I love Outback! I eat here regularly. Love their salmon, prime rib, coconut shrimp, Alice springs chicken and so much more. Their Chili is excellent too

Well this is more on the service then the food or ambiance. I was not hungry for steak but my close friend was craving for steak. We came from Chicago heading to Clearwater Beach and my friend craved a steak from outback steakhouse. Now I've been to several outback steakhouse but I am sorry to say this was one of the worst ones in regards to attention and service. The server Kylie was so in a hurry between explaining my friends discount coupon and all I wanted was desert. She decided to not serve my chocolate tower cake and assume to wait on my friends steak. The wait despite getting a seat in a hidden corner by the bar took more than 10 minutes to finally get someone's attention. The reason why the two stars at least was one of the servers to over the original server delivering however I wanted my cake earlier already which was weird and then the original server said she was too busy to handle my friends outback coupon. Otherwise it would have been just one or zero stars. Kylie almost forgot the salad too but that's why this particular outback has this rating

Yikes! $17 for a salad that tasted like it was forgotten in the fridge for a week and then served. I have no idea why it was so packed in there! I did add a star for the cute Duckie we got with our drink though!

It's been over 10 years since the last tie I dined at the Murfreesboro Outback, there were too many instances when I first moved here of poor service and disappointing food. What's painful is I am a huge fan of Outback and dine at the Hermitage location even though I live in Murfreesboro. Arrived at 4pm, the place is not busy, and the bar area is quiet. Ordered a standard size beer, she poured me a large (in error) and said she would only charge me for the standard beer. I selected a Bloomin' Onion w/Ranch and for dinner the 6oz Sirloin with Grilled Shrimp, baked potato, and salad. The Bloomin' Onion was OK but could of spent a bit more time in the fryer. The salad was crisp and everything fresh but the Blue Cheese dressing was bland...should have went with Ranch. The steak was cooked to order with good flavor but was not very tender, while the shrimp were just OK. The highlight of the meal...the baked potato. There was nothing about this dining experience to get excited about, or justify the $40 price tag. The service was non-existent, after the bartender poured my beer and took my order she never checked on me or spoke to me. When I asked for the check she didn't ask about the meal or if I was interested in anything else. I highly recommend management and staff take the personal discussions behind closed doors versus at the bar for all to hear. The final straw for me was when the manager goes behind the bar while talking to the bartender, opens the condiments tray, and with his unwashed bare hands picks fruit out and consumes it.

A lot of the food was lukewarm and downright greasy. Our server, while nice, really didn't seem like he wanted to be there

They did NOT disappoint!! I am officially hooked! From the moment we walked in, I could see and feel the sheer energy coming from the crowd and the ambiance: it already felt like great food and great people. It was packed to the brim for Wine Wednesday! They had one table available for two! Our server, Sarah, was outstanding!! She was sweeter than pie and extremely attentive! She always made sure we had exactly what we wanted when we wanted it. She advised sharing a bottle of wine since we wanted the same one, and since it was half price most wines. The young manager on duty delivered and uncorked the bottle, and she was just as sweet as Sarah! Her name escapes me, but I will find out the next time I go. The Spanish Tempranillo we tried was divine! It was perfectly balanced without being too dry or too tannic or too sweet. It was so smooth and thoroughly enjoyable to drink! For food, we started with the goat cheese bruschetta. It was perfection - rich in flavor and well balanced in the distribution of each component! From there, we tried the special of Steak Tips Au Pauvre - with a peppercorn wine sauce. We chose brussels sprouts as our side, and it also came with a side salad. We weren't too hungry, so we split it. Sarah even had the kitchen split both the salad and the main dish in half for us! The salad was so fresh (with ripe grape tomatoes!!) and the ranch dressing was classic and delightful. The wine sauce was everything I wanted it to be: rich, complex, thick, and buttery. It reminded me of the beautiful sauces you find on a steak or chicken dish at a sidewalk cafe in Paris. The dessert menu looked amazing, but we didn't have any room left. All I can say is you MUST try this place!!! If you can find Sarah, even better!

Comfortable w a low noise level. We started with noise salads which were very small. The dressings were very good. My wife and I both had the beef tips special (mine medium rare, hers medium well) - the meat was tough and chewy on both. She had the garlic mashed potatoes and they were excellent! I had the broccoli and it was perfectly cooked and served still hot! All in all a great first experience - made that way because of Eli our server! Thanks for a good meal and great service!

