After seeing so many Golf Ranch ads on IG I was curious about this course. I arrived and realized it was total chaos and disorganized. There were no carts available and a group of about 15 people clustered by the building. All the people who work there seemed very confused. There was no Marshall directing the flow or order of cart assignment. I started asking everyone their golf time and that is how we gained clarity on who got the next cart. Finally, a couple carts started trickling in and only one person was cleaning the carts and there was a pause on that. They gave the cart to the nearest person to them so we then started going into the golf shop to ask for a key. None of it made sense. By this point it's 15 minutes past my tee off time (10:48). We finally get a cart and tee off and the course is very poorly maintained with small ravines veining across all the fairways. I'm surprised someone built a course on this bad land. The cart paths are junky, they have small black poles everywhere right at shin height and I now have a scratch on my leg. The course layout was whack and the driving range was also subpar. I feel like this course should refund my money and reimburse me the gas money for the 30 minutes it took to get there. read more

Not from AZ, here in town to visit family. Brought the clubs in case we had time to get a round in. That didn't happen so we tried a couple driving ranges. Golf ranch was a great choice. The staff were friendly and helpful. We got a free small bucket as first timers and bought a large bucket as well. Wife and I had a great time. Now Golf Ranch Glendale - I was pretty excited for this place to open and see how it improved from new ownership and the changes made. Let me start by saying they are not cheap, almost double other local ranges (think Top Golf pricing) They seem to emphasize new / better balls and the Trackman system, a relaxing place to improve your game. Appearance is that the new pro-shop / revamped building and new bays at the driving range are nice. The range itself does not to appear to have changed as the "grass" in front of the bays is over grown and is dead 60 yds out and further. The balls are clean and new Mizuno practice balls, the matts are new and clean but they do move & slide with full swings, and the Trackman gives the basic data like other practice facilities around the valley. I was expecting more data like simulator or fitting Trackman data that is not there (I use my own launch monitor for those data points). Towards the end of my swing practice 2 employees were 2 bays away from me joking around being loud as I had about 10 balls left, there was no awareness as it continued through my backswing as if I wasn't there. After that I went over to the putting practice area which also appears to be unimproved. The "grass" is splotchy with different types and lengths all over the green. There are areas around the green bare in spots leaving muddy dirt areas. All in all I was expecting more from new ownership and improvements, specially given the increased prices, but was let down in my first outing back since the changes. To be honest I am not sure I will be back anytime soon with the pricing and lack of Golf improvements beyond a Trackman. read more

Tried this range out as I was in surprise looking for a range, not many near me just this one and another, while I will admit, I've been to better ranges of course, the staff here at golf ranch are unmatched, very friendly, I met a guy named phoenix here, he stood with me golfing before closing time from about 8:50pm to 10:00pm closing time and tried helping me learn my swing Lol, that dude was amazing and actually taught me alot everytime I came here, besides there being better ranges out there what I can say is this one is pretty peaceful, not very expensive, and an overall solid range to go to, I'd recommend read more

We brought our family of 5 to try out golfing thinking what kid doesn't like to hit balls as hard as they can. Golf Ranch was amazing! They were so kind, helpful, and positive. They set us up with everything we would need. They are very generous with balls. The kids had so much fun. They loved watching how far their balls went on the digital screen. It was 92 today and very comfortable on the driving range with the fans We also play corn hole and jenga in the court yard. We can't wait to go back. Thank you Golf Ranch for making our day! The new ownership and updates to the range exceeded our expectations. The staff is made sure we had a great time! He walked us through the new set up and checked up on the golfers periodically to see if they need anything. One of the staff members took time to show my son how to improve his swing and brought better fitting clubs to use while there! The new range has shade, fans, and benches. My 11 yr old and I had fun playing the driving range games on the new screens that are set up to track your swing. No more guessing. We will definitely be back! read more

Love this place, it's a relaxing range and honestly one of the best real grass ranges in town. They are about to become even better from what I hear but then it will be on mats but I'm ok with that lol. They also have an amazing instructor Ken Kunzler who has taken me back to being a scratch golfer and better person too. The course is 9 holes with a couple holes you can pull driver unless you are a monster then maybe a 3w or 5w is your pick. Conditions are phenomenal and rates are spectacular. Decent public course and who can't respect one of those when you can't get on the privates and even as an employee. Just happy to be playing in the lovely weather with Dad. No water to worry about until you're at the 9th I may have given up a ball. read more

