Service: The service was without a doubt the worst service we have had in 10 years. (The restaurant was only half full the entire time we were there, so the poor service can't be attributed to being too busy. The fundamental problem was the attitude of our server. When our meal was delivered, the French fries were room temperature. When I asked the waitress to return them, she said, "I don't have to listen to you complain about your food. I didn't make it. You can't complain to me about your food; I'm getting a manager.") Food: We were told they didn't have any baked potatoes, but people who were seated within less than 10 min of us were able to order a baked potato. Both of our steaks were only slightly warmer than room temperature. (I don't know how much of the food temperature could be due to it sitting and waiting to be served; the steaks at least should have been served hot.) The manager reduced our bill by half the price of my meal, but it wasn't enough to compensate for the attitude of the server and the temperature of the food. This was one of the worst trips to a long horns that Iv ever had. To start off I ordered my steak med rare it came out so burnt a dog wouldn't have ate it. Then waited way too long for my replacement steak that was super rare (which was fine) but it tasted like it was freezer burnt. For a 33$ steak I'm not impressed at all. Second the loaded bake potato? More like a not cooked long enough potato with shredded cheese on it and bacon so hard I almost chopped my tooth. The sweet tee tasted like donkey, side salad was a joke. And to top it all off the manager was more worried about flirting with his waitresses than he was his customers. We went here for late lunch to celebrate our 47th anniversary on Monday the 14th! From the time we walked in the door, to our exit, the staff was exceptional! Very welcoming, attentive and very professional! Management was very visible! The restaurant was immaculate, bathrooms very clean! We ordered TBones and baked potatoes! They were cooked and seasoned perfectly! I failed to get the name of our waitress, and I apologize for that. She was so good! Towards end of our meal, she presented us with a beautiful cheesecake to share for our anniversary! We were so full, we requested a carryout box for it! Waitress was really good tonight along with the food. Never had to wait long when we made requests. She was very personable. Not sure if her name. We dined around 4pm. I believe she was tending bar as well. My mom loved her big fried chicken salad and my dad loved his full slab of ribs. We all had enough food left to take home. We started with the Wild West Shrimp and I had a cup of baked potato soup. My steak was cook a perfect med rare. I'm always satisfied when I can get a steak cooked properly. This is our second time here . Erin was a super server. O m g for that matter every employee there was friendly as heck. Staters Texas union. Hubs had full slab ribs. I sat with an empty glass until i finished my sweet potato, then waited a while longer before the waitress told me she'd get me a refill, then waited a while longer before actually arrived to my table (with the extra glass of ice I asked for when I ordered) and without a straw. The manager fetched me a straw, finally. May I saw the food was good and cooked just right. It's just the service really needs improvement at this place. Even then, I left a five dollar tip. The food and service was overall a great experience but there was one inconvenience, a server decided that they should go around, take people's purses to the back, dig through the purses, steal cash, and bring back the purses to the rightful owners but keep the cash. It pains me to give this place a bad rating. The first time we went was for a Birthday party and it was absolutely rock solid, spot on, 5 stars, even better than the best in Paducah. This time, my steak was cooked into a hard piece of cardboard with what I'm sure was close to 3,000,000 mg sodium. My Brussel sprouts were swimming in grease, my salad was just ok, my wife's chicken tenders were rubbery and difficult to chew they had been so over cooked, The food was a solid 3/5 BUT the atmosphere was one of complete chaos. The manager was talking down to the staff but he was trying to manage his store. Multiple employees were heard talking about how several staff members had walked out or left and they were clearly short staffed. My wife and I went to Longhorn steakhouse this afternoon for her birthday. We waited about 20 minute which wasn't long, had a good seat in a booth. I ordered a 12oz prime rib and she ordered the pork chop dinner which came with 2 pork chops . The prime rib was okay, not anything special. It had a lot of fat on the edges. The pork chops my wife had looked good, but they were tough and really salty. I tried a small bit to see and it was too salty. We eat our dinner a little disappointed in the food quality for the price. The service was good, the waitress did a good job. I think there are too many steakhouses in Paducah for us to return here. Should have known....we were given a 45 minute wait time so we ran to the Walmart right behind the restaurant. We got the text our table was ready and immediately headed to the checkout with our 4 items....and the phone rang. They called to ask if we were in the property.....well we would be in about 5 minutes....we race over and my husband let's us out so we can claim our table while he parks. We rush in.....and wait....there's no one at the hostess stand but it's only four or five minutes. She takes care of the people in front of us and seats us. Ordering and everything went smooth, drinks came timely, and appetizers/ salads came quick too. We got the shrimp for our party to share. The shrimp was very pale, could have used another 1-2 minutes in the oil and a