LBBI is amazing! Their staff are amazing! My husband and I were so blessed to bring a unique pet, our pet rat, Sumo , to LBBI for daycare during several hot summer days in August and September. The staff were very accepting of Sumo and were genuinely happy when he was dropped off in the morning. Sumo actually became a little less shy due to his time at LBBI, where I know he was taken care of and paid attention to. Other wonderful things about LBBI: the drop-off and pick-up times. Oh my goodness!! This place is the best. I was so terrified at the thought of leaving my Great Dane with anyone other than my immediate family. I knew from the moment I walked into LBBI that this was going to be her home away from home. I even changed some travel reservations and took my girl here instead of on the trip with me. She loves it here and I knew she would be more comfortable here than on the tripI had planned. She receives lots of love and affection from the employees. They treated her like she was there own. They even sent me pictures while we were gone. It is nice because you can text them for updates and they always responded very quickly. They also have extra services that you can purchase too, like nail trimming. The owner was very nice and made us feel at home the first time we came to visit. Do not recommend. They supposed to text updates and instead three days in we call only to hear our dog has been in quarantine most of time for being 'aggressive.' He is biggest love and was from shelter with PTSD. Thankfully I'm able to get him as we did trial with husband out of town and me being home but having insane hours as essential worker so perfect time to try before we are "gone gone". We just moved from Santa Rosa to Roseville in March 2011. We were so spoiled - we had the MOST wonderful housesitter/pet sitter for our dog and 2 indoor kitties. I have cancelled vacations because I could not find the right place for my "babies"! We tried another boarding place in Loomis - BOO! Thought I would never ever find a compassionate place for our Chocolate Lab, "Cleopatra". Then we found Aunt Cynthia's! WOW! What can I say - what an amazing place! Cage Free boarding, 24 hour supervision, lots and lots of playtime and love from the staff. NO NO NO If you love your dog don take him/her to this place!!! I had been going to this place for about 4+ years. We had a couple of minor incidents that I was able to look past due to having an acceptable reason for the injuries. (I question that now) This last visit was his last....... During my vacation I decided to check to see how hes doing. After putting me on hold for a while she finally came back and proceeded to tell me he was put off with another dog (that was in a dog crate) all by themselves because he was humping other dogs and they didn't want him to get hurt. OKAY! Hes never done this before so I was very confused. I informed her the reason he was there was not to be isolated with another dog, She then tells me that he was isolated last time he was there and that they got him confused with another dog. She then said it should have been communicated to me. Hmmm you think? So I find out he was isolated with another dog. (Still pissed) So I asked if they are taking him out to get exercise or are they just leaving him alone with the dog in the crate? They assured me that he was going out more than the other dogs. NOPE NOT TRUE!!! When I came to pick him up I noticed his 2 front elbows where RAW/BLOODY from laying on the cement for long periods of time. To this day they still aren't right. Thank Aunt C!!! We came home early from our trip and we were not credited for the days we had pre paid for. The man reason i will never bring our lab back is because she came home with a gash in her neck and started bleeding around our house. Their policy is that they check each dogs body for cuts and whatnot from playing with other dogs. Well this was something that was very obvious and they never informed us. Communication is key, if my dog got into a fight or rough playing with other dogs that led to cuts, i'd like to be told about it. read more

BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! This place has no idea how to treat dogs. We have brought our dog a number of times to Aunt Cynthia's and thought he did OK. He does get a little nervous going in and usually settled down and does OK. On this occasion he was a little anxious, as usual, and when they brought him to the back, they immediately brought him back to us before we left the building with blood on his chin. They told us that he had this injury coming in. NOT TRUE. Well, we figured that he must have bumped his chin on their door or wall or something. We left and about 20 minutes later they called us to tell us he was panting and his tongue was turning white? They said he was having a panic attack and needed to see a vet or animal hospital immediately. We cancelled our trip and picked up our dog. He was anxious when we picked him up but settled down quickly. There was no need for a vet or animal hospital. They also gave us a report saying that our dog was too anxious to board with them again. First off, we don't know how or where he got the injury. Second off, since they board dog, they should known how to calm an anxious dog. Third off, since we are paying $108 for an over night stay, you would assume the staff would be trained to handle dogs. We talked to our dog trainer shortly after our experience here, She said it is not unusual for dogs to get anxious going in and dog boarding places should be trained to handle this. THESE PEOPLE KNOW NOTHING ABOUT DOGS AND ARE NOT TRAINED TO HANDLE DOGS. THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. DON'T BELIEVE 5 STAR REVIEWS. read more

Sadly I am writing this review as I feel I have no other recourse at this point. You have a great setup but between the poor customer service and communication, coupled with my dog having an unacceptable amount of scratches with varying excuses each time I've left him in your care, I can no longer give you my business. The fees that you are charging are extremely unclear and often change without notice. You have fees that are not explained until after you pick up your pet. Your attention to detail unless it is fee based is minimal. read more

