I just have to say that Longhorn is one of my favorite restaurants. It's my go to place whenever I feel like having a great meal. Tonight was my late Mother's Day with my daughter and her fiancé. We had a wonderful time and the food was excellent Felicia, our waitress was on point and loved everything that she did. She totally made our dining experience more enjoyable. I hadn't been to a Longhorn in a long time. I was pleasently surprised this visit. Instead of steak, I ordered parmesan crusted chicken, a loaded baked potato and a ceasar salad. Let's start with the food. I ordered a burger, medium rare. It came cooked medium, which I'm fine with and used to. The bun that they used fall apart within two minutes of trying to eat it. I was very pleased with my recent LongHorn experience - it has been a long while since I've been to this location! After an amazing experience at an out of state LH, I was hopeful my impression would remain the same. This location has their act together! It didn't take long for our wonderful server to come to our table (wish I remember her name) and took our drink orders, no booze on this visit but also asked if we wanted bread. Yes, please is the only obvious answer - the bread here is totally worth it. I decided to add a side salad on to my burger in addition to the fries ... my eyes were bigger than my stomach. I could barely eat my burger, which was sad because it was on point too! Only advise, ask for dressing on the side (I forgot this time & my salad was heavy on the dressing, but NBD). This place is CONSISTENTLY EXCELLENT! The staff are prompt, courteous, friendly, helpful & efficient! They always get the orders correct. I always get the 9 oz filet although I need to try the thick cut pork chops bc they look DELISH also. The Caesar salad is ALWAYS delish - freshly tossed romaine with a fantastic Caesar dressing. The bread is fantastic also! I hate to admit but I rarely get to eat warm fresh bread with whipped butter & it's one of my favorite indulgences. I've been here several times throughout the years. The service was excellent each time I've come. Our allergy concerns were taken seriously. Our last waitress even brought out a booklet full of their ingredients and allergens in each dish which was a lovely surprise! They seem to put gluten in a lot of unexpected dishes so definitely ask questions. I was surprised gluten was in the honey butter brussel sprouts. My filet mignon was thick, undercooked and very chewy. No gf dessert options which was a bummer. Now I gotta say I wasn't impressed with the setting the last two times I've visited. Went here over the weekend and was pleasantly surprised! We first walked in around 130, thinking it wouldn't be busy, but it was crazy! The manager of the restaurant waited on us until our waitress had some free time, which was nice The food came out quick. We had the shrimp appetizer, it was really good. VERY RUSHED SERVICE AND THERE WAS NO NEED FOR IT BECAUSE WE WERE THERE at 4 O'CLOCK and it was not busy yet .We were sat immediately in a nice booth , The server was there within a second asking if she could get anything for us told her we need a couple minutes then she was back a minute later told her to come back again in a few minutes. She was back again in a minute we gave her our order. I ordered an appetizer , chowder and then we ordered our meals with two sides one side happen to be a salad about five minutes after we ordered the salad showed up literally just finished putting my dressing on the salad and then my chowder showed up didn't even take two bites of my salad let alone touch my chowder and our entrée showed up she did come over and ask if everything was OK and I did nicely let her know we felt extremely rushed. And didnt have a chance to try anything, but a couple bites of my salad pointed to the table look at all this food everywhere. Just disappointed how it was handled. The manager never came over. Didn't ask if there's anything she could do to fix it anyway just wanted to share , not sure if it was just the server or if this is how the food is served there because the food is amazing but you also want your guest to enjoy their time there not feeling like they're at a fast food restaurant. I visited this location for the first time in years. I was blown away. First I must say the bread here is one of the best chain restaurant breads I have ever had. It was crusty on the outside, soft on the inside and very fresh. For an appetizer we had the Wild West Shrimp. The portion was huge and it was delicious spin on what seemed like calamari, just made with shrimp. For one of our sides we each selected the Caesar salad which was served with fresh shavings of cheese. The steaks were excellent and I loved the variety of the side options. I enjoy having lunch at the Longhorn. My husband enjoys their burgers which are large and juicy. I like their chicken, strawberry salad. Service is efficient and friendly. The old western decor is a bit abundant and in need of a good dusting but it does have some charm. I wish they did offer more dishes with lower calories and a touch of healthy eating. Even their soups are over the top in richness. It would be nice to offer a nice vegetable or chicken soup, for those of us who do not want a coronary. Until then I will eat my strawberry, chicken salad. They need to lower that Country-western music that they blast over the system. read more