Let's be serious here! Is this an outstanding golf course? Of course not. So in a realistic world. This is a fun nine hole of golf. When it's time to work on your short game, this is the golf course for you. Yes, everything is not going to be perfect, but you know what? Your game isn't either. Today, the course was in very good shape. I hit a medium bucket of balls before I headed out to the course with some friends. The golf cart path is nothing but gravel. But, it was a path. Holes are pretty much straight with some bunkers. The ninth hole does have a water hazard. The greens were pretty fast, and some do have multiple tiers. This place is trash. And the employees must be lazy. I went to check it out considering it's fairly close and the rating didn't seem to bad at 3.0 - I arrived at 540pm mainly to just get a nice look at greens and also hit a bucket - keep in mind that on both Yelp n Google the hours say 7-7pm - when I got there zero ppl to find or help the doors said " please use other door " when there were other doors . WEIRD . Then out of no where some guy in cart drive up and said oh you gotta go inside - well all the doors are closed - then Finally some guy through the Glass window says they are closed - ALL IN ALL just from the looks of the place and the ppl running it - THIS PLACE IS TRASH - rate it 1.3 starz - would never recommend anyone to place here -cheap trash course read more

If I'm looking for a cheap course, this is my go to! It's fairly well maintained for how cheap it is and the practice range is pretty well kept up. Year round you can get 9 holes of golf with a cart for about $20. read more

Went with a group of friends at this golf course and extremely disappointed. Have been here multiple times never had a problem until today. They have horrible customer service especially Mark. Mark has a heck of a character following us around on a golf cart and timing how long we are taking at each whole. Completely rude and unprofessional and rushing us on every hole. I don't know if his name is actually "mark" that's what he said his name is. Absolute morons working here. Do not recommend this place to anyone. I walked this course the other day for the first time and enjoyed it. The best thing about playing golf in the heat is you have the course to yourself for the most part. It was maintained in good shape, the greens were a little slow with a few burnt spots. The sand was a little hard but not bad and the cost was very reasonable. extremely disappointed, have been coming here for well over a year - was treated so badly - had two reserved tee times for two groups of three. was told that we could ONLY have three golf carts for two separate groups (games). after much argument, got our additional cart - then when 2 of the group (who had pre-paid for 18) tried to play their additional 9, was told that they had to play with two other people that just came in, rather than just continue. we used to love this course & always talked it up to anyone that we came across - not, again. and, we will not be back read more

Reviewing the driving range only. Hitting from mats or grass (grass on the day I was there). Landing area is dirt, which didn't matter to me. Yardages are well-marked. Prices are OK ($8+tax for a medium bucket which was 60-70 balls. Minimal food and beverage service. Overall good if you want to hit some balls. read more

I've played here a few times. It's close and easy to get to and play. Sometimes conditions are better than others. The constant theme is that the staff, besides food service, have no business dealing with customers. Have not met anyone pleasant. The last time we mistakenly rode the fairway on a par 3 and a groundskeeper came up to us. He could have set us straight politely, but he was outright aggressive and threatening. It was so awkward, particularly for a course that is never really in any kind of great shape, and is $25 for 9. This guy has no place dealing with customers. Not sure of his name, but was probably 50+ white guy on the skinnier side. This was Sunday, if anyone from the course reads this. First of all, I live in Glendale, not SF as Yelp tells you. That said, I go to Desert Mirage Golf frequently. After I retired, either I or my son and I visit Desert Mirage, exclusively, at least once a week. The staff here (especially the young man usually at the desk) is over the top! I am greeted pleasantly upon arrival, and have teed off on-time or earlier than my reservation time(s), not having to wait until the reservation time! Sometimes my son hits the driving range prior to our tee time, and has said he really enjoys it. Expensive? NOT!!! I have visited many courses here (year-round with the weather), and the quality of the course is well above expectations. The course is clean and clear of any debris (trash) and well maintained! Skip it, they are trying to jack the prices up and you definitely don't get what you pay for with the poor condition the cart path, golf carts and club house are in. Rude employee Frank told me I was late to my tee time. Really good way to start my golf game. In my years of playing, no employee at a golf course has ever been so pompous. This course is in decent condition. It is a very easy executive course but for the price it's unbeatable. You should not expect wigwam or palm valley at this course but the grass and the greens are in good condition. As far as the last poster, I wouldn't rent a cart on this course. Just walk it, it is a very short course... For $14 walking rate which you can get for $8.00 online it is not a bad deal at all if you want to work on your par 3's. read more

I live just down the street from this course and have played it many times with friends or by myself. It's a nice little community course that everyone can play on. The course has a nice layout with a couple of challenging holes, but most are pretty easy to navigate and hit the greens. The staff is very friendly and helpful and you can rent clubs if you don't have any. They have a putting and pitching green, and also a nice driving range. Only downside to the course is that is can be hit or miss each year. Sometimes it kept beautifully with smooth lush fairways and neatly kept greens, but there have been times where it has look terrible. Fairway was patchy with dirt and the greens had little to no grass or was sandy. The pond on Hole 9 was almost completely drained one year. There are usually lots of ducks and geese in it flapping around. That year it was just an eye sore. They seem to be doing a better job over the last 3 years though, so it's still worth checking out.