We were very disappointed with our experience. First, we tried to pre pay for our stay since a friend was dropping our dog while we were mid-vacation. We did this for two reasons: number 1) last time we dropped our dog off they required payment in advance, and 2) we didn't want our friends to have to pay on our behalf. We called on the phone the day before drop-off but suddenly they would not allow pre-payment. The girl on the phone said we had to pay at the end of the stay when we picked up. We didn't argue because our objective was to keep our friend from having to prepay. The next day we received a phone call while on vacation that they needed our payment info as my friend was dropping our dog off. Completely inconsistent with what we were told earlier and completely inconvenient for me and my friend dropping out dog off. When we picked up our dog he was covered in bites and had scabs all over his body. It took us 3 weeks of applying skin treatments before they were healed. This is a great place. We take our dog here for doggie day care and she'll be boarding there for a week next month. They have different rooms for the different dog personalities. There's a couch potato room for the lazy, laying around dogs and there's a romper room for the more high energy dogs. My Lyla is a romper room dog and she loves going there. I love the place is pit friendly, especially having encountered other places who wouldn't take her or would isolate her because of her pit half. The place is kennel free so they just play in a room while someone watches on them and they routinely go outside and play in a lovely play area outside. I also like they make a point to know your dog and always seem happy to see Lyla come there. I've also had them give our dog a wash one time and it was nice to have our Lyla come home all clean! My dog loves the place and it's great having her spend the day playing with other dogs while I work all day! read more

I took my 13-year-old Golden retriever there for a weeks stay, which in the beginning was completely terrifying. All you can do is hope, that strangers you just met, will treat your animals, your loved one with care and compassion. We love this place, and so does our dog. We refer to it as Doggy Disneyland. They treat our lab like he's family, and he comes home happy and exhausted. I love that this is a cage free kennel. It's a lot more like how he lives at home. The only reason I can't give it five stars is because of the cost. We don't get to use Aunt Cynthia's that often because we can't afford it. It is much cheaper to pay someone to stay at our home when we are on vacation. Other than that, if you need a kennel, Aunt Cynthia's is worth every penny. We completely trust them with our pup when we can't find someone to stay in our home. The staff is amazing and very well-trained. read more

Just picked my lab up from here! Everything was pretty straight forward for me. As long as you follow the directions they have set out, everything goes seamlessly. We bagged the food for individual portions, brought his leash and collar, brought his vet records, and prepaid! We just picked him up and he was very happy! I have never been treated so less, all they wanted was more money. I originally went to this place when I was going into labor with my daughter and had it pre-scheduled to drop-off my dog there. He stayed four days at almost $200 dollars. Due to that kind of price we have used them sparaticly since. However, labor day is next week and we wanted to try again. I called on August 19th, weeks before needing them, and scheduled my dog to stay for a quoted price of $160 for five days. They said I had to drive into the facility to pay no later than the 26th and pre-pay with cash - fine. I get their and find out that my reservation was never written down and I wasted gas by driving there because they are all booked for that weekend and I could of prepaid over the phone. Then I mention how I no longer need them for the full five days but two days instead, so could they do that? "Sure" Cynthia says but I'll have to pay $120 because they have a three-night minimum whether or not you decide to use it! I was originally told there fee is $40 per 24hr period, so two nights = $80 plus a all day fee of = $26 equaling $106 for two nights and one day. NOT to mention that there is ABSOLUTELY NO compensation for the employee not reserving my reservation. Hell no can I give you more money that the services you are providing. It gets better... Cynthia tells me that since they are already full for the time I want I will have to go on the waitlist! Even though when I called to reserve this they said everything would be held for me and that they had ten more slots open. Now I have to wait when I was prompt and pay nearly the same price as though my dog is staying half the length of time. When I made it home I had a message from Dustin (the new guy) saying that I was quoted wrong; the actual amount due for the TWO NIGHTS is $140! THIS BUSINESS HAS NO customer service, honor, and lost my respect, I will NEVER BE BACK. I did find All Pets Boarding right down the way that treated me better not like I was a deposit in their back account. The other place was cheaper and nicer too. read more

I would not suggest bringing your dog here. The owner only cares about your money. Ive also noticed that there only seems to ever be one person there. From what i understand there are 4 rooms full of dogs yet when i go there there is only ever one or 2 cars, sometimes no cars. there is always someone up front but it is very very obvious when i would pick up my dog that there was no one else (phones ringing, dogs barking and yelping). I have heard stories of dogs getting minor injuries and no one in the rooms to know what happened! I also know of 2 other people who were very unhappy with the temperature of the building when doing a tour some time ago on two separate occasions as well as the smell. i would like to point out that the emplyees there all do seem nice and genuine most notably katlin leroy dustin and billy (or bobby? i cant remember but he was always super knowlegable of my dog and it was clear my dog loved him) but it really is obvious that they are walking all over egg shells ESPECIALLY when Cynthia is there at the same time. this is something i have seen all too many times before in past working experience. this is from my personal experience but also the experiences of 2 other couples i know and my sister who used to take her german shephard there. read more

