I recently visited Loqui and tried the chicken bowl with rice, beans, and guacamole, along with a side of chips. Overall, the food was good, but the chicken was dark meat and had more seasoning than I personally prefer. The rest of the bowl was tasty and well prepared. Definitely make sure to get salsa for the chips! The chips were crunchy and delicious! Parking was easy, and the restaurant was very clean. There was also a slightly strange smell inside that seemed like it may have been coming from outside, although I'm not completely sure. I would go back and try the barbacoa tacos next time. The avocado is fresh, the purple onions add so much flavor, and every bite tastes fresh and well-balanced. The prices are fair for the quality of the food, especially considering how fresh everything is. Check out this place yesterday based on my sister's recommendation. It looked like with out be quick service which it was, but there was a lunch rush the time I went and a mishap with my order. Luckily they handled it promptly and compensated for the error on their end. I got the food to go and it was pretty good. The flavor is very simple and the serving is great, it really fills you up. I've tried the chicken and birria - my first time I got half and half. I realized I liked the achiote chicken better (birria had too much fat for me). The achiote chicken bowl is my go to order. With usually tortilla on the side (sometimes chips if I'm feeling fancy haha). The service is always super amazing. The space is clean and smelling wondering. Parking : there is meter parking along Ventura but Loqui is located in the Valley Country Mart. Depending on when you go - it can be crowded. The parking spots are also super narrow so you might see a spot; but probably won't fit in it lol. I love coming here and sooo happy Loqui is finally in our neighborhood. The perfect addition. Been intrigued about this spot after walking back to my car from Van Leeuwen. It looked lively. We opted for meter street parking, but please note that there's a shared lot for the businesses in the same center. This shop does offer parking validation. You'll find a QR code by the register. We were pleased to find out that you can do split meat bowls. I found the prices to be reasonable for the quality and various toppings provided. I love that they include the option for corn or flour tortillas or tortilla chips with the bowl. Additionally, they have seasonal agua frescas, beer, wine margaritas, and Mexican coke for sale. I really admired the interior design and the friendly service from Michael. He was soft spoken but very attentive. I noticed he refilled the salsa bottles without us having to notify him they were running low and he ensured to make his rounds on the customers. We both ordered half beef birria and half spicy garlic shrimp bowls, which come with a cilantro lime rice, beans, guacamole, cotija cheese, pickled red onion, and cilantro. (5/5) the meat was tender and fully marinated. Everything in this bowl was packed with flavor and tasted extremely fresh! Everything was in moderation and truly enjoyable. I chose flour tortilla and my bf chose corn. They were served hot and the perfect touch for the bowl. I don't personally eat at chipotle, but my bf mentioned that this was way better. Parking in the Valley Country Mart can be a nightmare. You have to sign up for the parking system by entering your license plate and credit card. Then you gotta make sure to scan the QR code at the restaurant before leaving so you don't get charged $7 for parking under an hour. The whole orchestrated plaza parking is unnecessary and over the top for this part of the Valley. It's performatively premium. Loqui itself is good. Nice vibes. They sell alcohol. Honestly I was impressed with Loqui, the food was very delicious!!! The guac was on point!!!! Just how I like it!! My achiote chicken bowl was the bomb!!!! Very good flavor and they let me get mozzarella cheese instead of cotija cheese. The prices are a little pricey but it's worth it!! Very good quality food. The tacos are a good size, two will definitely fill you up. They have the option of choosing corn or flour tortilla which i thought was cool. This place is pretty dang good! and it's cute and sleek inside! Got the spicy garlic shrimp bowl ($17 w tax). So much shrimp, and they were well marinated. I could taste the chipotle butter flavor. I do think there was a bit too much rice though, and it could def use more veggies. Red sauce had a nice kick, though I'm not sure what the black sauce was. White sauce wasn't memorable either. Corn tortillas were a bit stale around the edges. Overall, I would get this again, but with flour tortillas. Parking: easy on a Tuesday around 5:30pm. Ok everyone, if you're looking for your new favorite shrimp taco, this would be the place to get it. We dropped into this upper scale looking shopping place for dinner. Parking is in a paid lot but the shops will validate. The interior or the restaurant is modern and earthy, lots of wood and metal, feels fresh. We opted for their shrimp and chicken tacos which come in either flour or corn tortillas. These are bigger than street tacos, probably about 1.5x the size and come fully loaded. I had their shrimp one on a corn tortilla and theirs shrimp are juicy and plump and cooked to perfection. Comes with their signature dark salsa which has its own kick. Definitely one of the best shrimp tacos I've had! The chicken taco I had on a flour tortilla and was equally tasty, with their signature red sauce which I'd say is fairly spicy. The staff was nice and the interior is pleasant for dining in. A great experience, will be back for more shrimp! read more

