We decided to have ourselves a dinner there tonight (July 4th 2025 around 7pm). Welp server came out out nice as gold (lady with piercing above lip). Took our order and our drinks. Came back with our drinks and THATS IT!!! Never seen her again. We had to get our own silverware. I never got a refill on my drink. Didnt even come back to see if we needed anything. But by God she sure did wait there while we were paying to look at the receipt for a tip. We both ordered a burger. Wifey a single classic with a side salad and i got the double lonestar with onion rings. We both got them medium. Well her burger came out overdone (well done) but her salad she said was great. Mine came out overwell done and burnt on the outside. It was not good. But i couldnt say anything because we never seen her again. She passed up 3xs and never said a word. I will not nor ever recommend eating at this place unless it is for breakfast. Cuz let me tell you. That was night and day. The lady that serves in the morning is absolutely wonderful. She got us coffee and water. Cleared our plates when we were done. She had a convo with us even though she was busy. THANK GOD she made our morning or tonights experience would have been a done deal to eating at that restaurant at all. Needless to say. That lady is the worst server we have had in years. The bartender welcomed us like old friends. She was cheerful and engaging. ( that's very rare ) The ambiance casual. Acoustics allowed casual conversation. The burger is a three way house blend of beef brisket...and other cow parts. ( forgot) The burger was cooked how I asked. It was of varied flavor. ( I did the build a burger) Fries not greasy. It's hard to decide which was worse, the food or the service. We arrived when there were only 3 people in the entire restaurant, but it took 10 min before our server came to our table. Throughout the meal she was sullen and acted as if she was doing us a favor. We ordered the crispy chicken salad. It consisted of 4 cherry tomatoes, 3 slices of cucumber that were so thin you could see through them, chopped Romaine lettuce and crispy chicken. There was a lot of chicken but it had obviously been prepared earlier in the day (or maybe even the day before). It was dry and tough. The cut edges of the chicken were discolored in a way suggesting it had been cut a long time before. Everything was room temperature. Maybe we made a mistake ordering a chicken salad in a place called Burger Theory, but that's still no excuse for poor service and room temperature food. read more

We ate breakfast here while staying at the Holiday Inn. If you pay an extra $10 a night for the room on Hotels.com, you get breakfast for two, which ended up being a good deal because breakfast for two was about $18.50. The eggs and bacon were good, but the waffles were not. The wife calls them "miserable." The best item were the potatoes, which were delicious. Of the eggs, I preferred the scrambled eggs to the omelette. The amount of food you get is quite sufficient. The menu says 3 egg omelette, but it looks like 5 eggs. read more

As usual, the burger came out well done, but the egg was sunny side up. Fries were hot and crispy, and our waitress was super friendly and helpful. A lot of mixed reviews for this place--either one star or five--but I was on a work trip staying in the the hotel and didn't have too much choice in terms of food immediately nearby. So, I decided to give Burger Theory a shot. It's a hotel restaurant and I went down when it opened at five. Service was good, although it wasn't very crowded either, so I can't speak to the wait time if the place were full. Ordered the Farm Fresh burger w a side salad. The salad was pretty standard (iceberg lettuce, cut tomatoes and red onions). Burger came after the salad exactly as I ordered--medium done with mayo in the side. A decent burger, nothing crazy or mind blowing, but a solid burger nonetheless. A 3.5 ratin would be most accurate, but since I can't give it that, I'll give it the full 4 stars to help up this place a bit. Paducah is a small town and food options are limiting to begin with. The Boss burger stuffed with cheddar and bacon, with KGB sauce was juicy. But it didn't pack the punch in flavor I was expecting. But it was a hotel after all. We had one burger, fries, a kids Mack & cheese with a fruit cup. One coke and a draft bud light. The ticked was $26. I personally thought it was high. The burger was $16. Definitely not worth the price. Compared to other local burgers with bold flavor. The hotel is very nice and it was good to try a change. Our server was very nice and a good server. This is a hotel restaurant all the way, I should state that right out front. Compared to other hotel spots that I have visited it is wonderful! Compared to the rest of Paducah's downtown spots, it disappointing. That's how I settled on 4 stars! The beer selection is not bad, I had one from the tap and a bottle. The best part of the meal was the stuffed poblano pepper appetizer. Cheesy & wrapped in bacon! My burger was the Bruben, kind of a take on a Reuben sandwich, but with slaw...not kraut. Except for the soggy bottom of rye, it was good. What did I not like? The price was really high. Appetizer, 4 beers, and 2 burgers were $75! Clearly set up for a traveler using a corporate expense account. Also, the atmosphere is, you know, the inside of a hotel lobby. The service was great, though. This place knows burgers with their unique blend of meats. I've been here three times in the past month and the food quality is excellent. The service is about average. I have heard the appetizers are really good but never have ordered them. The burgers are massive, you won't leave hungry. The seating/ambiance is nice and you can also eat outside by a fire pit. Had the occasion to dine at the Burger Theory during a weekend stay in Paducah, Kentucky. The restaurant is clean, modern and in a great location, within the Holiday Inn Riverfront. The interior is nicely decorated and also houses a full service bar. Outdoor seating is available however it was raining at the time of our visit. We found the staff to be very friendly and our attentive waiter made our experience a pleasant one. The meal began with an appetizer of firecracker shrimp, a good selection suggested by the server. While the menu offered an assortment of choices, the main theme is burgers. Burgers with a lot of choices. We opted the "build your own burger" selection and were not disappointed. The burger was prepared as ordered. We added Parmesan cheese coated fries, all for a very enjoyable dinner. We look forward to another visit to this restaurant. read more

