Once seated, I couldn't believe the prices! Ribeye for $31?? Tenderloin in the $20's?! What a treat. And as for the vibe, this was classic supper club. I visited for lunch, so I ordered the Roasted Beet Salad, which is mixed greens, beets, burrata cheese, roasted almonds and a citrus vinaigrette. You can get chicken or salmon with this salad, but I opted for neither: the burrata was enough, and frankly, that's the reason why I ordered the salad. (That, and the beets. I love beets.) The salad was cold and light and refreshing -- the type of salad that you can't stop eating because it's so satisfying. I also ordered a bowl of lobster bisque, which was thick and creamy, with big chunks of lobster. This, too, was so satisfying that I didn't want to stop eating it. It came with a piece of bread to sop up every last bit. My table also ordered a few things to share, including the frites (one order was plain, the other was truffle), calamari, and because we're in Wisconsin, we also got the cheese curds. I tried everything except the calamari (I am not a fan in general), and the plain fries were my favorite. Frites come with a sauce of your choosing. Three Eleven Bar & Bistro is located in downtown Algoma, next door to a bookstore and other cute shops. It's a nice place to stop in for lunch or dinner while you're in the Algoma area.
