipping into the greens...FRESH, and seasoned to perfection!! I then took a bite out of the jerk chicken sandwich...I didn't want to stop!! It was glistening with flavor, a hint of bbq mixed with the jerk made for a tasty sandwich. Then I put a fork to the jerk wings, and watched the meat fall off the bone right into the red beans and rice. Spiced right, savory...it hit the spot. So I'm not a huge Salmon fan, but their pan seared fish with peppers, jerk sauce with a hint of bbq...made me a bigger fan!! Deliciousness!! Lastly I tackled that Mac n Cheese...I was leery via the price, and the "World Famous" title. When you go...GET IT...it's worth it. Customer service was phenomenal, they patiently explained their meals, and spotlighted the freshness of their food (which you can definitely taste). Parking is tricky, it's a very small lot they share. GO!! TRUST!! That's it.

I was invited here for dinner with a high school friend who had been here before, and I text him appreciating the NEXT DAY, to say how good this place was. When you come in, you pass the bar and I'm sure someone has already greeted you by then. The customer service here was great! Throughout our entire hour.5 stay at EllaRay's, my table of 2 was probably asked at least 5 times if we needed anything - in the best way too, not the inconvenience type. The food is served hot-bar style, with someone there to present to you whatever you want. I ordered the smothered turkey, mac&chz, and cabbage, along with some red velvet cake and a mixed lemonade-tea mix that was sweeeeeet! The food itself was DELICIOUS. The smothered turkey was exactly that - see the picture of the portions too. The mac&chz was also that, cheesy, and the cabbage had a great spice to it, that I enjoyed! My friend ordered the yams, string beans and catfish - and from what he let me try (I was only interested in trying the catfish), I loved it! I think it would be something that I'd order as my side next time. For desert, I had the cake the following day and loved the fact that the icing was homemade - not heavy or thick. Now the only thing that I haven't noted was the service. Was the staff attentive and great with their recommendations, yes - but their line was just so long. Maybe I came during a rush but to get all of the delicious food offered, it did take a little longer than expected. Other that that, I loved this place! Pack your patience, and appetite!

Coming back to MD for work however means I get to Uber eats on the company dime. No, I don't want McDonalds or Chipotle. Oh, look! Carolina Kitchen! My favorite item to get at any southern/soul food restaurant is always smothered pork chops with greens and mac and cheese. I was a little surprised at how expensive the plate was here but after ONE bite of the mac and cheese, I realized that it was well worth it. Best mac and cheese I've had. First, when my delivery driver dropped off my plate I was thinking to myself, Dang, this is heavy! I only ordered one plate but it felt like 2lbs of food. When I opened the container I was pleasantly surprised that it was packed! Two pork chops (sauce on side, thank you), huge servings of mac and cheese and greens and a cornbread. All fantastic. I can't speak on the other items, but I know what I ordered was straight fire. Staff was nice and helpful but couldn't explain why there were no menus, nameplates for the items, or prices listed anywhere. The line was so long because the staff has to answer the same questions over and over. A simple sign would help expedite things. I got the BBQ chicken, greens, and Mac and cheese. Everything was good but MUCH sweeter than you'd make at home. Sugar in the chicken. Sugar in the greens. Mac didn't have sugar but it was so thick and rich that you really can't finish it. Sweet tea was great, that had an appropriate amount of sugar for a southern-style tea, but I personally could still stand to have 25% less sugar in that. The price was about $25 for my food and drink which was okay, but I think if you're coming as a couple or family with kids, the smart way to order cheaply would be to get 1-3 small $7 sides, and then order the meats separately and split it with your people. Bring your own water. You'd probably spend $40 to feed 4 people that way instead of $100 for 4 plates. The sides are so rich that you may eat 10 bites before getting full, but the amount of meat you get is not enough for the sides. I ate all the chicken but I didn't make a dent in the sides on my plate, two other people could've eaten my left overs and been more than full.
