The biggest difference was the ambiance. The music was so loud that it made conversation at our table difficult, and the tables were placed very close together, making the dining room feel a bit cramped. It lacked the relaxed, inviting vibe we've come to expect from the Gilbert location. We started with the Cacio e Pepe Arancini, and it was every bit as delicious as we remembered. Crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and full of flavor, it's still one of our favorite appetizers. We also shared the Little Gem Caesar Salad, which had just the right amount of dressing and was fresh, crisp, and satisfying. For my entrée, I ordered the Shrimp Scampi, which was delicious with perfectly cooked shrimp and great flavor. Around the table we also tried the Agnolotti Pomodori, which was very enjoyable, and the Spicy Rigatoni, another solid choice with just the right amount of heat. Dessert was the only real disappointment. We finished with the Banana Caramel Butter Cake, but unfortunately it was quite dry and didn't live up to the rest of the meal. Although this location didn't have the same atmosphere as Gilbert, the kitchen still delivered several excellent dishes. I'd happily return for the arancini and pasta, but I hope they turn the music down a bit and give diners a little more breathing room between tables so the overall experience is as enjoyable as the food.

It has a warm, inviting…read moreatmosphere with dim lighting, candles, beautiful wood tables, and just the right balance of being intimate without feeling formal. It's equally perfect for a date night or a relaxed dinner with friends. Two of us ordered the "Beef Bolognese," and we were both speechless after the first bite. I've had Bolognese at some of the best Italian restaurants, yet this version is in a league of its own. I honestly don't know what Chef Dom Ruggiero does differently, but somehow the sauce has an incredibly special balanced flavor that's impossible to describe until you taste it. It's absolutely sublime. I can honestly say I'll order it every time I come back and recommend it to everyone I know. Our friend ordered the "Crispy Chicken Sandwich" and loved it. The chicken was perfectly breaded, wonderfully crispy on the outside, and incredibly juicy and tender inside. She said it was so good and so were the seasoned fries. My husband chose the "Ibérico Pork Skirt Steak," and every component of the dish worked together brilliantly. The pork was unbelievably tender, and it was served with Japanese sweet potatoes, apples, cashews, sesame seeds, cabbage, and miso. Every ingredient complemented the others beautifully and rested on an outstanding creamy base. It was one of those dishes where each bite makes you tell everyone at the table that they have to taste it. The service was just as impressive as the food--friendly, attentive, and welcoming (from the hostess to the server). Hush Public House has mastered that rare combination of exceptional food, outstanding service, and an atmosphere that's warm and comfortable either at the bar or table. If you haven't been yet, go! It's one of my favorite restaurants in the Valley.

And I finally did. And it was great. Friend of mine welcomed me to town and suggested we meet at HPH for dinner. It was a weeknight but we had reservations, so there was no wait. I don't know that we would have gotten in otherwise, as it was 7:00pm and packed. Service was great but not obtrusive. We ordered a bottle of wine (I mistakenly thought it was 1/2 price wine night but it turns out I can't read my calendar) but it wasn't too expensive, and was a nice start for a meal with a friend I haven't seen in 30 years. We both ordered the Duck Fried Rice - me because it's what everyone told me I needed to do and he ordered it because he's had it several times and loves it. And I love it too now after my first taste. Of note, the portion size isn't huge. I was honestly hungry later in the evening, but otherwise it was the perfect dish. The restaurant is small, and in a strip mall with a tiny sign that is easy to miss. It's nice inside, and I wasn't crowded but there aren't many tables. A bit expensive for the portion size, but it was fantastic and worth it. Highly recommend.

The atmosphere inside is relaxed yet sophisticated with an overwhelming feeling of being in on a secret no one else knows, so cool! We happened to come early enough in the day to where getting a table wasn't an issue but I would say make a reservation when coming as it is limited seating and absolutely worth it. I came with my husband and my bestie for some birthday cocktails and bites. We were actually lucky enough to have our Uber driver point out the door on the way in, I don't want to give away any secrets but keep an eye out for a door marked with the goose silhouette. It was very back-door, hush hush The cocktails were fantastic! The Clover Club was by far my favorite but everything we got was wonderful! I definitely recommend getting some bites while you're there too, we got the charcuterie board and it was plenty for the three of us. Nick took great care of us, making excellent recommendations throughout our visit but the star of the show was Miss Bella! She was so sweet right off the bat, welcoming us in and wishing me a very happy birthday! She very clearly takes a lot of personal pride in her customer care and it shows! Plus, her nails?? Gorgeous! It did not disappoint - this is actually a second-story restaurant so you can see the runway and planes! I'll note it is at the far end of the runway, so it would be MOST ideal to sit outside at the end of the patio for plane watching. Two, the service was impeccable on a Saturday for brunch. Is everyone who works here in a good mood? The energy is bright, light and airy, the service is attentive but low pressure. Three, they LOVE PETS. I'm not a pet owner but while I was there two people brought their pets along and one was a golden retriever puppy. This wouldn't matter but puppies can obviously cause a nuisance indoors - this staff did not mind. They were not in a slow service part of the day but they treated the pets like patrons and it actually created a really relaxed, collaborative atmosphere. I will note this though because if you're not an animal lover/ are afraid of dogs, their acceptance is a little more than the typical "pets outside" policy. Four, the food. It was beyond exceptional, and it's funny because the typical airport diner isn't elevated. But this is Scottsdale, and we had really delicious, beautiful food - actually fine dining presentation but in these cute mismatched kitschy dishes which brought it back down home. Lastly for anyone who loves birding, you wouldn't think an airport is a great spot but there is actually wildly diverse population of birds in the Volanti entrance. Trust me. I would not only love to go back but I think bringing a visitor here would be the best time.

Here's my ratings for each menu item we tried: Tenderloin sliders 5/5 Meatballs 4/5 Take off trio 2/5 Tiny tuna 3/5 Tacos 3/5 Our server was just okay this visit, we would've liked to order more but once our food came he didn't check on us again until we had asked for our bill. Overall we still enjoyed our meal & I would come back again.
