I dined here tonight with a group of seven. We were told the wait would be 30 minutes, but it ended up being 1 hour and 10 minutes. That's not a small delay...it's a significant miscalculation, and "it happens," as the manager put it, is not an acceptable explanation. Once seated, we let the staff know we were celebrating a birthday. They acknowledged it, but nothing was ever done to recognize it. When ordering, my wife and I both chose the outlaw ribeye. Hers came out exactly as advertised--marbled, juicy, and very good. Mine was ordered with cheese, and when it arrived it was clearly overcooked, tough, and lacked marbling. The cheese completely covered the steak, making it impossible to see the issue until cutting into it. Frankly, it felt like the topping was used to hide a poorly cooked steak. Lesson learned: never order a topping on a steak. Overall, it felt like our large group was neglected from start to finish. Stopped by for a dinner. Around 6:30pm on a Tuesday 8/30/2023. The restaurant had some weird smell but it was not bothering much when I set there for a bit and food came out. It was busy but not too busy to wait to be seated. Quick service, placed order, food came out within no time. Ordered Longhorn Salmon 10oz with steamed broccoli x2. Everything was great. Salmon, steamed broccoli, even the complimentary bread! No complaints at all! All under $30 including tip! Totally dismissive and lacked accountability of their own table seating faults. After we went online prior to arriving, wait listed our party before our arrival. My family and I didn't even stay after we were finally seated. The manager,I presume(He didn't introduce himself to start), felt we should get over it because he met the young man's parents that originally incorrectly assisted us, their nice people, and he's a nice person........So because of that the young man couldn't have made a mistake and been rude in doing when he checked us in. Our toddler had just woken up when we arrived and was having a meltdown. She brought us fruit and another server/hostess brought us some Teddy grahams to console him. So I don't know if today was there or not, but the food wasn't it today. Today I ordered 22oz steak medium cooked, however on upon getting to the house and eating I saw my steak was well done. So I called the manager and asked them if they could remake it. They agreed to make it over but make it medium. That part was good, but once I returned back to the house and cut the steak open to my surprise the the steak was medium rare. I didn't even attempt to call because I didn't feel like coming back out because it's extremely cold out, but I'm disappointed because this was my first steak in 8 months and didn't get what I wanted. When you have a large group of at least 20 women it is sometimes hard to find an accommodating restaurant. But they were very accommodating. I haven't had a steak in over six months and I randomly had a taste for one. I hadn't gotten a steak from Longhorns, even longer than the last time I had steak. I always remembered them to have great steaks, so I ordered the Ribeye today and was so glad I did. It was cooked well done like i requested it and it wad full of flavor and seasoning, without me requesting it! This was also my first time trying the Mac and cheese and the Brussel Sprouts and they were both just as good as the steak! So full of flavor and leaving me wanting more! I was seated pretty quickly at the bar. Bartender was friendly and attentive initially. My drink was good. Being offered water would have made me happier, but I didn't ask, so it's ok. My family dined at 975 Industrial Blvd. SMYRNA, TN location on 2/17/2024. This is a restaurant we love to visit often. The food and atmosphere is enjoyable. But this very night was not all of what we experienced. This has to be addressed due to the integrity, respect, and diversity that was given on this night. Our waitress's name was Mary. Mary was very nice and pleasant at first. She smiled and had a couple of laughs with us. After this, it all turned into a devastating disaster. My husband said excuse me to her and Mary replied "Wait a minute" With a tone in her voice, she continued to walk off. We get it you have something in which you needed to attend to but the tone and disrespect used was very shocking. My husband then said excuse me to the MANAGER (GENERAL MANAGER NATE) he said "Wait". No one demonstrated respect in tone or body language. We had no problem waiting; the very inappropriate tone and body language were the issue. Once Nate (Manager; General Manager) walked over my husband asked for bread to be brought to the table. From there it escalated into total disrespect. I asked Mary was the kitchen short of staff since we waited over 50 minutes to receive the food. She assured me that was the issue and our ticket was next. As you would guess with no surprise the food came out cold and overcooked. The baked potatoes and Mac n