We ate breakfast here while staying at the Holiday Inn. If you pay an extra $10 a night for the room on Hotels.com, you get breakfast for two, which ended up being a good deal because breakfast for two was about $18.50. The eggs and bacon were good, but the waffles were not. The wife calls them "miserable." The best item were the potatoes, which were delicious. Of the eggs, I preferred the scrambled eggs to the omelette. The amount of food you get is quite sufficient. The menu says 3 egg omelette, but it looks like 5 eggs.

Service- maybe 2/10 Staff seemed to be too busy bantering to handle the three tables. Very limited menu. Ordered onion rings, for $3 extra, got onion crisps. Would not recommend.

A lot of mixed reviews for this place--either one star or five--but I was on a work trip staying in the the hotel and didn't have too much choice in terms of food immediately nearby. So, I decided to give Burger Theory a shot. It's a hotel restaurant and I went down when it opened at five. Service was good, although it wasn't very crowded either, so I can't speak to the wait time if the place were full. Ordered the Farm Fresh burger w a side salad. The salad was pretty standard (iceberg lettuce, cut tomatoes and red onions). Burger came after the salad exactly as I ordered--medium done with mayo in the side. A decent burger, nothing crazy or mind blowing, but a solid burger nonetheless. A 3.5 ratin would be most accurate, but since I can't give it that, I'll give it the full 4 stars to help up this place a bit. Paducah is a small town and food options are limiting to begin with. Large selection of bourbon. Cheers! Updated: I also got a Cobb salad to-go. It was good!

The Boss burger stuffed with cheddar and bacon, with KGB sauce was juicy. But it didn't pack the punch in flavor I was expecting. But it was a hotel after all. We had one burger, fries, a kids Mack & cheese with a fruit cup. One coke and a draft bud light. The ticked was $26. I personally thought it was high. The burger was $16. Definitely not worth the price. Compared to other local burgers with bold flavor. The hotel is very nice and it was good to try a change. Our server was very nice and a good server. We got full but would not go back. If they wanted to spruce up the food.. I would advise them to get back in contract with PBW. Have the beer Local brewed. The burgers, we could not taste anything but cheese. Salt & pepper that meat & taste what your sending out.

This is a hotel restaurant all the way, I should state that right out front. Compared to other hotel spots that I have visited it is wonderful! Compared to the rest of Paducah's downtown spots, it disappointing. That's how I settled on 4 stars! The beer selection is not bad, I had one from the tap and a bottle. The best part of the meal was the stuffed poblano pepper appetizer. Cheesy & wrapped in bacon! My burger was the Bruben, kind of a take on a Reuben sandwich, but with slaw...not kraut. Except for the soggy bottom of rye, it was good. What did I not like? The price was really high. Appetizer, 4 beers, and 2 burgers were $75! Clearly set up for a traveler using a corporate expense account. Also, the atmosphere is, you know, the inside of a hotel lobby. The service was great, though. I won't go back, but if I was stuck in this hotel on business, I would feel fortunate to have this!

This place knows burgers with their unique blend of meats. I've been here three times in the past month and the food quality is excellent. The service is about average. I have heard the appetizers are really good but never have ordered them. The burgers are massive, you won't leave hungry. The seating/ambiance is nice and you can also eat outside by a fire pit. Extremely happy to have a burger theory here, they definitely beat out all the other chain burgers on quality, taste and uniqueness.

The locals greeted me like I'd just come back from a long trip instead of walking in for the first time. Either they're incredibly friendly or they thought I needed supervision. Either way, solid welcome. Service was minimal in the best possible way. No hovering, life story, or unnecessary check-ins. Just quick, friendly, and efficient, like they understood I came to eat, not start a long term relationship. Now here's where things take a turn: the food has no business being this good. I ordered the Southside Supreme Pizza, and I'm still trying to figure out how a place that looks like it could host a darts league championship is casually putting out world class pizza. I've had pizza from all over the world and this place can hold its own. Thin, perfectly crispy crust, fresh ingredients, and enough cheese to make you question your priorities but not your choices. It's like the pizza didn't get the memo about where it was being served. So yeah, I give it 5 stars. Come for the dive bar charm, stay because the food quietly outperforms half of the "fancy" places that make you wait 45 minutes for a table and then serve you a disappointment on a wooden board. I'll definitely be back. Next time I might even try to look like I belong.

We showed up right at opening, five o'clock, and there was already a long line of people waiting to get in. Make a reservation. I'm glad we did. We had a party of four and was seated at a low top that had a view of the kitchen. Lively open space with an open kitchen you can see both the cook line and the prep area. The cornbread was the unexpected standout of the entire meal. Mildly sweet, savory, light and fluffy all the way through. I was not expecting a side dish to steal the show, but it did. We also ordered the double stuffed burrata, and the bread it came with deserves its own mention. Crisp, lightly toasted, with just a touch of char. It paired beautifully with the creamy burrata and the accompaniments on the plate. For my entree I went with the grilled Caesar salad and added shrimp. It ended up being the perfect call. The portion was generous, the shrimp addition made it feel like a real meal. The romaine had this excellent crisp char on it that added so much. The dressing was heavenly. One of the best Caesar dressings I have had in a while. My favorite parts of the night had nothing to do with what was on my plate. We got to watch chef Sara Bradley working the kitchen with her team during service, and it was clear why this place has the reputation it does. I'd love to come back and try the prix fixe tasting menu next time. Overall this was a great experience from start to finish. And a must stop or destination when driving through KY.

Still, it's never enjoyable to recount an experience that falls short at every turn--especially when the failures were preventable. My visit to Stella's, regrettably, was exactly that. From the start, it was clear that the staff lacked even a foundational understanding of Celiac disease. Questions about gluten safety were met with visible uncertainty and no real assurance that the kitchen could confidently prepare a safe meal. That uncertainty became reality when my entrée -- a steak and baked potato -- arrived with gluten on the plate. Not near it. Not questionable cross-contact. On the plate. Naturally, it had to be sent back. This misstep kicked off a cascade of delays that stretched my wait time to nearly an hour, even though we were among the very first guests seated at 5:00 p.m. Meanwhile, my dining companion's meal arrived correctly and on time. I insisted they eat, because by the time my corrected meal showed up, theirs would have gone stone cold if they had waited out of courtesy. The absurdity didn't stop there. The to‑go order I placed after we were seated--intended for someone else--was finished before my actual in‑house entrée ever arrived. Even the wine I ordered to accompany the steak made its way to the table long after the pairing was relevant, arriving more like a begrudging afterthought than part of a well-paced dining experience. When the final bill reached $250, it underscored the frustration even more. At that price point, diners are not paying for mediocrity. They are paying for competence, safety, professionalism, and a level of service that respects their time and their dietary needs. It is not unreasonable to expect top‑notch service when the tab climbs that high. And this incident is not isolated. Increasingly, restaurants in Paducah that position themselves as "quality dining" are missing the mark on training, pacing, and basic hospitality. Yet, as a community, we lack a consistent or constructive way to hold establishments accountable or to encourage them to maintain standards worthy of the prices they charge. If we hope to preserve both the integrity of our dining scene and the value of our wallets, we need better mechanisms for clear, honest critique -- and for restaurants to listen. Stella's, on this visit, offered little more than disappointment and a glaring reminder that good intentions are no substitute for proper training, coordination, and care.