I love Longhorn Steakhouse in Waterford, CT. My family took my eldest brother who turned 80 years old there for his Birthday. There were 7 of us. The waitress was very friendly. We ordered Chicken wings, cheese mushroom, and other appetizers. They were delicious. I ordered the Salmon and my siblings ordered steaks, pork and Salmon like I did. Everyone was very happy with our meal. The food was delicious. The service and the Ambiance was calm and serene. Longhorn has a family atmosphere that lets you go in, settle in your seat and be served until you can't eat anymore. I went back by myself for lunch last week. I ordered a Med Rare Ribeye steak. Its was cooked perfect and tasted awesome. I ordered a full loaded potato with it, and took home some Entrees for my Sister. The icing on the cake for me is their loaves of bread. The bread is delicious. I could eat it all day. I love Longhorn, and I will be going back there often. read more

The Shrimp Appitixer is to die for, Even though the Hot Peppers are a little too much... Being from Maryland, I prefer Old Bay Seasoning, over Hot Peppers! But, I like Old Bay on everything! I got the 8 oz sirloin steak medium, which was perfect! I asked for sauteed mushrooms on top of the steak with au jus. Mashed potatoes with gravy, there is some and steamed asparagus with cheese sauce. I mean really The food was awesome! Wait staff, was out of this world with being friendly and, courteous! Only thing that was even a miscommunication, and I think it was between the waitress and the cook that prepared the food. They did not put the sauteed mushrooms and all you on top of the steak like I requested. They brought them out in separate bowls. And you know how it is pouring liquid out of a little tiny sauce Bowl. Overall, I recommend this place to anyone! Excellent service and food! I gave it four stars but I don't think they'll be able to improve much more than what they already have. But I always leave a little room for higher praise. Will I return again? My baked potato came with the skin covered in salt to the point I couldn't eat it And my filet had so much pepper again I couldn't eat it. We had a get together for approximately 10-12 people yesterday for a friends birthday & we started out originally going to Texas Roadhouse but they were not being very accommodating or friendly so we decided to call Longhorn Steakhouse & see if they would be willing to accommodate us. They said they could so we all got in our cars & drove over there. Our waiters were Kristin & Ryan & let me tell you they were awesome! They tag teamed our table & got our drink orders & then our dinner orders & stayed on top of making sure we had refills on our drinks & making sure we had everything we needed. My baked potato was a little undercooked & Kristin immediately went & got me a replacement potato. I brought cupcakes & they offered & brought them right to the back for us so it wasn't taking room up on the table. When we arrived at Longhorn Steakhouse the hostess couldn't have been nicer too & told us that we could go to our table even if everyone wasn't there yet. (We were but that was an issue with Texas Roadhouse too). When the check came & we asked if the bill could be split up by couples because they were so organized & had every person numbered it was quick, easy & no problem at all for them to split our check up by couples! This location is really a 4.5. Our server was Danielle S and the reason i mention that is because our service was insanely fast and exceptional. We were expecting to wait a bit for the food (it wasn't overly busy but there were a few other tables filled) but our food was out before we knew it. The Longhorn steak was totally worth the price ($27) as it was a huge cut of meat that was tender enough that some parts could be cut off with your fork. Standing ovation for a chain restaurant. I have been here many times and the food itself is very good. Everything has great flavor. The stuffed mushrooms are PHENOMENAL... I will take a trip here just to get them. The steaks are seasoned very nicely and of good quality. I've never found one piece of grit or anything too fatty. We usually split the porterhouse with the parmesan crust... YUM. I never knew steak and cheese would be such a good combination. Had a few issues with the steak coming out still bleeding and had to up cook but too yummy after to really care. The parmesan crusted chicken is also amazing if you're looking to skip the steak. All of their steaks are in the $20-30 range and you can specify how it's cooked obviously but also customize it with additions like cheese, or mushrooms and onions among others. I had a huge meal with a NY strip steak with crusted cheese and onions and mushrooms, a baked potato, and a Caesar salad. The restaurant also provided bread and butter as an appetizer. What a wonderful experience we had this evening. We went in on a Friday evening during the usual busy dinner time and waited about 15 minutes be seated. We were seated and had a wonderful server known as Danny blues eyes greet us. He took our order for drinks and informed us of what they are running out of/ low on. He served us warm bread and our drinks. Soon after we ordered our dinners. Not once did Danny let us run out of bread n butter and drinks. He made sure all our dinning needs were met.
