We stopped in for lunch today. My son had New England Clam Chowder, Shrimp Scampi and garlic bread (his go-to choice when eating out in New England). I ordered mussels in garlic and white wine with garlic toast. My son offered me the side salad that came with his entree. The homemade garlic dressing and the salad were delicious. The plate of mussels was generous and tasty. My son devoured his lunch happily. The service was equal to the food! read more

We've never been to Little Galapagos before. We were looking for something for dinner. We saw little Galapagos on the doordash menu. We had to be careful as my wife was having tummy issues. She ordered the fish and chips and I ordered the seafood volcano. WOW:). My wife's fish had this light crunchy batter. Not heavy at all. Both that and the fries stayed crispy (even with a 15 minute delivery). The seafood volcano was super yummy. It had a light tomato sauce. Cooked exactly right. Went here with a group for happy hour we all have been wanting to try it out, I heard good things about their happy hour. Well needless to say we weren't impressed at all. The bartender did not provide us with correct information which was discovered at change of shift. I asked what are the happy hour specials and was informed a dollar off all drinks there was a special for wine and beer as well. I requested a drink menu. I ordered a margarita off the drink menu which was listed $10 bartender served it in a snifter glass which is about 4-5 ounces. Typically I can get a margarita at most local bars made with top shelf 10-12 ounces not during happy hour from $8-10 during happy hour $4-$6 for a 10-12 ounce. So I was a little shocked to see the price and the size. I did say something to the bartender. She said she will take care of me on the next one which honestly I wasn't planning on ordering due to price and size. The others from our group ordered food and drinks which they too were a little taken back at the price of the drinks. The appetizers were supposed to be 1/2 off some that was ordered apparently wasn't and that created a problem because that wasn't explained. We requests to speak to the owner about everything, the owner had an attitude that he could careless. He honestly acted as though it was a bother for him to come out and speak to us. It's really sad that an owner would not be concerned with trying to make correct on the issues. There are so many other establishments to go to in the area that cares about the customers experience. Please note that there was only 2 other patrons at the bar the whole time we were there. The whole dining room was empty which says a lot about a business. We were there from 4pm-7pm. The bartender that came in to relief the other bartender was more concerned and felt really bad about our experience she even offered to buy is a drink. But my group was really upset and ready to leave. I highly doubt that any of us will go back. This place would benefit in creating a separate menu for happy hour only which would list exactly what the specials are for happy hour. Hope the owner will learn in the future to really care about the guest experience. read more

I came in On a Sunday evening around 5pm. To have a glass of wine and a bite to eat. Resturant was completly empty. A Few bar patrons. I sat at the bar hoping to catch a baseball game. The bartender was really nice and knowledgeable. I had a blue cheese burger . And it was really good! My only complaint was one if the regulars named Reggie was loud and would not leave me alone. DETAIL: Except for a few mixed online reviews, I had no knowledge of this new place in an old venue (Louie's). One person had liked it, another said portions were small and one was unimpressed with their meal. I don't rely exclusively on reviews so was undeterred but went with low expectations. For those that knew Louie's, things look essentially the same (dark wooden bar, dimly lit, some smaller tvs kept on low, popular music and an adjacent open small dining room, read: DIVE) My friend & I sat at the bar and were helped right away. The menu is widely varied with bar classics (apps/sandwiches/burgers/etc), fine dining (steak/fish/pastas) and healthy &/or ethnic choices (salads/South American). I had salmon with avocado salsa atop and it was perfect. (Really, very good) It came with a salad + two sides for $16.99. The salad was routine but fresh & crisp, and my double order of equally fresh & lightly sauced mild cole-slaw side was great! I asked & it is made there. My friend got a Spanish seafood & rice dish which was also delicious and well executed. The bartender said people also rave about the steaks & other seafood choices and I believe it! And by the way, portions were generous (though not super-sized as some places are). Anyway, I rarely write reviews but wanted to this time because I'd like this place to stick around. I eat out a lot and feel I recognize good food and attentive preparation. I'll go back. Almost forgot, after we'd finished & were nursing our drinks, the waitress also laid down baskets of hot buttered popcorn for bar patrons. And who doesn't like a bonus like that? Service was crazy slow. We were the only ones here for lunch, and they took forever to bring out water, and even our salads. I had a house salad, and the leaves left a really bitter aftertaste--I couldn't even get it down. My water cup was also really dirty. I ordered broiled cod with sides of mashed potatoes and fries, which was really delicious. But my friend ordered the salmon sandwich, and the fish was almost completely burnt on both sides (thank goodness she even checked). My other friend's bread also had some weird cloth fibers on it, which was nasty. read more

Ordered Fish and Chips. Most ridiculous offering I have received in my 72 years. $14.00 for less than I could have gotten at McDonald's for $7.00, and far less taste. The amount of fish wouldn't have made two McDonald's fish sandwiches, the coating was tough and tasteless. The French Fries were soggy, mushy potatoes and the Coleslaw was a small cup of watery mayo with one bite of cabbage. If you eat here, have 4 or 5 stiff drinks first..... read more

Wonderful little restaurant! I had the tuna melt, my husband had the chicken Alfredo, and my sister in law had the salmon. All were wonderful and at good prices but such big portions none of us could finish. Too bad we were traveling or there would have been 3 take home plates! Finally got around to trying this place as we were invited by our son and his girlfriend to join them for dinner on a Saturday night. Food was delicious, waitress was friendly and welcoming, we would definitely go back. The food and service outweighed the noisy patrons in the bar that adjoins the dining room. And while the bar people were noisy you could tell they were having a good time too. The appetizer we ordered for the table was the seafood stuffed potato skins. You could have made a meal out of them. Delish! Entrees we ordered were also very good - pork chops over risotto, a seafood/steak skewer and shrimp scampi over linguini. Entrees included generous salads and 2 sides. While we were all stuffed at the end, the waitress asked if we wanted dessert and raved about the homemade apple crisp served warm with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce. I came here expecting good Spanish food but was extremely let down. I ordered rice and steak with a lemonade and I wasn't even able to touch the rice. The rice was a nasty sticky blob and the lemonade was a disgrace. The steak was okay but that's not the point. Tracy the waitress made our visit as comfortable as possible. The appetizer was suppose to be hot breaded calamari - however - they drowned the calamari in hot yellow peppers and juice. The breading was soggy - overpowered - by the yellow peppers. That was for $8.95 USD. The meal came with raw steaks cubes - we had asked for well. The sauce was over the top spicy hot. The shrimp were overcooked but edible. The salads had the bitter outer leaves of romaine - entirely. The house dressing was good and masked the bitter flavor - almost. That meal was $25.95USD. My own dinner was hard to screw up - fish and chips. The fish was the star of the evening. Golden and flakey - but just one single piece. The fries had been sitting wherever fires sit in this Ecuadorian House of Horrors. They were just cold. That was $12.95 ...At that point, the place was packed and we had to decide to eat the crap and leave - or start all over again. We ate what we could and left what we could not. We left a nice tip for Tracy because she did work hard to try and help - but she does not control the owner's brother cooking in the kitchen. Final $66.00 for two FAR BELOW PAR par meals..don't eat here folks take your hard earned cash to a real restaurant........Muy por debajo de las expectativas. No comer aquí!
