I had car trouble in the scorching Texas heat of 104°. I had to call for a tow truck. I called Sargent's Wrecker Service and spoke with the dispatcher. She informed me that they were very busy and that it would be 30-45 minutes before they would be able to dispatch a truck to my location. 10 minutes later I received a call from John @Longhorn Wrecker Service letting me know that Sargent's Wrecker Service had sent my call to him, so I wouldn't have to wait 30-45 minutes to be towed. John arrived promptly within the 8 minutes he had promised. He was very nice, greeting me and asking me if I was Ok. He promptly hooked my car up and loaded it on his rollback and secured it to transport. I followed him to my home and he asked where I wanted it unloaded. My old ranch truck broke down in Palo Pinto county but I wanted it towed to a Weatherford repair shop that I trust. John with Longhorn answered the phone on the 2nd ring even though it was Sunday afternoon. John took my credit card over the phone, sent me a receipt by text message, and he came with a flatbed wrecker to the scene so that the ranch truck's wheels didn't have to spin on the way to the shop. John was on site in under an hour. John's done drop-offs to my repair shop before and he knows where the key dropbox is located. He also took notes on what's broken with the truck and he put that information in the dropbox with the keys. John was professional and courteous. He thanked for my business. I hope that I don't have to use his service again, but if I do, I know that I can count on John to charge me a reasonable rate for great service. read more

Experienced one setback after another. UHaul was unreachable (considered trailer tow), followed by family members unavailable and workday looming, I was out of time (at 2:30 PM on a Sunday). John's (Longhorn Wrecker Service Review: Located Longhorn Wrecker Service as an "open now" option when I searched for "Car Towing". The following is listed to account for Star+ rating. 1. John answered almost immediately, true to "open now" status. 2. Agreed to help me without a second thought for the time, both the time of day AND impromptu action 3. Agreed to said impromptu action, given that it would take me approx two hours to to get to the dealer. 4. Agreed to job that would take him two hours outside his service area...if anyone has worked in delivery or concierge service, this is significant, given the time required to return before taking on more business. 5. Cordial - I can't speak highly enough about Texan courtesies (so glad to be in this great state - John was the prime example). 6. Provided a VERY reasonable quote, given all of the information previously-mentioned. In fact, I asked to pay in advance (upon meeting John). Ladies and gentlemen, when your family is unable to help, but a stranger is there for you...it meant a great deal, personally. 7. Upon returning to the area of residence, I needed to pick up spouse and kids approximately 30 minutes from the drop-off location. While ahead of John in travel, he arrived about ten minutes before I returned. 8. Similar to item 6, John remained available, provided an update when he neared drop-off location, inquired about location to deliver my car (when he arrived and I was still in transit) 9. Service - (nearing end, but top notch throughout) - once I provided the keys, John allowed me to start out on the return trip, while he negotiated my vehicle location to load onto his flatbed. Talk about a truck...I realized an attempt to tow my vehicle would have been quite fool-hardy (but I digress). 10. Quality - upon returning, I found my vehicle parked perfectly in front of residence (HOA community, this is important - should be noted that his parking of my vehicle curbside was better than I had done in the past). John was finishing up paperwork, and provided keys with cordial attitude. All in all, he alone subdued any concerns or worry, and warranted this review. John, thank you and God bless you. Amazing gentlemen, John and his helper went above and beyond to help me and my children get our vehicle unstuck. Not only did they pull us out they helped me put my spare tire on.
