Roll for $17 or combo (roll, soup, biscuits) for $20 Totally worth it, get the combo
Ali B.

My favorite lobster roll in Louisville, we barely have any. This older gentleman named Philip drive this food truck primarily around three spots, by norton hospital on chestnut, by UofL on Preston or on Bardstown rd. His location can be found on his Facebook page, be careful he has an older inactive page. The service is very friendly, when i told him I've been craving the lobster roll not knowing where his food was, he offered me a free drink and said hope you like it and see you next time. For the food, i suggest you get the combo which is $3 more than the roll. The combo includes includes a lobster roll chilled (traditional) or warm with butter, (Connecticut) and a choice of clam chowder or lobster bisque soup and two made in heaven biscuits and that's coming from a non biscuit foodie. As always bon appetit , and I can't believe that Yelp took badge away boo.

fresh lobster, soft bun, crispy biscuits and creamy soup, it really doesn't get better than this. The owner is friendly and nice. 10/10 would recommend

Lobster Roll

I love this food truck! This was the first one I tried once I moved to Louisville, and it was a great kickstart! I was lucky that this food truck stopped in my neighborhood because I do think it's difficult to find their truck schedule. The lobster roll, lobster bisque, and cheddar bay biscuits were so delicious. Every was so warm and fresh. I hope I'll be able to hunt this one down again!

What a super nice guy and what a great idea Longshot Lobsta is. For $4, the lobster bisque with 2 lobster cheddar biscuits is really tough to beat. The biscuits are good enough to get full off of. If he sold a dozen of them, I'd be tempted to buy them if I weren't watching my carb intake. The bisque was very tasty. Very strong lobster flavor, which makes sense and is what you want. It was thick enough for a solid snack/light lunch. Unless you really wanted to try it, I wouldn't chase this food truck down. But if it happens to be in your area, hit it up. You won't be disappointed.

Food truck!

Great front man! Super friendly and nice. I was the first customer of the day so I got a complimentary biscuit. So sweet! Food truck outside of Humana building downtown Louisville: I'm a lobster roll conesueir. We try them all over the country, specifically, East coast fans. So, I'm tough. This lobster roll was great. I ordered traditional, a little Mayo, a little celery and seasonings. It had a great fresh flavor and the bun was just right with a wedge of lemon. I would have liked the lobster to be a little less minced, with bigger chunks, but it was plentiful. At a $15.00 per roll it's a bit over the $13- $14 I'm used to paying for some of the best, but, I paid without blinking and eye...so...there you go! My advice...GO EAT a lobsta roll!!! I loved supporting a truly nice guy, doing a great job!

Combo with CT style.

Fresh lobster. Really that's all you need. Perfectly cooked. Tender and delicious. Nothing complicated here. Lobster roll, regular or CT style (which I had) lobster bisque or clam chowdah. Cheddar bay biscuits. $18 for a combo. You won't be sorry. Such a wonderful treat.

pick two: Maine lobsta roll, lobsta bisque, cheddar bay biscuit. $12.

oh my. oh me, oh my! Lobster Roll craving was 100% satisfied Saturday while i was at The Flea Off Market. I knew we were going to the market, but once i read that Longshot Lobsta was in attendance, i no longer cared that a market even existed. The only reason i was going now was to get some lobsta!! Since they are fairly new (nov 2013 i believe??) i was expecting some kinks that needed to be worked out like most new businesses. However, this was not the case. At all. The menu: simple. The flavor: outstanding. The price: very reasonable! No funny business, just really good, high quality stuff folks. Where else can one get a lobster roll, bisque and a biscuit for only $12?! Speaking of money, Lobgshot Lobsta has saved me a ton! I no longer need to purchase a plane ticket to Maine for a lobster roll ;) This was a meal i'll never forget. It was that good! Besides, food knows its way to my soul ... and i believe i've found my soul mate. :)

Yummm!!!! Clam chowder and a traditional Lobsta roll :)

Unfortunately I don't work downtown where a lot of the food trucks tend to congregate, but I do work right across from Park Community which has Food Truck Wednesdays (thank goodness!!). Longshot Lobsta is super delicious! I always get the Main Lobster Roll and it's perfectly proportioned - right amount of lobster to everything else on your yummy, toasty bun. While it is $10 which is a little pricey, you can add soup and a Chedder Bay Biscuit for only two more dollars!!! Why would you not do this?! I got their clam chowder which was a teeny bit lacking in the clam department, but still super delicious. And let me tell you about this biscuit, super delicious amount of flavor, flaky and hot and buttery, wow now I'm drooling on my keyboard. I can't wait until they come back and I can get some more!! If you see them around get a roll!!

Updated menu, prices are much higher

This was the best experience and these two gentlemen made sure of it. The drinks Brian made for us were top notch and some of the best I've ever had. I had the Chamomile Fields Old Fashion and my husband had the Smoked Ok'd Fashion and the New York Sour. All of them outstanding! We felt at home, Brian and Teddy made the whole night special. We did some bourbon tasting and went home with a few extra bottles. The ambience was a perfect ending for our trip with its warm, intimate setting.

