I bought from them online ( Instagram) about a year ago for my boyfriends birthday. They were leather boots size 11 MEN, and 180 bucks. I love thrifting and buying recycled clothing, but I will never shop from them again. Especially because she blocked me on Instagram because I asked her a refund. They were described as a MEN size, not a woman size... My boyfriend couldn't even squeeze his foot in there at all. So I figured I could get a refund but she refused. All sales are final, even with my type of issue. I don't think that is fair at all. I expressed that, and she blocked me. They came discolored then the picture as well. They are still sitting in the same box she sent them in under my bed.... Times are tough and I could do a lot with that 180 bucks. And I mentioned this on Instagram as well, and as a business owner, she needs to handle this better. read more

My first shopping experience at Look Vintage has shown me that there is still a future in small town retail. In the Echo Park neighbor Los Angeles, this 70's era clothing store offered me a chance to go back in time and walk out like a boss. I was greeted by two lovely women who selected a white suit that was perfect for a planned night out in Hollywood with friends and a plan to see the Yächtley Crëw at the Viper Room. The suit was almost a perfect fit. But with just a couple of hours left to get ready, they had a clever way to fix the pant length for me. It worked perfectly. I left happy. I forgot my new Ray-Ban glasses in the dressing room so I went back and chose a pair of new 70's era styled glasses that complimented by 70's era suit. Yes! It was an epic shopping experience. Great vintage shop that is carefully curated for unique pieces and iconic styles. They have a selection of both men and womenswear. All of the vintage items are in excellent condition and quality, so don't expect thrift store prices. There is usually a sale rack outside the shop front on the sidewalk that starts at $10, so if you're on a budget (like me) you may still be able to find something to take home. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to find some really cute things off of the sale rack that I could afford and I ended up taking home a beautiful vintage Velvet and satin dress for only $10- what a steal! Shopping at Look Vintage was hands down the best vintage shopping experience I've had in LA! The woman running the shop was extremely attentive and made great suggestions for coats that really fit me well. She quickly picked out a few jackets for me, which fit my style and size right off the bat. She wasn't pushy at all, and even suggested against a couple that didn't quite fit great. They had so many great jackets that I found two that fit perfectly and really looked great! I also couldn't leave without grabbing a couple t-shirts and the coolest western button down I've ever been able to find. This thing was legit right out of the 70's! Look is shaping up to be the best vintage spot in Echo Park! It's real vintage that you don't have to wade through racks of crap for like with Sunday Best or Taxi, and their pricing is reasonable (not as cheap as a thrift store obviously, but won't send you into shock like at Lemon Frog). They have a really good men's section so the husband always finds something, and the shopgirl is helpful, friendly, and funny, and won't follow you around the store and bother you if that's not your thing! Love the late hours so you can go after work if you have an actual job (they are sometimes open even later than the posted hours if people are shopping on their way to the bar!) and they have new stuff every time I've been in, and they don't cram too much so its stays cutely curated! read more

The strangest retail experience I have ever had. My friends and I, who happen to be locals for many years in this neighborhood walked into this shop after dinner. It's open at odd hours of the night. I'm pretty sure the chick with the snot nose attitude we were dealing with is the owner. This woman was so shockingly rude that after my friend refused to succumb to her used car selling tactics, she decided to take it out on me as I made a small purchase. She rings me up, leaves my card and purchase on her messy table filled with random junk and geriatric costume jewelry. I'm standing there for a few minutes waiting to sign or get a receipt, something. A thank you. A goodbye. A Let me put this in a bag for you. Radio silence. For awhile. Nothing. It was Twilight Zoney. She refused to even look up at me and proceeded to do things on her phone. Maybe it's drugs. I had to fish for my card on her table, pull my purchase out from underneath her folder that she smashed it on, thank her and walk out.
