(9/12/25),I broke down on the side of the road going to get my son from school. I called for a wrecker, (silver star) and I was told it would be an hour. An hour and 15 later I call and I'm told that they have cancelled my pick up. But no one could tell me why. After 15 more min, I'm finally told that there is nothing they can do and I'll have to set up another pick up. Finally, someone tell me that the reason they cancelled by pick up is that they don't have any drivers available. No call, no text, no notification and no sympathy. By this time an hour and 40 minutes later... I have to call someone else. Thank you Millers towing for helping me out and getting me. I appreciate the service. Silver Star will not only not get my future business but I'll make sure everyone knows how they treat customers. read more

I would totally not recommend this company to anyone . I had a horrible experience with a foul mouth driver who was 2 hours late . When I called it in to discuss it with the owner the owner was a drunken fool as it was very apparent he had way too much to drink read more

Horrible service. Some driver threw a huge fit over a spot that wasn't his and asked me to move so rudely. There were so many other parking spots and he acted like it was the end of the work and dramatic. Disrespectful, could have asked me nicely to move, even though it was not his spot, and he saw me getting in my truck and still yelled at me to move. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Do not, under any circumstances, use this company. My wife's truck broke down in a QT in Keller. Called Geico for road side assistance. They dispatched this company. We were told 90 minutes. Did not show. Called company direct. We told another 20 minutes. Did not show. Called the company direct. Were told another 20 minutes. Did not show. You get the point. After waiting 2 1/2 hours, were told the truck was dropping another car 30 minutes away. Again, DO NOT EVER USE THIS LYING COMPANY. read more

My car broke down Saturday night leaving me stranded. I have roadside service on my insurance so I called. Saturday night a busy night for businesses like this so the only one available was over an hour away. I could track his arrival on my phone. The driver was so nice! Got my vehicle loaded up and gave me a lift home which ironically was only a few hundred yards away. I am a senior citizen, handicapped and it was dark so getting the lift home was wonderful!! read more

I called them on a Saturday. the person who answered was polite and was able to get a wrecker to the address of my truck quickly. The driver was polite, jovial and went above and beyond our expectations. I believe his name was Ron. Plan on sending that man a tip as no one at the time had cash on them. THE ABSOLUTE WORSE EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD!!!!! I locked my keys in the trunk of my car so I called my insurance company, because I have roadside assistance, and they dispatched my claim to Silverstar. They sent me a text and said it'll be about an hour. Ok cool. No biggie. I have no choice but to wait and I'm ok with that. They sent a guy named Robel (I think I'm spelling his name right), to help me, but he was no help at all. When he got out the truck, I said good morning sir how are you??? He didn't respond back. I said ok maybe he's cold and doesn't feel like talking, I get it. He attempted for about 2 minutes if that to prop my door opened and he said I can't get it open. So I asked him well what does that mean. He said I can't open it. I said well you were aware of what kind of vehicle I had before you got dispatched correct, so why wouldn't you inform them that you don't know how. He said well yeah Cadillacs are sometimes tricky to open but I just can't. So I said well what does that mean? He shrugged his shoulders and said I don't know I can't open it. So I asked so I'm pretty much just stuck out here? He said well yeah and shrugged his shoulders. I was like wow!!! So I asked him would I be able to get it towed to Arlington? He said yes. So as I'm calling the dealership, he is rushing me because he has other calls he has to get to. I told him I'm a customer as well so you're going to wait. As I'm on the phone, he's huffing and puffing as if I'm getting on his nerves as if I've done something wrong. I got off the phone and I asked him to go head and tow it, because he told me he could, he tells me he can't do it because he has other calls he has to get to and they're going to send someone else out in 15 mins to see if they can unlock it or tow it. Before I knew I just walked off because I know my temper and I'd probably be in jail and he is so not worth my freedom. This man was rude AF!!!! I'm the one that should be upset. I locked my keys in the trunk. He acted as if I'd done something to him. I'm not sure if he didn't have his coffee this morning but his customer service was horrible!!! If it hadn't been for Ian to save the day I don't know where I would've been. If I could give Robel a NEGATIVE star, he would get about 20 of them. Ian on the other hand was amazing. It took him about 1 minute and my door was open. I had no cash on me but if I had Ian would have gotten a nice tip and 10 stars!!!!! As for the owner Amanda, she is the rudest person ever. After going back and worth me, a customer remind you, she had the audacity to say out if the 5 -10 bad reviews, there's a 1000 customers that's happy that doesn't throw fits about stupid crap and try to make themselves feel better that they locked their keys in their car. AGAIN THIS IS THE OWNER AMANDA!! instead of apologizing to me about my experience and seeing if There is anything she could do, she decided to argue with someone who is keeping her business running. They made a bad day a lot worse. Car broke down on I20. Called my roadside assistance to get a tow. They contacted this wrecker service and was told that the estimated time of arrival was about an hour. I was ok with that due to I was about 10 miles outside of Weatherford. My ETA came and went. Called them and was told they were 10mins our. That 10mins came and went. Called about 25 mins later and was told that he was on his way and was going to call me. No call later, I called my insurance and told them that the wrecker STILL has not shown up. They said they were glad I called because they never know about wait since the stranded usually just talks to the wrecker service. Insurance told them that the driver was 5mins out. I waited another 20 minuets and was on the phone with my insurance to cancel the wrecker, I was just going to Uber home and get my trailer and do it myself when the driver FINALLY showed up. No apologies given. Will NEVER use this company again or recommend them to anyone. read more

I was stuck on the side of I-820. AAA dispatched my need for a tow to Silverstar as a priority. Aside from the initial text at 8:19 am to advise me they would arrive at 9:20 am, they did not contact me or AAA to let us know that the driver dispatched was working a fatality until after I called AAA 2 additional times (the last time 30 after they were supposed to arrive) after my initial call just before 8:00 am. And they could not give me an estimate for when the truck would arrive. This rating is due to the lack of communication and professionalism in handling this call from AAA. read more

After another company in Weatherford left me stranded for an hour and a half, I told them to forget about it and I called Silverstar Wrecker. They had a truck out to me in under 20 minutes! Great service, fast, and affordable! Call this company if you need a tow in or around Weatherford. read more

Michael and his wife, Jennifer, came to my rescue yesterday. I was stranded on Hwy 67 in Duncanville in my RV that decided to drop it's transmission. I was alone with my dog when he arrived and told me everything would be okay and that there was no problem getting the disabled RV to my house in Granbury, TX. True to word, he was a polite gentleman and his wife was supportive while I was stressed. They not only got the RV to my home, but got it backed into my driveway - all at 1130 pm!
