AVOID this place, especially if you're a woman! Mitch will lie to you to try to get you to believe you have an issue with your car that is non-existent. He is an excellent talker; a great con-man, but truly does not care about you at all and is just trying to get as much money out of you, even with all of his "discounts." I came here for an oil change and he said that all of the fluids were checked and filled, but the windshield washer was empty when I left. He said that there was a leak in my transmission fluid, and to come back every month to fill it up because it was a sign my transmission was going. I was paranoid that I would need a new transmission. I was feeling salty about him lying about the windshield fluid so I didn't go back for a top off. Instead, when I needed some other work done I found a great shop through yelp called LEON'S GARAGE and took it there. Denis at Leon's checked the fluid and it was still full, but because of this concern Mitch at Longlife planted, Denis at Leon's recommended I take it to Quality Transmissions. Quality Transmissions test drove it with the computer/sensor plugged in and there was NOTHING wrong with the transmission. Shame on you, Mitch at Longlife! read more

Unfortunately not going back. Paid for a service which I was warned I'd be charged for whether it was effective or not (it was not). My car was kept in the shop for days 2 very simple things. I asked for guidance as to what I can do fix the problem (thinking I could return there with the accurate part)- however, they did not bother to give any guidance even bother to photograph the part needed for me to repair the broken items. Worst of all, my car was returned to me with a couple of nearly flat tires. What shop does that? Doesn't air cost cents? After multiple Ubers and paying for something not technically received: lesson learned! They will take your $$ whether your car is fixed or not. Last visit there! read more

I am new to Miami and have been here twice in my 2 months of living here. This location is AAA approved. They have switched out two flats for me and given my car an oil change. I love this place! Everyone who works here is friendly and efficient. There is no such thing as an overcharge here. You get exactly what you pay for and they are very accommodating! Do not go here. I trusted this place everything seemed great and of coarse he was full of shit. Sad. I called AAA when I needed a tow, something was wrong with my tire. AAA comes and I asked to get towed to AAA approved place. Thinking they are reliable, have great reviews and represent AAA services. I paid almost $700 to get my car fixed AND AND WHEN I LEFT THE CAR WAS MAKING A SOUND. It wasn't not making a sound before. I fixed the ball barring, and connecting parts. Friendly guy full of SHIT. He basically made everything sound good oh I'm discounting this and that but PROBLEM IS now something else is wrong with my car because of what he did and he took no responsibility for it. My dads car broke down and I called AAA for a tow to my regular mechanic. The driver never showed so I flagged down another tow truck and decided to tow it to long life since it was close by to save money, BIG MISTAKE! $450 later I ended up towing it out of there. The Honda accord didn't start so he told me he had to change the spark plugs, wires, and air filter, over $200. Then after that he said he had to check the timing which will cost another $250 because he had to take a lot of parts out in order to do that (my regular mechanic said all he did was pull the cover back) The owner, Mitch told me that the timing was ok and that it must then be the computer. I asked him why didn't he know it was the computer before he started doing all this other unnecessary work and he said that when he hooked up the diagnostic machine to the car, it didn't tell him anything. I'm not an expert but if the diagnostic machine is not getting any signal from the car computer then that should kind of point out that the computer is bad. So either this guy is really dumb or a BIG RIPOFF! So, then he tells me it will cost over $1000 to replace the computer so I finally had enough and towed it to my regular mechanic which replaced the computer for $210 and had to replace the distributor that Mitch broke trying to start the car over and over again which I knew he did because the brand new battery was completely dead. Stay away from this place, don't let the fact that they are AAA approved fool you like it did me. And if these people ripped you off too, call AAA, BBB and the state attorney's office like I'm going to do and file a complaint. read more