All the sauces were delish so if you're a saucey person, like me, you'll enjoy all their sauces! And, their Jamaica was refreshing and homemade and the cantaloupe is very good, too, the guy let me get a sample. Prices were pretty average as well, especially for Woodland Hills area. Got a mailer for a free chicken taco here so I decided to come check it out. Restaurant's design is trendy, minimalist with a beautiful muted color story. The service is great here. Matthew was sweet and helpful. Additionally this place is regularly cleaned which is a huge plus. The tacos are a bit pricey ($6.99-7.19/each) but they are filling. I ordered my free taco along with a shrimp bowl, and the shrimp bowl came with a choice of tortillas or chips. This ended up being enough food for two meals for me, which made the $17 I paid for everything more like $8.50/meal. The chicken achiote has a slow building heat to it, and I'd recommend it if spicy foods don't mess with you. The only downside here is that I wish the chips were served warm and you had the option to get them with less salt. Don't forget to sign up for their rewards app! read more

My girlfriend and I decided to check out this Loqui location in Woodland Hills. She was lucky enough to be chosen for the Yelp Elite events participation, while I joined her on my maiden voyage to Loqui. Located in the Valley Country Market, there is plenty of free parking for guests and some other amazing retail outlets, including Blue Bottle Coffee, Lodge Bread Company and Van Leeuwen Ice Cream. The space is located right on the corner of Ventura Boulevard, and we were welcomed with strong, heartfelt greetings and friendly faces. My girlfriend ordered two of their tacos (Achiote Chicken and Beef Birria), while I opted for the Beef Birria Bowl. The space is colorful and vibrant, with some nice upbeat music piping through the speakers. There is also an outdoor pick up window, for those that wish to grab their food without leaving the parking lot. The seats were comfortable and spacious. Within 10 minutes, a very nice young man brought out our order and we began to enjoy our meal. My girlfriends tacos were quite large, and the homemade tortilla looked delicious. She said the birria was delicious, while the chicken was good, but not quite as good as the birria. My Beef Birria Bowl was also large, colorful and full of flavor. Served with cilantro-lime rice, pinto beans, guacamole, cotija cheese, pickled purple onion, cilantro and salsa, the birria was marinated and braised in chile and spices. They were quite delicious. Once thing I noticed was that the meat wasn't quite shredded down fully, with a few chunks stuck together, which required a knife (they didn't have), and some intelligent biting methods. In short, Loqui is making a play for Chipotle in the fast food Mexican game. I have to give the edge to Loqui in terms of the flavor and the portion sizes, especially for the tacos. The prices are $2-3 more on average for each comparable item, but the quality and freshness of the ingredients is definitely a few steps above Chipotle. We enjoyed our meal and I would venture out to try another option next time at Loqui Woodland Hills. read more

So we came here because quite a few people have said it's like Chipotle and/or Cava. Well, it's not. You don't choose your ingredients like those two places. It's really just a straight forward Mexican-ish fast food joint with a heavy emphasis on the "fast food". Not to say it isn't tasty but it lacks any home made or authentic traits. It's basically just a deconstructed taco in a bowl that they expect you to reconstruct on your own. The chicken and rice were decent but the beans were flavorless and slightly undercooked. The guacamole and chips came in a generous portion and had a refreshing brightness. The highlight was probably the side salsa that came with the nachos. Perfect balance of flavors, textures and heat.