The biggest draw back is the price. The menu is pretty limited. We were staying at the hotel, so we tried both dinner and breakfast. The service, 9th for drinks and food, is dreadfully slow, and we were there with very few others. A bottled beer took over 7 minutes to get to our table. The staff was nice on both occasions, but the food is just plain old bar food, except ridiculously priced. The menu was very misleading, because my daughter, whom has chrons, can't have certain food items. The menu didn't include that those type of toppings, were included in one of the meal choices. It simply only mentioned: fries, and dairy (as in sour cream & cheese). We waited well over 2 1/2 hours for our food, which was a simple salad, fries and chicken tenders. No offers of refills, due to low staff. My husband had to simply get up and request refills on drinks, silverware and question multiple times about the food. This place tries to package itself as a full restaurant in a hotel. When in reality, it's a glorified hotel bar. Service is bad because it's understaffed. It's lit as bright as a doctors office. The bar is a complete mess. And the bar tender has to pour out half of a beer when you get a draft. Which means either dirty lines, or the beer is too warm. I think it's too warm. At the urging of the bar tender, I got the fish tacos. They were over cooked fish sticks wrapped in soft tact shells. I'll stay at this hotel again, but I'll avoid this place. read more

It's very interesting because when we walked in, it looked like the restaurant was the area for continental breakfast. The menu is very small, and the price was high for what they had. Honestly, the burger was eh. The buns were odd. My fries were a little under cooked and the burger was kind of bland. We stayed at the Holiday Inn where this restaurant is located ... Where do I even start? Worst food and service EVER. For a party of 5, the order was over half wrong. The one lady - ordered a regular cheeseburger - should not be hard at all. HAHA - what a joke. It is an absolute theory they know ANYTHING about burgers - even frozen patties! The burger came out raw! We asked for it to be cooked again - instead of sending out a new burger, they put the burger that was already cut in half with cheese on it back on the grill - that is SO unsanitary. It came back out AGAIN cold and raw. This time - we think they just microwaved it ... so when we said again, just take the burger back and we are not paying for it - the waitress told me "okay, you don't have to be rude about it"...I was in SHOCK. What a great experience after a long day on the water. As boaters cruising the Ohio this restaurant was close to the new Paducah marina. The restaurant is beautifully appointed creating a very welcoming experience. The service and food continued the positive experience. The service was spot on, not too much but definitely available and friendly. Our burgers and fettuccine were perfectly prepared. The fries were sprinkled with a flavorful seasoning and the onion rings were also very good. As a boater I would come here every time I dock at the city marina. It would be in the hotels best interest to provide an offer to all arriving boaters to drive business to them. Perhaps they could offer, for a small fee, the use of their facilities as I have found other hotels near city marinas do around the country. This would be especially nice at Paducah since the marina does not currently have bathrooms. read more

Finally tried this out. Was excited. Ordered 2 of their signature burgers medium well. Should have been slightly pink inside. I was really pink inside but mostly eatable. Other was uncooked inside. Raw burger, looked like it was just scooped out of the container. They were apologetic and took it back. They made another one and it was almost as bad. Couldn't eat it. Fries were very good. The waitress and manager were very friendly and appolagetic. Not their fault. Knocked off 20%. Still pricey french fries and half of 1 burger (that was all that was edible) read more

I have been debating on writing this review, but I didn't know who to talk to. Me and my SO were there for a couple of nights and decided to go down to the bar, Sam had been serving us every night we had been there and was so sweet and made sure to take great care of us. I'm not sure what started this altercation, but from what I heard Sam was explaining something to one of the other servers? I am assuming she was new because she didn't seem like she had any knowledge of really anything. She walked off and then came back while Sam was helping us, and some other guests, the girl came back and all of the sudden started raising her voice very loud and cursing at Sam. Like I stated before I'm not sure what exactly caused this to happen. Sam, handled it very good. I was very impressed. I also, felt very bad because I didn't see that she did anything wrong to deserve that. We ended up just going back up to our room, but I just wanted to say that we were very pleased with our bartender. The hotel staff was excellent and answered any questions we had. We will definitely be back. Of course, we hope that things will be better and maybe the staff will be talked to about arguing infront of guests and maybe get people in there that have a little more customer service experience. We heard this young lady talking to other guests as well and she had an attitude even with us. Her son was sitting at one of the bar tables and kept yelling "mom" very loud, which is how we knew he was her kid. I understand some parents still need to work even when they can't find a babysitter, but I feel like he shouldn't have been sitting by the bar where a bunch of adults were drinking. Meh. There was nothing spectacular about Burger Theory. Food was decent. I liked the presentation with it coming out on a try and a bucket for the fries. Seemed a little pricey, but it is in a hotel, so it definitely could have been worse. The beer tasted like it may have gotten hot then re-refrigerated at some point. Server was nice enough but not super-attentive. She did appear to be the only one on duty though, with 10 tables she was serving. I'll come back, but only because of the convenience of it being in my hotel. I definitely wouldn't go out of my way. read more