A Cut Above the Monday Blues…read more The Chop House has quickly become a go-to family favorite since my folks moved to Murfreesboro, whether I'm in town visiting or they're dining on their own. The food and service consistently hit the mark, and our latest visit was no exception. I was surprised by how bustling it was for a Monday night--the place was absolutely packed! There was a party of 30 near us, plus a group of 12 right next to our table celebrating a 2-year-old's birthday. It was great seeing everyone having such a special celebration, and despite how busy the team was, we were seated and served in a very reasonable timeframe. My mother made a reservation in advance, and the team graciously accommodated her request for a booth to help with her back issues. They are always wonderfully welcoming to her 5-pound service dog, who sits quietly right beside her. Everyone--from the staff to the fellow diners--was warm and friendly, which makes the whole atmosphere even better. I usually go for the prime rib sandwich, but this time I opted for the full prime rib dinner with soup and a baked potato. It certainly did not disappoint, though it was so generous I couldn't even finish it all. As one of the nicer spots in Murfreesboro, it's a wonderful choice if you're looking to celebrate a special occasion--or just enjoy a top-tier meal.

The food was perfect and really not even that expensive compared to my home town. I started with a nice Cabernet. I had two in fact. I did not know that Tennessee has an extra tax (LBD - 15%) on alcohol sold by the glass! I thought Republicans were all about low taxes. I also enjoyed an absolutely delicious shrimp bisque. It was really good (and only $6 for a bowl). It was smooth and flavorful. In my neighborhood that would cost $15. My entree was a daily special, yellowfin tuna. It was nicely seared on the outside and sushi grade on the inside. I could really taste the healthy Omega 3's. The fish was served on a nicely flavored bed of long grain rice. A wonderful mango salsa topped the fish. The accompanying broccoli was perfectly steamed. This was only $26. I shall return again to this great place.

The restaurant looked really nice. I loved the decor and the layout. We got in, and got seated right away. You can pretty much see the open kitchen environment even from our table. We started off with the baked oysters. It was pretty good. Their corn muffins were so yummy. It was soft and moist. A really good sweetness to it, but not overwhelming. It was made perfectly. I also tried the wild alaskan salmon. I requested mine well done because I just like my food that way and I just don't prefer soggy fish. I thought it was cooked perfectly for me. The presentation was really nice and the flavor was perfect for me. I don't have any complaints about this dish at all. I also tried the duck breast. I requested this well done as well. We ordered a bottle of wine (delicious), and noticed some guests bringing their own, though I'm not sure about corkage fees. We started with the smoked pork croquettes, which were outstanding and ended up being the highlight of the meal. For entrées, we tried the lamb, braised beef, halibut, duck tacos, and mushroom ravioli. Everything was served promptly, and overall the food was very good, though there's room for small improvements. The braised beef came highly recommended but didn't stand out in flavor or texture. The lamb, cooked medium rare, was excellent. The ravioli was rich and tasty, though the cream sauce slightly overpowered the dish. The halibut was well prepared, but the potato leek cream truly stole the show. As we were leaving, the staff surprised us with a serving of strawberry ice cream for the birthday guest; a sweet and memorable gesture that capped off the evening nicely. Overall, a great experience with attentive service and a few standout dishes.

I visited with my parents during their last trip to town since the restaurant happened to be nearby. Upon walking in, the decor felt a little confusing. The menu clearly presents the restaurant as a grill, but the interior still seemed heavily influenced by what may have previously been an Asian restaurant space. The renovation didn't feel entirely cohesive, which made the atmosphere a bit disjointed. That said, the staff was very friendly, and we were seated quickly. Throughout the meal, however, there seemed to be an underlying sense of stress among the staff that was noticeable despite their efforts to remain professional and attentive. It created a slightly uncomfortable atmosphere at times. For dinner, we ordered the filet with broccoli and French fries, while another guest ordered a salad. Unfortunately, the salad had to be sent back because it arrived with blue cheese despite a requested omission due to an allergy. Thankfully, the issue was corrected. The filet itself was cooked to the requested temperature, and overall the food was fine, but nothing particularly stood out as memorable. Everything was acceptable, though not especially remarkable. Overall, Firebird Grill may work well for larger groups or families looking for a convenient, casual meal, but with so many standout restaurants in Nashville, it's probably not a place I'd personally revisit.