sprinkle of salt. The complimentary bread was good....very tough to cut though. This is where we should have realized how it was going to be....we notice the table beside us sent both if their plates back. And we wait......they get their replacement meals. And we wait.....then my dumaugbter notices the table on the other side of them sends one of their plates back.....we continue to wait for outer food. By this time the manager has made an appearance at the first table beside us and their meal is totally comped. We finally get out food.....let's just say....we should have know better.....we sent one stamens back, they forgot one of the sides, my Brussel sprouts were overcooked (that was a generous description) so I requested a sweet potato. My husband's 30 dollar steak was perfectly cooked on one side to the T.....the other was raw. He ordered medium well. While I appreciate how quick they were to correct everything graciously, for the prices they charge, there should be no consistent issues like improperly cooked steaks. read more

I have visited my local restaurant many times and always have good service but for the amount of people we had, the service was outstanding. My friends and I walk in the entrance and was almost ran over by one of the server on the phone walking out the door, we get seated quickly and wasn't acknowledged for 10 minutes until someone finally comes and gets our drink order and says our server Crystal will be right with us, we finally get our drinks then our server finally approaches us with, "what can I get you" and rushed us through ordering our food. The Mac and cheese was phenomenal as always, the French onion soup is NOT recommended and the service was beyond awful. This was our second trip to Longhorn. The first was on a Friday night and we ended up leaving. Sorry, but I'm not waiting 1 1/2 hours to eat in a chain steak house. Our second try was better; on a Thursday night was told our wait would be 15 minutes so we had a seat in the bar. Wife ordered wine and I ordered a Manhattan. Not sure what the bartender put in that drink but I don't think she knew how to make a Manhattan. We were seated within 10 minutes, probably because UK was playing and everyone else stayed home to watch the game. Our waiter didn't show for several minutes which we didn't mind since we were having our drinks and browsing the menu. When he did arrive we went ahead and placed our order, each ordering a steak, the wife's medium rare and mine medium. We asked for water, I ordered wine to be brought with the meal and the waiter said he would bring bread. Our salads arrived, brought by another wait staff person but still no bread and no water. Finished our salads, still no bread, no water and no sign of our waiter. The steaks arrived brought by still another wait staff person, still no bread, water, wine and no waiter. Wife's steak is way overcooked, more like medium well instead of medium rare. Mine was medium rare so I gave her my larger steak and took her smaller one. Finally the waiter appears and asks how everything is. I tell him that we still have no bread, no water, he hasn't brought my wine and the steaks are no cooked the way we ordered so I handed both of them to him and told him to do it again. He takes them away and comes back five minutes later with two glasses of water. I remind him again of the bread and the wine. He says he will go get the wine and the bread is in the oven. By this time I'm not happy because I'm seeing loaf after loaf of bread coming out of the kitchen. We wait another 10 minutes and the manager arrives. I guess the waiter told him there was a problem. So I tell the manager that we had to send the steaks back, still had no bread and I didn't get the wine I ordered which was okay because I didn't even want it anymore. He apologized profusely and brought the bread and the wine and went to check on our steaks. A waiter, not ours, brought the wife's steak and immediately left. We could tell immediately that it was seriously overcooked. It was well done. Manager came back and she shows it to him. He apologized and offered to cook her another one which she refused because by this time she has lost her appetite. The manager brings my steak and waits while I cut into it and it is perfect. Again he offers to cook the wife another steak and she turns him down. He tells us that my wine is on the house and offers us free dessert which we turn down. So as I'm eating my steak, a waiter goes by and drops a full milkshake on the floor right next to our table and that stuff goes everywhere. None of it splashed on either of us but the manager was at our table again in an instant apologizing and told us that our entire meal was on the house because our experience was so bad. In a nutshell, our waiter Jerome was just incompetent, but the manager did everything in his power to try to make it right with us; thus the reason for rating this place two stars instead of one. Maybe they were just having a bad night. Because the manager tried so hard to make it right, we will go back and try again because once they got my steak cooked right, it was really very good. read more

First time visiting, and I was very disappointed in the service. Food was great, steak was awesome, and that macaroni ...Mmmmm! But the service seemed on the edge of unfriendly. The hostess didn't have a smile to share. The waitress didn't know anything about eye contact. There was one gentleman who greeted us on the way to our table that was very chipper! We were seated right beside the entrance to the kitchen and I did not once receive a refill. My husband finally got his refill after I made a show of taking a picture of his empty glass. Now normally I am understanding and would prefer to just ask politely if not noticed, but I couldn't locate our waitress through the entire meal.