cheese are cold. The Parmesan chicken is overcooked. Mary asked if everything was ok and I stated no. The chicken was overcooked and if she could bring me a plate I could remove the sweet potato before she took the chicken back. She copped a attitude stood there and hesitated to go get the plate. Mary stated they would give you a new sweet potato. Again I've waited over 50 minutes and so you wanted me to wait longer. She walked off in disguise and spoke with NATE (Manager/GENERAL MANAGER he called himself). I motioned for him to come to the table and he stated who me. He walked over and I explained to him the issue we had experienced. His demeanor and eyes cut me wide open. He had no interest in my well-being nor in providing service. If this is how you treat your customers this is not a place I want to spend my hard-earned dollars. Mr. Nate did NOT pride himself in showing empathy, apologizing for the actions, or trying to make the situation right. He proceeded to be abrasive and degrading. He raised his voice and spoke to me as if I was a child or had just committed a crime. The tone, manners, and posture were very disrespectful and unacceptable. He lied stating he was the GENERAL MANAGER. The integrity, respect, diversity, and being of service are something he did not perform. He showed total disrespect for the customers as well as the company. He displayed a racist attitude and behavior. He didn't hold the excellence to the mission of delivering great food and service. Tonight was very disheartening to see a man in his standard degrade and feel entitled to speak to me in a very abrasive condescending tone. Excellent service at Longhorn tonight. I believe our servers name was Austin. From start to finish it was a five star experience. He did a fabulous job. Our orders were all accurate and our drinks stayed full. The cooks prepared the steaks exactly as ordered. The mashed potatoes tasted fresh. The stuffed mushrooms are always a treat and we devoured two orders of those. The salad was fresh, asparagus was a perfect aldente, and the burger was tender. Our chocolate desert was wonderful too. They did a great job. This chain has been pretty consistent for us. Although I have never written a review for longhorn, this trip deserved some praising on yelp. The restaurant was clean, restrooms were clean, and the staff we came across were friendly as well. A manager thanked us for coming in as we were leaving. Great experience this evening. First off, our server Anthony H gets 5 stars. What an attentive server with a warm and welcoming personality. The kitchen staff, not so much. We specifically went there for the onion app. It was soooo over fried, there wasn't any recognizable onion below the breading. Don't waste your $10 on this thing. Next were the pork chops. Way too thin and so over cooked it was like chewing on my shoe. Had to cut into small pieces to keep from choking on the dry meat. My partner got chicken that was over cooked to the point that is was completely dry. The only flavor came from the cheese on it. It seems anything prepped with heat, the kitchen staff is not trained to handle. I'll also add that the restaurant was only half full, so they can't play the busy card as an excuse. read more

Smyrna Tn. June 28, 2024 7-9pm. The food and the server Sebastian were excellent. The problem was that the table next to ours allowed their children to run around in our area. My husband was bumped into by the little boy. Two of the girls fell in the floor almost tripping a passing server. When the manager came around to ask how everything was, we told him what was going on and could he please ask the "parents" of these children to have them sit down. He said he couldn't do that. If the manager is so weak that he can't find a way to nicely request that patrons keep their children under control, so everyone has a pleasant experience, he has no business being in management. read more

The worst location out of the entire long horn business!! This is a bad franchise itself. Love longhorn, just don't have anything good to say about this very franchise itself. Service was terrible. As soon as I sat down I was asked if I knew what I want within seconds, instead of asking if I want anything to drink. When I asked what whiskey is available, I was told jack or Seagram's. Not only is that gin but the waitress didn't even bother to look at all. No care given. Then as soon my significant other sat down she got the same thing. "Do you know what you want?" Instead of a hi or can I get you something to drink? I ordered a 9oz Filet and it was smaller than the 6oz sirloin my girl friend ordered. I love the Longhorn in Murfreesboro, but the one in Smyrna has terrible takeout service! The bartender, Christine, is very abrasive and always has an attitude. My latest visit with her insured it would be my last visit at this location. After 5 minutes of standing at the bar... Christine: "Here's a menu." Me: "Oh!
