We need to support these bookstores. Let them know what you want and they might hear you for next time. I liked the cards and other items they had in stock too. Its great to pick up before you make a decision. Right now I have a few books in my 'to read pile' and once those are finished I will come back here for some more. Great to have this in the neighborhood.

What it loses in anonymity, it gains in character. The shop is perfect when you go in knowing what you want--you just ask the person at the counter. They will order what you need if it's not in-store. Done! If you don't know what you want, I think it's even better to limit options in a small well-curated shop. Any item on display can be considered a recommendation of sorts. No need to browse through thousands of square footage of books, worried that you will miss the best thing on the next shelf. For serious collectors, there is a downstairs area. I do miss the cat.

Before calling here, multiple comic book stores that I have called in are not familiar with this title, so I made sure to ask. The person from this stores tells me he does not have that, I asked have he heard of it, and was quick;ly given rude answer I just told you. Its very apparent you do know how to run a business nor how to give basic customer service. I was able to get a proper answer from another store in Oakland, although they did not have what I was looking for, I was given a suggestion of what they have. Happy to say, I bought a few issues recommended to me and some. It's that simple dude, not hard, and your welcome. You learn something from me today, although you never deserved it.

They said they was told to tell me to contact Dennis the owner of DKing galleries,if he couldn't find them, they can't be found, so I messaged Dennis a few times and finally he told me to give him a call that he had something, so when I called he told me he had the ones I was looking for in front of him, later finding out, he had them in a personal stash and had gotthem from friends years ago. Now I did what many people would never do, I wired the money to someone I didn't know or ever met. Four days later I received 2 posters that looked like they had ever seen the light of day, and they were from July 12 1968. The irony is that a bookstore like this--framing itself as "revolutionary" and openly promoting ideas about dictatorship, fascism, LGBTQ issues, and modern-day slavery--would not exist under an actual fascist regime. In such systems, only books that praise or reinforce the ruling ideology are permitted. That contradiction made the messaging feel more like extreme leftist propaganda than serious critique, to the point of being almost comical. I still purchased a gift for a friend, but the anti-Trump rhetoric was truly over the top. I'm just a normie trying to buy a book.
