My husband and I went to Longhorn Steakhouse in Norman OK May 15, 2026, for our anniversary. We both had the filet mignon. He had mac & cheese; I had the brussels sprouts. Both steaks were cooked well but mine had too much pepper which left my mouth burning for a while. He enjoyed his mac & cheese. My brussels sprouts were very tasty but the root end was left on it making it hard to eat. I had to cut the end off to eat them and even then they were tough. I did, however, like the honey butter on them. We may eat here again but I will not have the brussels sprouts again. read more

The steak lacked seasoning, but was perfectly cooked (4). We did not care for the shrimp - it was coated in a weird sauce which made the skewers very soft and unpleasing (1). The Brussels sprouts were very oily - we couldn't eat them (1), but my son said the sweet potato was the best he has ever had (5). The Steakhouse Mac n cheese was the surprise star - 5 out of 5. Our server Maddison M is what I think every server in the world should try to be like! She demonstrated patience and kindness to a whole new level. Came here last night for my nieces 21st birthday. We had a party of 11 so I expected a bit of a wait due to them not taking reservations. After 45 minutes we were seated. The restaurant itself was nice. The smell of seafood punches you in the face as you walk in. This place is pretty dark so if you have difficulty seeing, you'll probably have an issues reading anything. We were greated by 2 servers. The took our drink order, I ordered a water, my wife ordered sweet it. The table got there drink and one of the servers informed my wife that they were making a "fresh" batch of tea and it would be out shortly. 20 minutes haf passed when the table got appetizers and salads. Wife still has nothing to drink. I asked the older server that my wife had a sweet tea that she never got. She apologized and left the table. The salads were good. I got the strawberry salad and my wife got a Cesar salad. Unfortunately, her tea showed up 20 minutes later and it was unsweetened. My wife didn't ask them to fix it because of how long it took. For the tables appetizers, everything was insanely salty and not edible in my opinion but the table was starving so they ate what that could. One side of the table got there main course. 20 minutes later the rest of the tables go there food. My wife and I both ordered the parmesan custed chicken. First bite, nothing but salt. I thought maybe it was the cheese, so I took the cheese off and took another bite, all salt. My wife's was the same. But she didn't complain as she was starving. When the younger server came by to ask how everything was. I told her that everyone's food was over salted. She said "I know." I was asked if I wanted something else or them to remaking I declined politely and was asked if I wanted a free dessert. I asked for it to go. When the manager came by to bring food, I explained to him that everything was over salted and my wife and said her fries were too salty. The manager apologized, asked me if I wanted them to remake the food. I declined and explains it took them 45 minutes to get our food, by the time I would have gotten the remade meal, we would be leaving. He did bring my wife a fresh batch of fries. The manager told use that the seasoning was getting how and all of the salt must of settled to the bottom. I ate some of my wife's fries. Some where good, other too much salt. We left close to 9 as it took a while for the servers to get the checks to everyone and make sure people where charged for the correct items. My nieces aunt complained about her tongue hurting and my wife explained it was due to eating too much salt. My over all experience was not great. I appreciate the manager comping my meal. My advice is towhomever runs the kitchen needs to make sure food is good out delicious, not over seasoned. Also the company should look into taking reservations for large groups to make sure they are staffed to handled it. read more

I have been to multiple Longhorn steakhouses in the past. We family and I stopped by the Oklahoma location on the way back to Texas. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, and they accommodated my 6'4 husband by allowing us to sit at a table instead of a booth. Our waitress was nice and came to check on us often. I ordered a pecan and strawberry side salad that was huge before my entree. It was so big I could only eat half so I made sure I had room for my meal. The waitress was nice enough to bring me a box before my entree came out because she saw I had stopped eating it. Then I ordered my entree of salmon and crispy brussel sprouts. They have two size options 7 and 10 ounces. My salmon was cooked perfectly, and I liked the glaze on my salmon and brussel sprouts. I also chose to get their strawberry shortcake cake, and it was tasty and a nice portion size. They also gave it to me to go and brought me plastic silverware so I could eat it in the car. My husband got a burger, and my kid got chicken tenders. We all enjoyed our meals. The only reason I gave it a 4 was because my husband wasn't crazy about how large the toppings that went on the burger were. He thought the tomato was sliced too large, the onion and pickles were overpowering, and as a pescatarian, I wish they had another option besides salmon. Would I go back again, definitely, especially if I want some good salmon. read more

