Roll for $17 or combo (roll, soup, biscuits) for $20 Totally worth it, get the combo
    Ali B.

My favorite lobster roll in Louisville, we barely have any. This older gentleman named Philip drive this food truck primarily around three spots, by norton hospital on chestnut, by UofL on Preston or on Bardstown rd. His location can be found on his Facebook page, be careful he has an older inactive page. The service is very friendly, when i told him I've been craving the lobster roll not knowing where his food was, he offered me a free drink and said hope you like it and see you next time. For the food, i suggest you get the combo which is $3 more than the roll. The combo includes includes a lobster roll chilled (traditional) or warm with butter, (Connecticut) and a choice of clam chowder or lobster bisque soup and two made in heaven biscuits and that's coming from a non biscuit foodie. As always bon appetit , and I can't believe that Yelp took badge away boo.

fresh lobster, soft bun, crispy biscuits and creamy soup, it really doesn't get better than this. The owner is friendly and nice. 10/10 would recommend

I love this food truck! This was the first one I tried once I moved to Louisville, and it was a great kickstart! I was lucky that this food truck stopped in my neighborhood because I do think it's difficult to find their truck schedule. The lobster roll, lobster bisque, and cheddar bay biscuits were so delicious. Every was so warm and fresh. I hope I'll be able to hunt this one down again!

What a super nice guy and what a great idea Longshot Lobsta is. For $4, the lobster bisque with 2 lobster cheddar biscuits is really tough to beat. The biscuits are good enough to get full off of. If he sold a dozen of them, I'd be tempted to buy them if I weren't watching my carb intake. The bisque was very tasty. Very strong lobster flavor, which makes sense and is what you want. It was thick enough for a solid snack/light lunch. Unless you really wanted to try it, I wouldn't chase this food truck down. But if it happens to be in your area, hit it up. You won't be disappointed.

    Food truck!

Great front man! Super friendly and nice. I was the first customer of the day so I got a complimentary biscuit. So sweet! Food truck outside of Humana building downtown Louisville: I'm a lobster roll conesueir. We try them all over the country, specifically, East coast fans. So, I'm tough. This lobster roll was great. I ordered traditional, a little Mayo, a little celery and seasonings. It had a great fresh flavor and the bun was just right with a wedge of lemon. I would have liked the lobster to be a little less minced, with bigger chunks, but it was plentiful. At a $15.00 per roll it's a bit over the $13- $14 I'm used to paying for some of the best, but, I paid without blinking and eye...so...there you go! My advice...GO EAT a lobsta roll!!! I loved supporting a truly nice guy, doing a great job!

    Combo with CT style.

Fresh lobster. Really that's all you need. Perfectly cooked. Tender and delicious. Nothing complicated here. Lobster roll, regular or CT style (which I had) lobster bisque or clam chowdah. Cheddar bay biscuits. $18 for a combo. You won't be sorry. Such a wonderful treat.

pick two: Maine lobsta roll, lobsta bisque, cheddar bay biscuit. $12.

oh my. oh me, oh my! Lobster Roll craving was 100% satisfied Saturday while i was at The Flea Off Market. I knew we were going to the market, but once i read that Longshot Lobsta was in attendance, i no longer cared that a market even existed. The only reason i was going now was to get some lobsta!! Since they are fairly new (nov 2013 i believe??) i was expecting some kinks that needed to be worked out like most new businesses. However, this was not the case. At all. The menu: simple. The flavor: outstanding. The price: very reasonable! No funny business, just really good, high quality stuff folks. Where else can one get a lobster roll, bisque and a biscuit for only $12?! Speaking of money, Lobgshot Lobsta has saved me a ton! I no longer need to purchase a plane ticket to Maine for a lobster roll ;) This was a meal i'll never forget. It was that good! Besides, food knows its way to my soul ... and i believe i've found my soul mate. :)

Yummm!!!! Clam chowder and a traditional Lobsta roll :)
    Michelle C.

Unfortunately I don't work downtown where a lot of the food trucks tend to congregate, but I do work right across from Park Community which has Food Truck Wednesdays (thank goodness!!). Longshot Lobsta is super delicious! I always get the Main Lobster Roll and it's perfectly proportioned - right amount of lobster to everything else on your yummy, toasty bun. While it is $10 which is a little pricey, you can add soup and a Chedder Bay Biscuit for only two more dollars!!! Why would you not do this?! I got their clam chowder which was a teeny bit lacking in the clam department, but still super delicious. And let me tell you about this biscuit, super delicious amount of flavor, flaky and hot and buttery, wow now I'm drooling on my keyboard. I can't wait until they come back and I can get some more!! If you see them around get a roll!!

