We have only been here twice and the first time was years ago during the Kentucky Derby when it was crazy busy and there was a guy literally sleeping on the bar. Now today we went back in search of a Saturday lunch and were blown away. First off, Laura behind the bar is so great! Pours a great drink and helped us around the menu as we had never eaten food there. We had the Fried Jalapeños which are just amazing! Shared the Caprese Chicken Sandwich and could not have been happier with our choices. Perfectly cooked chicken is so hard to find and the sourdough bread was great. Just an update on Longshots as of 12-24-25: Alisha (mentioned in my prior review) is gone (but not forgotten). There was a bit of a grumpy girl who succeeded her for lunchtime service (but she [thankfully] didn't last long). Meredith is amazing, as is Kayla. Bring your "A" game for feisty banter with either of them (and try to keep up). Each will enhance your bar experience! Longshots is still a great spot for sports bar food (try the cheeseburger pizza...yeah...pickles on pizza...sounds weird but you won't regret it). Great service. I was taken care by every staff member and right away. Really friendly well maintained bar, BUT with the whole in the wall feeling... (in a good way) good music good atmosphere. Me and my friends are always looking for a place that's fun "whole in the wall" that has games and good atmosphere with LOTS of good options on draft. Good food is always a plus, not just bar food but good food. I got the shredded beef tacos and oh my god, so good! They hit the spot! I also got the guac and chips! First had issues with other patrons "picking a fight" with us... staff addressed it as soon as we brought it up. They had a lot of tvs and easily pulled up the SEC network. We were looking for a happy hour that we have not been to yet and landed upon Longshots Bar and Grill. Upon arriving we could hear it was very loud (its a sports bar with like clientele so expected!) We chose a spot at the bar and we were helped by Laura. She was very kind, helpful and had great suggestions for our dinner choice. Food was good (better than bar food, not as good as fine dining) and it was priced perfectly. We had the house wine on happy hour and again it was priced accordingly and was perfect for what we expected and received. Laura was a very nice, but just slightly abrupt. As our evening went on you could see why the abruptness, she is a workhorse!!! Always busy and working her butt off while still trying to give that personable touch. AWFUL. Sat at the bar for over 10 minutes without being acknowledged, even the patrons next to me were feeling bad I was waiting so long. When the bartender finally looked at me, she went straight to new guys that hadn't even sat down yet. It was so bad the guy next to me said, "looks like she just dissed you." The cheese sauce for the pretzels has turned into a watery mess with no flavor of cheese at all. The pretzel is still pretty good, but every pretzel needs a good cheese dipping sauce. Bartender is nice, but too much attention to details and doing things his way. read more

Stopped into Longshots twice before Xmas and I am 99.9% confident I have found my Go To Chill Bar. Reasons - Staff is Awesome and Friendly Great food portions that will fill you up Great tasting food Drinks are stiff Price is Right! Lots of TV's Bar has TONS of seating Outdoor patio for those who want to smoke This is not your typical FuFu Scottsdale bar with a million dollars in indoor decorating, but who needs all that when you have all the reasons checked off listed above.