Ok, Longhorn - you win! Not every visit I have made to Longhorn would earn 5 or even 4 stars from me, but for this particular visit... 5 stars and a standing ovation! We visited this location this past Friday night, so it was pretty busy which always makes me apprehensive of what kind of service I might get, but I have no complaints! I've had some really bad service at this location even when not busy at all, so this was a happy surprise. Our server was polite and attentive. That being said, what really stood out about this visit was the FOOD. Wow! I have paid a lot more money for a much less enjoyable steak. I'm always really torn about how to order steak at a chain like this, because it never seems to come out correctly. I like a true medium, but often times a medium order comes out bloody (and yet a medium well order comes out well done). This time, I ordered the filet cooked medium with the crusted garlic parmesan butter on top. The steak was cooked to PERFECTION and I am still dreaming about that garlic parmesan topping days later. My husband ordered the porterhouse, which was also cooked perfectly (also medium). My sides (loaded baked potato and house salad) were also great, but to be honest the sides are always wonderful and I always love their ranch dressing. It's the steak that seems to be hit or miss, and this time it was right on target! So, way-to-go Longhorn! After a string of disappointing experiences, you've restored my faith in you. Sat in the bar area to avoid a wait, and the crowd. Right choice! Mikala did an incredible job, and kept up with the heavy load. She made everything run smoothly and in a very timely manner, without missing a beat. She was so genuinely pleasant, friendly, and accommodating, and our food was on point. Two of us came yesterday for a late lunch. The place was moderately busy. We were immediately seated. Our waitress greeted us and brought drinks. This is where things went downhill. Every stage of the meal from here on out was incredibly slow. Ordering, food arrival, dessert arrival, ticket. So slow. The food was fine but not good enough to return. My husband and I dined here last night for my birthday. I ordered a ribeye, my husband ordered a porterhouse, both medium rare. The salad, bread, baked potato and my husband's steak were great. I had sangria, he had a margarita, we both enjoyed those as well. The issue was my "ribeye". What was brought out, was not a ribeye. It was a strip steak covered in so much pepper I couldn't eat it without choking I asked my husband to taste it and when he could speak again, he agreed. I suspect what I received was their special, which is a 7 pepper strip steak. It was cooked properly, medium rare as requested, so that part was right. They took it back to the kitchen, thinking I just didn't like pepper, although I did reiterate that I ordered a ribeye. For the record, I do like pepper, but I wanted the ribeye I ordered, not a strip steak. Unfortunately, I think they just rinsed the pepper off the steak and rewarmed it. When you warm up a medium rare steak becomes a medium/well done steak. It doesn't turn in to a ribeye. The waitress and manager were very kind and did their best to help. They offered free dessert and they did give me an extra baked potato, which was a nice gesture. read more

A genuinely solid steak house. Had the sirloin cooked rare. Steak was slightly overcooked which is generally the case. The roasted brussel sprouts were very flavorful. Service was adequate...but asking how everything tastes 30 seconds after food was delivered is a bit much. The decor is classic steak house. read more

Service was horrible!! Took an hour and a half to get our food. No refills. Manager offered to discount our ticket and that didn't happen.

The worst part is they are extremely SLOW. It takes 10 minutes just to get a refill. The food is average and their prices are a bit high. The steaks aren't well seasoned and aren't high quality. The filet was NOT a filet at all and they got aggravated when I called them on it. But I was right in the end. The baked potato soup is still the best around. read more

Many folks I know believe that LongHorn Steakhouse is the best steakhouse in Norman. Not sure about that claim- irrespective my experience was very good. So much more than delicious steaks at Longhorn! The western ambiance is immediately inviting and we love the high-backed booths. This visit we got the Texas Tonions which were well-seasoned and perfectly crispy without being too greasy. They make a great Caesar salad as well as the house salad. We decided to go with grilled shrimp and chicken tenders and it was all absolutely delicious! Bree was our wonderful server and she did a great job. We took lots of great food home for another meal for each of us. The fried items reheat nicely in the oven or in an air fryer. Great place! read more