There were many seats at the bar as well as couch and chair areas. They also have bathrooms down there. Service was outstanding. We had a bourbon flight and some cocktails. Our server even took group pics for us. He also provided menus so we could be prepared for dinner. When our table was ready, we reconciled our check and headed back upstairs. Upstairs, we had amazing service also. I ordered a cocktail that they had on the downstairs menu, and not the regular menu. It did not faze our server. He said he would figure it out- and he did! After a round of drinks, we stayed with appetizers: meatballs, fritto misto, piatto di frutti di mare and the crab cake. Everything was devoured. I loved the crab cake and the meatballs. The fried calamari was pretty standard and the cold seafood platter was fine- I had an oyster off of it. For dinner, I had the "Pappardelle" : short rib ragu alla bolognese, grano padano, and added two seared scallops. Wow. The pasta is homemade. It was phenomenal. My husband had the "Maiale" : 16oz pork chop, cauliflower puree, chard, stone fruit, bourbon glaze. It was a large portion and cooked perfectly. So good. Our friends had steaks and sides, so I was able to try the Mac and cheese- which did not get congealed! The corn was delicious and the mushrooms were a variety. Of course we had dessert. I asked for cannoli and they had it! They weee not soggy. I had three different favors. I love cannoli. These were really good. We also shared the millionaire's tart and some sort of apple crumble with ice cream. Yum. We had more round of drinks throughout including some fun ones - see the treasure chest video. I would recommend this place. They have a great menu. Drinks were awesome. Service topped everything. They went out of their way for us multiple times. Thanks so much. We can't wait to come back again.

"Doctor, doctor, give me the news I've got a bad case of…read morelovin' you" (Robert Palmer) Doc Crow's two locations (Indianapolis and Louisville) specialize in Southern cuisine, so you'll see pimento cheese, fried green tomatoes, gumbo, pulled pork, brisket, ribs, okra, and jambalaya on the menu. Four of us had an excellent experience for our dinner in Louisville, and besides the food, a lot of that experience was due to our server, Julie. She was great, super friendly and professional, and expertly answered a ton of Bourbon-related questions from my Bourbon loving friend. My wife and I dove into the Southern theme and had a Pulled Pork Sandwich ($16), Southern Colada ($16), Fried Green Tomatoes ($10), and a Southern Gumbo ($10) for dinner. I ordered the Fried Gren Tomatoes to share with the table, and they were wonderful - "Five full moon green tomatoes fried in cornmeal and panko, topped with fresh chives and served with Doc's Remoulade". They were light as a feather, most definitely non-greasy and had a great crunch from the panko and cornmeal. My Southern Gumbo (A hearty stew filled with andouille sausage, chicken and vegetables in savory Cajun broth served over rice. Served with cornbread) was excellent. Great flavor, great spice, plenty of sausage and chicken, and excellent accompaniments in the rice and cornbread. And how could I not mention my Southern Colada, with Michter's US*1 Sour Mash, Pineapple Juice & Coconut. It was quite a bit stronger than any Colada I ever had, but I guess that can be expected when you use an 86-proof small batch Kentucky whiskey in your Colada. Of course, I loved it. This was our second visit to Doc Crow. We were there a few days ago as the first stop on our Louisville food tour and enjoyed a delicious bowl of shrimp and grits. The Doc sure treated us well. PRO TIP Be sure to check out the Doc's jaw dropping collection of bourbon bottles that seem to dominate the various rooms wherever you look.

The restaurant includes a long row of bar seating that extends to the other end of the restaurant, so there was no problem for me to find a seat on a busy day. I ordered the Mac n cheese and braised greens, and the Mac n cheese was really good and creamy. The braised greens were just okay, it wasn't the best greens I've had and it could use extra flavor. I don't know if this is a thing they do at Doc Crow's, but in my opinion the bartender excessively kept asking me what I wanted even while I was still looking at the menu. This definitely frustrated me since it was clear that I wasn't ready yet. I think she should have done a better job reading my cues to figure out when I am ready to order.

I ordered the shrimp and grits, and without exaggeration, they were the best I've ever had. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, and the balance of textures throughout the dish was incredible. Every bite had the perfect amount of crunch, flavor, and toppings. Nothing felt overwhelming or out of place. It was one of those meals where you find yourself slowing down just to enjoy every bite. Even the water deserves a mention. It was clean, crisp, and refreshing. If it came straight from the tap, I would have never known. It's a small detail, but it speaks to the overall dining experience when even something as simple as water stands out. The service was great, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. It's easy to see why this restaurant has built such a strong reputation. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 comes down to accessibility. As a person with a disability, parking can make or break a dining experience. Unfortunately, there was no handicap parking available, and there were no nearby parking spots open when I arrived. I ultimately had to park in a hotel lot about a block away, which cost $25 for just two hours. Not only was the cost frustrating, but the additional distance was challenging given my mobility needs. The food was phenomenal and absolutely worth trying, but I do hope accessibility becomes part of the conversation for future guests. For those without mobility concerns, this may not be an issue, but for disabled patrons, it's something important to consider before visiting.

Rich, flavorful, and completely addictive, it disappeared fast. The warm butter rolls arrived alongside pesto butter, but I stayed loyal to regular butter. No regrets. A quick shoutout to our server, Devante. He was new, but you'd never know it. Friendly, attentive, and impressively knowledgeable about the menu, he handled everything like a seasoned pro and made the experience even better. For dinner, I ordered the chicken piccata with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. While the chicken was excellent, the Brussels sprouts stole the show--perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and easily the standout item on my plate. Dad went with the Mediterranean chicken, mashed potatoes, and broccoli. The chicken was a winner, though the broccoli was a bit tougher than expected. Mom chose the voodoo shrimp and fries, but honestly, her true love affair of the evening was with the lobster dip. I'm fairly certain she consumed enough of it for the entire table. By this point, we were all happily full. But there was still one reason to save room. The strawberry shortcake. Light, sweet, and absolutely unforgettable, it was the highlight of the entire meal. The kind of dessert that quiets the table and leaves everyone smiling after the last bite. That alone is reason enough to come back.