The guy fixed my engine after a timing belt death for what seemed to be a good price compared to the competition. Mitch was helpful and tried his best to accommodate me. He warranted his work. shortly soon after, another belt broke down who resulted in breaking all the valves and pistons AGAIN, and he claimed there was no oil in my engine, I would have to pay another $800 to get it fixed. And stupid me, I went for it. I spent $2,000 in total, on a car I could resell $750!!!!! The guy was dishonest, and what proved it was that he became very agressive. He totally knew he f....ed up and still made me pay for it. When I asked why he didn't change the 2nd belt, he said he wanted to spare me another $40. Longlife! As a New Jerseyan and a frequent visitor to the Miami area driving a car to get there can take its toll on your vehicle brakes. I was concerned about my brakes so I brought it to the Lexus dealership in New Jersey before I left for my trip. The service representative said, I would be able to drive my vehicle to Florida and of course he quoted me a price, which was astronomical, even with my Veterans discount. As a woman, I always feel the dealerships tend to overcharge women, because they believe they can scare us. So pathetic! Anyway, in February I drove down to Florida for the SOBEFEST in Miami. The day after I arrived, my car was making noise and the first thing I thought about was my brakes. As I couldn't remember the repair shop I went to a few years ago, I went to Yelp and there it was, "Longlife Automotive!" I arrived in the morning and spoke to a gentleman named Mitch. He took my car to get it checked and when he came back, he said there was nothing wrong with my brakes and all I needed was an oil change. I was in shock!! In New Jersey they told me I needed new brakes and here all I needed was an oil change. Can you imagine how much money I saved? As I explained to Mitch that was even with a Veteran discount. Guess what, I showed Mitch my DD214, showing I served in the United States Army and he gave me a discount as well. I just moved to Miami and googled for a repair to my radiator and I had been having some muffler sounds that seemed a bit unusual. I called to schedule an appointment and he said bring it over anytime. Mitch the owner was great to work with and very friendly even given a bad situation with an upset customer, he kept his cool even when it was obvious that he had treated her with more than adequate service! She was quite upset even though Mitch had done some pro-Bono work on her car to help her out of the situation. I sometimes work on my own truck, and recently I was trying to replace my coolant temperature sensor and couldn't find the dang thing! I stopped by Longlife Auto to ask if they could point it out to me, and Mitch was super helpful. Even though he didn't know where it was either, he took time out of his busy day to try and locate it for me - he probably spent about 20 minutes trying to figure it out with me, and he didn't charge me at all! The next time I needed work done I went back to Longlife. I had gotten a brake job at another shop a few months prior, and my front brakes were already sqealing. Longlife told me the other shop had used the wrong calipers, so they had to replace my front calipers and brake pads again. So far, it seems like they fixed the issue. So I got a flat tire... A lot like these other reviews... I had AAA tow me to their recommended tire place which was long life automotive. I had hit a pothole and knew the room was broken and needed a tire and rim... The man then told me he found a new rim and put it on with a new tire charge me $1500 later... I left Circle the block only see that tire pressure malfunction button won't go off on my dashboard so I circle back around and he said it would be like that until I had the other rims replaced... Other rims that had no issue prior to this man. Fast-forward two months later my car is still shaking when I drive... Which was also not happening before this tire replacement... I woke up to a flat tire so I had AAA tow it to a specialist that was a friend only to find out that long life never even put a new RAM on that they charged me for never replace the tire sensor completely wasted $1500 and now $2900 later my car is fixed... Be ashamed of yourself scamming people saying you are fixing things and you're not! Scam artists! Save your money ! I will also be calling AAA to let them know that this is not a reputable business. read more

I took my car to Longlife Automotive, and Mitch was extremely helpful. At first we thought I would need a new tire, because it seemed like the tire was doomed. I had a top of the line experience as a first-time customer of Long Life Automotive. Both rear tires of my minivan blew out while I was driving on the I-95, and one of the tires was so destroyed that my minivan was basically driving on its rim. I called AAA for towing services and they suggested Long Life Automotive to me since it was nearby. I looked up the reviews and read such positive feedback that I decided to try them out. As soon as I arrived, Mitch took care of me. I was literally in the shop for maybe an hour tops. Both my rear tires were replaced after they inspected the damage, and my oil was changed. I have not one negative comment to report about their service. All of their employees provided great customer service and they were very efficient. I am more than satisfied with my experience with Long Life Automotive and if ever I have any more car trouble while I'm in Miami, they are the first place I'm going to. read more