Came here with my wife yesterday evening and we were promptly greeted after a "speedy" 15 minutes of sitting while servers and managers alike walked past us like we were invisible. My wife and I have been here many times and usually enjoy our dining experience, so this was a shocking lapse in quality of service. The manager did drop by after we had finally been greeted just as we were about to walk out and gave a rather weak apology with no offer to make it right. He said that he "didn't know what happened" which is funny because I made eye contact with this man several times while I peered around the restaurant to see if we would ever get service. We stayed, we ate, the food was decent as per usual but the service was so apalling that we probably won't be​ back anytime soon. Could have at least comped an appetizer or given a coupon or done literally anything to acknowledge the ridiculous wait. This happened around 4-5pm while we were one of maybe three tables eating in the entire restaurant, so being busy was no excuse. Very disappointing. I also say all of this as a server myself who is usually exceedingly understanding when there are hiccups in food service. Actually felt like no one cared because we are a younger couple. Always great ribeye, very tender & my experience is that they are cooked the way I ordered! Prices are very reasonable for a steak joint. When we went on Mother's Day they had run out of baked potatoes. The server apologized & said we could choose any other side, including the upcharged sides at no additional cost. Meals include bread & 2 sides. The only improvement I would recommend are the salad dressings...but I am a dressing snob lol read more

What do you look for in a steakhouse? We took the family for a nice meal out at the Norman location. They have a large round table at the back which is perfect for groups. We went on a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was only half full. We started off with their version of a blooming onion appetizer which was easily shared between 6 people. I thought the horseradish based dipping sauce that came with it was a little overpowering and would have preferred ranch. The onion bites were lightly fried and crispy. Most everyone ordered a steak, I chose the 20 oz outlaw ribeye and asked for it to be cooked medium. Unfortunately, the steak ended up overdone because there was no pink middle. Some restaurants make a point to ask you to cut into your steak once it is brought out, and I wish I had thought to do so but mistakes happen. It still tasted just fine and all our steaks had a nice sear on them that is difficult to recreate at home. The steak came with a salad which seemed fresh and was a nice balance to our fried appetizer. I also picked a loaded baked potato as my side with all the classic toppings and it was fantastic. Plus, each table receives bread and butter. Our service was generally very good, unfortunately I noticed that my own water was not refilled very fast, compared to others who ordered teas and sodas. My cup was only refilled once during our meal which was annoying to deal with eating high salt content foods. Another disappointment was that since we were enjoying ourselves, we briefly discussed getting dessert but our waiter had already brought the check and so we felt rushed to leave. It was probably for the best because the rest of the meal was very filling. It's unfortunate that my steak ended up being overcooked, because I can look past other service issues due to inexperience etc, but when you are going out to specifically eat at a steakhouse, it has got to be your top priority to have your steak cooked properly. Therefore, I would rate this location 3 out of 5, because it definitely was not all bad and I probably would have given a 4 with a different server. If someone else invites you here it is fine, but I would keep looking if you're searching for the perfect steak. read more

I have never had to leave a bad review before but our server was not kind or attentive at all. Our server, Bri, seemed new, and really in need of more training. She did not acknowledge my husband and I for 20 minutes. She came to the table, did not apologize and continuously interrupted us unnecessarily. She took our drink orders, but never brought my bar order. My husband ordered broccoli with his meal and was given fries although the other side was correct. When we received the check, the bar drink was not on there so she didn't even order it for us! I have been to this location many times and every time before was amazing. I didn't ask for the manager because she came off very aggressive and intimidating. It saddens me that their new hires lack service experience and friendliness. The salad was so crisp and fresh, and the honey mustard was amazing, and then came the Outlaw Ribeye and loaded baked potato that was PERFECT! Perfectly cooked and off the charts on flavor.....best steak I've had in Norman. Then they threw in a delicious complimentary birthday surprise! Service was great and attentive, and the environment was very clean and kind of a rustic formal. Have had several good experiences here but the last wasn't good. A Tuesday night. Not busy. Meeting some family. Party of 7. 2 of 7 were running 10 min late. Even though 5 of us were there, they refused to seat us until entire party was there. We knew what the others wanted and were ready to order. Wanted to order drinks and appetizers. No table. Stopped in to try some apps. Their wings are very tasty and juicy. Have abundant seasoning on the rub and pair well with blue cheese / buffalo mix once you are at the bare meat. The parm custed spinach dip is so Cheesey and delicious . I actually liked the chips they give as many had mentioned a preference towards tortilla chips. Even got a loaf of their tasty bread included . Will be adding Longhorn to my rotation for sure read more