Updated menu, prices are much higher

Started with the crab dip- great flavor and texture, fresh scallions and shaved cheese which helped build up the crab flavor- even got extra bread for the dip since it was a good sized portion, Baby green salad- fresh, crisp lettuces, cucumbers and tomatoes in a vinaigrette Bacon wrapped pork loin was flavorful and tender on the inside while the bacon was crispy and cooked to perfection. The highlight was the squash - almost like a veggie lasagna. Char grilled cab ribeye- cookedto perfection (medium rare) with potatoes. Balsamic fingerling potatoes- while they had agreat taste and texture- little too sweet. Finished with a key lime pie- heaven in a pie crust- great key lime flavors, meringue was to perfection!

Definitely burnt my mouth because I was impatient Hawaiian Fish- Big portions! It is true when they say that everything is bigger in the south! The fish was light and free of the fishy scent. The rice was a bit mushy from the cook and the addition of sauce. Angus Filet Mignon- standard. The filet was cooked nicely and the lobster compound butter was a nice touch. There were many seats at the bar as well as couch and chair areas. They also have bathrooms down there. Service was outstanding. We had a bourbon flight and some cocktails. Our server even took group pics for us. He also provided menus so we could be prepared for dinner. When our table was ready, we reconciled our check and headed back upstairs. Upstairs, we had amazing service also. I ordered a cocktail that they had on the downstairs menu, and not the regular menu. It did not faze our server. He said he would figure it out- and he did! After a round of drinks, we stayed with appetizers: meatballs, fritto misto, piatto di frutti di mare and the crab cake. Everything was devoured. I loved the crab cake and the meatballs. The fried calamari was pretty standard and the cold seafood platter was fine- I had an oyster off of it. For dinner, I had the "Pappardelle" : short rib ragu alla bolognese, grano padano, and added two seared scallops. Wow. The pasta is homemade. It was phenomenal. My husband had the "Maiale" : 16oz pork chop, cauliflower puree, chard, stone fruit, bourbon glaze. It was a large portion and cooked perfectly. So good. Our friends had steaks and sides, so I was able to try the Mac and cheese- which did not get congealed! The corn was delicious and the mushrooms were a variety. Of course we had dessert. I asked for cannoli and they had it! They weee not soggy. I had three different favors. I love cannoli. These were really good. We also shared the millionaire's tart and some sort of apple crumble with ice cream. Yum. We had more round of drinks throughout including some fun ones - see the treasure chest video. I would recommend this place. They have a great menu. Drinks were awesome. Service topped everything. They went out of their way for us multiple times. Thanks so much. We can't wait to come back again.

My hubby and I have an ongoing, unspoken competition: who can find the best steak in Louisville?…read moreThe one spot we always wanted to try closed a few years back, so every new place now has some pretty high expectations to meet -- from meal quality to overall experience to value. Hubby took me to one of the oldest steakhouses in town last fall, and even with three adults, the bill was noticeably lower than what we spent at this establishment. Service here gets a solid 5 stars -- everyone was attentive and personable. Ambience earns a strong 4 stars with a nice vibe that fits the area. The menu itself is intriguing, and every dish we ordered came out at the right temperature and well‑executed. Overall flavor was good. The desserts, however, didn't quite match the caliber we hoped for -- though to be fair, we're not professional food critics, so take that for what it's worth. Not sure yet if we'd return. If we did, it'd probably be with a larger group so we could share the dishes we enjoyed and make the price point feel a little more balanced. That said, the location is perfect for out‑of‑towners staying at the nearby hotels and those hitting the area's higher‑end entertainment spots.

Even the water deserves a mention. It was clean, crisp, and refreshing. If it came straight from the tap, I would have never known. It's a small detail, but it speaks to the overall dining experience when even something as simple as water stands out. The service was great, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. It's easy to see why this restaurant has built such a strong reputation. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 comes down to accessibility. As a person with a disability, parking can make or break a dining experience. Unfortunately, there was no handicap parking available, and there were no nearby parking spots open when I arrived. I ultimately had to park in a hotel lot about a block away, which cost $25 for just two hours. Not only was the cost frustrating, but the additional distance was challenging given my mobility needs. The food was phenomenal and absolutely worth trying, but I do hope accessibility becomes part of the conversation for future guests. For those without mobility concerns, this may not be an issue, but for disabled patrons, it's something important to consider before visiting.
