A lot of neighbors have used Lopez and we now know why. The preliminary call and visit was quick and responsive. The quote was very fair and middle of the road. When a contractor suggested that the roots of the large pine in my front yard were damaging my home's foundation, I knew I needed to get rid of the tree quick. I got estimates from 3 different companies, and Mr. Lopez's was by far the lowest. (So low in fact that my wife was a bit skeptical of how well the work would be done.) Emboldened by the 4 1/2 star yelp rating, I gladly accepted the estimate. A crew was on my lawn the very next day, and 2 hours later it was as if there had never been a tree. The stump was completely ground out and the area was clean as a whistle. Mr. Lopez came by later that day to ensure I was happy with the work and to provide helpful advice on caring for the area to ensure proper turf growth. Alvaro and his team helped to trim and prune three trees in our front yard very quickly, and they cleaned up the cut material so that everything looked clean. He is professional, knowledgeable, and friendly, and also provided advice about what to do with some exposed root that might cause a problem to our sidewalk later. I requested quotes from 3 companies. Alvaro came to give the estimate himself. He was very personable, knew his stuff, and his quote came in the lowest. Once I had made my decision, I emailed Alvaro about scheduling and he had his crew come by, amazingly, later that day. There were 5 workers who crushed the project in about 2.5 hours. Aside from promptness of communication and scheduling what I appreciated was the crew figured out some some complications without concerning us. We live on a street with multiple business and there are constantly cars parked in front of our house. Since they came same day there was no time for us to cone off parking for their truck but they found the owner of at least one truck that was in the way and were able to park after he moved. All of my trees are nice and trimmed up so I won't need tree services again for a while but if I do I know who I'll call first (these guys). read more

I have used Lopez Tree three times (and have recommended them to my neighbors) based on their efficiency, skills, thorough clean-up, and reasonable costs. Lopez tree crew (Nelson and others) did a full day of excellent work at my house in N Arlington today. Pruned a large willow oak, removed four others trees and ground the stumps. Very organized 5 person team worked fast and safe and got it done. Their equipment is modern including a massive stump grinder. A huge branch of my 60 years old maple tree fall down because of the storm. I called two tree service companies to give me a quote. Mr Lopez was the first one showed up. He explained the condition of the remaining maple tree to me very clearly. The price is very reasonable and six guys showed up the next day and spent 8 hours to remove the trees, another storm arrived and they have can't finish everything but they showed up to complete the job a couple days later. I cannot recommend Lopez Tree Services enough! I requested an estimate on a Thursday evening, and first thing Friday Alvaro Lopez was at my house providing me with options. I was particularly impressed with: -How quickly he got his crew out (within a few hours!) since we had a pine tree leaning precariously -Great pricing to take down two completely different trees in the same job -What must have been a winter-season discount, because seriously, his prices are fantastic -The flexibility and friendliness of the crew--we have a small yard and so little space between the house and fences, but they didn't mind and were even able to squeeze the stump grinder in! We also asked the crew to change some things at the last minute (grinding down a couple other stumps that were sitting in the backyard). They gladly did so and hardly charged us more! In April, 2023, Mother Nature's hard winds took down 3 of my tall, pine trees. The trees took down my privacy fence, my neighbor's patio lights and patio furniture. I called Lopez Tree Service. They came out that day, gave me an estimate including taking down another dead tree on my property. They showed up the very next day bright and early. The crew of 8 worked for 6 hours straight with no breaks until they broke for lunch around 2 PM. I gave them a check as agreed upon and left for an appointment.