If you are a loving responsible pet owner I strongly recommend NOT BRINGING your dog to Aunt Cynthia's Bed and Biscuit. The idea that the dogs are not kept in kennel's and have to pass a test in order to determine that the dogs are well socialized is a great idea. All you have to do is be aware of the risks involved with dogs, and sometimes many of them, being in the same room together. While in their care my dog experienced what Veterinarians call a deep corneal ulcer which can be caused by trauma to a dogs eye. I assume the risk right? The problem was when Aunt Cynthia's staff was unable to identify that something was wrong during their "daily checks" and his eye got extremely infected. This injury can be caused by dogs playing together and one of them getting their eye scratched. Once a dog's eye becomes infected it can fully rupture within a 24 hour time period, Cynthia's staff is not educated enough to pin point this scary injury causing a huge risk to the dogs and the owners wallets. To top it off, if you happen to be even 20 minutes late to pick up your dog they will charge you another day and keep your dog overnight. Well, luckily I had gotten someone to pick him up otherwise he would have stayed another night with a melting cornea. My dog very well could have lost his eye had I not found someone to pick up my dog by 6PM. Like the other review, I too have pulled up to Aunt Cynthia to pickup paperwork and seen only two cars in the parking lot and both employees not in the rooms with the dogs but in the front office talking. I recommend finding and supporting one of the other small town kennel's in Loomis. After countless vet bills and the poor look on my dogs face with the E-collar for an entire month, I can safely say I will not be bringing my dog back to this place. read more

I had a family emergency and needed to travel to North California. A family member suggested Cynthia's. I called in hopes of arranging an "observation" appointment the day I arrived in town. I was keeping my fingers crossed that Rico would make muster, as everyone in the family was in a highly charged emotional state and I knew Rico was picking up on it. Rico passed with flying colors and has been there twice since. He loves it there and barely wants to leave. I never feel that I am leaving Rico with employees that are simply "doing their job". Everyone there has a genuine interest in the dogs and their health and well-being. My dogs whine to get in! We've been taking our labs to Aunt C's for several years now. For them, it's like going to camp. They eat their own food in privacy, but sleep & play with the dogs in their room - no cages. Lots of bathroom breaks, 24-hour care. All dogs are screened ahead of time to keep things safe. We've boarded them for a day or two and we've boarded them for weeks at a time. They come home happy and healthy. As soon as we round the corner into the driveway, our one lab starts whining to get into the place to see her friends and play. read more

When it became necessary to find a place, overwhelmingly great word of mouth reviews led us to Aunt Cynthia's. I appreciate that they review dogs temperaments to see if they will be a good fit for this cage free environment. The kennel is so well designed and managed, and the staff are over the top friendly and professional. Our dog always comes home happy and exhausted from all his play time. He really loves everyone there. We feel that we can totally relax knowing that our dog is being so welled cared for. When we picked him up after Valentine's Day they even had little gifts for him. We took my 2nd child my Labrador mix puppy to Aunt Cynthia's while we went on a family getaway for 3 days. I was so nervous and sick to my stomach about leaving my obnoxious puppy in the hands of strangers lol. The thing that sold me on Aunt Cynthia's was the open free roam policy and 24 hour care. Not only was my puppy in the best hands possible it was like a mini vacation for him as well. The dogs had their own yards separated by size, indoor couch and comfy sleeping areas, lots of toys and even an on site trainer. If you have to leave your precious pets in anyones care I highly recommend Aunt Cynthia's. read more

Unfortunately my experience wasn't that great. I dropped my dog off for the first time on Saturday morning (picking up Monday) and by early Saturday night, she had been injured to the extent that she required emergency vet care. The most upsetting thing is that the owner, Cynthia McCoy didn't inform me (or any of the 3 emergency contacts I was required to give) of this until the following day. The exact details of what happened to my dog varried at times. In addition, she never apologized for what happened to my dog in her care, and was quite defensive when I picked her up. Her lack of professionalism towards myself & my husband keeps me from being able to reccomend her, or use her again. read more

Hi , My name is Hydro and I'm a Portuguese Water Dog who has been a guest at Aunt Cynthia's several times in the past year starting when I was just 6 months old. Although I was told after my first visit I was with the "hyper" group, you would never guess that because I sleep a whole day after I return home! The new house is very nice, and the inn-keepers are special. They even offer obedience classes for those of us who needed a little coaching on polite behavior.I highly recommend this to all my friends and hope to see you all there soon.
