Food is really good, the nachos have nice crispy crunch won't get soggy! It's also a lively crowd for events, great sports bar. The service is good, our waiter was super nice I wish I got her name.

    Happy Hour Margarita Mangoneada shots

I called three different local bars and restaurants , not one of them was as welcoming as Fuego. I could hear that they were busy in the background and despite that, the man who answered the phone was patient answered all of my questions and encouraged us to come and visit. We had a group of 8 and upon arrival they took care of us immediately! Patio seating had shade to offer and two screens. Happy Hour was on throughout the entire game. Margaritas were yummy, food was good! Vibes were great! Staff were on top of orders, running food and bussing tables! Places that rhyme with Talaveras and Tame Changer Brew house should take notes! Thank you for a great experience!

Came here on a Thursday for happy hour (5-8 pm weekdays). There is a small parking lot in the back which we easily found parking at early in the night. They have $7 lime margaritas and $7 draft beers as of this review and $9 appetizers. On Tuesdays and Thursdays they have $2.50 tacos. There were four of us there for happy hour. My boyfriend got 2 strawberry margaritas (extra $1 for flavor) and 2 draft modelos. I got 2 lime margaritas and my friend had a decent amount. I would say that our drinks were a little weak, maybe because we seem young? I saw reviews saying their drinks were strong but ours were definitely not. The $9 5 bone in wings with fries seemed like a good deal. The $2.50 tacos were pretty good too. I got one Al pastor and one carne asada. My boyfriend got 3 carne asada and my friend got 4 vegetarian tacos. They were flavorful and came with homemade salsa The service was nice but I wish our drinks were stronger. I would be willing to give it another try, maybe not just for happy hour but a game or something! The tacos were good enough that I'd be back just for that as a snack since they were so cheap. Would maybe want to try one of their cocktails.

Quesa Birria tacos, and Asada nachos

Back at Fuego Bar & Grill and it never disappoints Every time we come, it's super clean, the portions are BIG, and the vibes are always on point. The service is always friendly and attentive -- you never feel ignored and everything comes out quick. Their happy hour is honestly one of the best $9 asada nachos that are HUGE and loaded We also got the quesabirria tacos and the consommé was sooo good... like you already know you have to dip every bite. Definitely one of our go-to spots -- consistent, great service, good food, and worth coming back every time

Came for Happy Hour. The Service- Very friendly and on top of it. The Place- Nice with a good vibe. Lots of TVs for sports fans. The Food- 1) Macho Nachos with Steak- Good and recommended. 2) Chicken Taquitos- Good and recommended. Parking- They have a small parking lot in the back but it was full when I got there. I was able to find street parking but I can see it could be challenging to find a spot during busy times.

The Wifey and I decided to come and check out this bar on Ventura and we are SO GLAD we stopped in. It's a small bar and grill but the food and drinks are worth trying. Wifey tried a peach mango margarita and they hit it on the spot. It's SOOOO GOOOOD. The atmosphere and music are def rocking with the drinks and the service has been phenomenal. Very attentive, quick and not overbearing. Perfect night we've had so far! Looking forward to coming back.

I attended an office party. Service was great. Ladies were attentive to drinks. Food was ok. It's touted as an American bar food with a Latin twist. I ordered a protein bowl and thought there would have been tacos served on the menu however, no tacos for a restaurant named Fuego. Tacos only available on Taco Tuesday and perhaps Thursday? No tacos during Happy Hour. Salsa has great kick though . It's located on a busy Ventura Blvd with little parking choices after 5:30 pm. Metered parking in front and a small lot in the back.

My partner and I came here on a whim quickly the other night before going to a show. The show was around the corner and we were looking for a fast bite to eat that still have happy hour. We were super pleased and surprised to see that they had a relatively late happy hour so we stopped by. I'll say the beginning of the experience was a little weird. We walked to the front door and looked inside and it looks like they were closed. No one was there, and somebody was cleaning the bar. It wasn't even 8 PM and it said they closed at 10 PM so we were a little confused. We walked around to see if there was another entrance and there wasn't. So we walked back and walked in, and it turns out they were open. Just very slow. We sat at the bar and eventually the bartender came to greet us. From there, everything was fine, she was sweet. I ended up just getting a house margarita, which was very good. And sliders and fries. My partner got zucchini fries. Both were good. There's nothing crazy to rave about, but I will say for the price it was a good deal. If we're back in the area, we wouldn't mind going back!

($18 - Hangar 1 Mandarin Blossom Vodka, cold-pressed pineapple juice, fresh raspberry purée, lime juice fresh mint topper). I'm not a big drinker and am a fan of drinks that you can't really taste the alcohol and this was great. It was a fun to drink and was refreshing. For our entree my friend had the Fish & Chips. ($27 - Crispy haddock fillet, sea salt fries, tartar sauce, grilled lemon). I tried a piece of her fish and it was thinly battered, soft, and flavorful. I usually try to stay away from fried fish like this just because places use way too much better or the fish gets super oily but they was not the case with their fish & chips. You can tell they use quality ingredients. I had the 4 piece Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice. ($34 - Fresh ahi, dynamite sauce, wasabi tobiko, togarashi, toasted sesame). Oh my goodness was this delicious. This is usually something you'd eat as an appetizer but eating it alone is a meal in itself. Yes, it's pricey BUT it is totally worth it. Saint & Second is an upscale dining experience. Their food delivers to that level as well. I highly recommend if you're looking for a new date night spot or something intimate with friends. You can really taste the freshness of all the ingredients they use.

However, in my two most recent visits, only the atmosphere has remained a highlight -- the service has declined significantly. My most recent visit was two nights ago, on Father's Day, for a celebratory dinner. Our server was curt and unwelcoming throughout the meal. When my glass of wine arrived, the server suggested I taste it first -- which I did -- and it was immediately apparent that the wine had turned. Having ordered the same wine many times before without issue, I was confident this particular bottle was off. When I asked our server if the bartender could open a fresh bottle, she agreed without hesitation. However, moments later, a gentleman I assumed to be the manager approached and informed me that a new bottle would not be opened, as the current one had only been opened the day before and was, in his opinion, fine. His only alternative was to offer the same varietal at a higher price point. I understand that restaurants may have policies regarding open bottles, but in all my years of dining out, I have never encountered an establishment that refused to replace a glass of wine a guest found unacceptable -- especially when the server herself had encouraged me to taste it for that very reason. This experience left a lasting negative impression, and unfortunately I will neither return nor recommend this restaurant going forward.

Most people contribute to a pot luck feast that spans the wide world of food, from hot dogs and chili to baked ziti, tacos, meatballs, fried chicken, Chinese food, and on and on -- including some amazing homemade clam chowder from Mike The Mailman. Bartender Natalie did an amazing job of handling the busy crowd with speed and smiles. There were a couple of other staffers on site to watch the game, and they jumped in when she needed a hand with this or that, but for the most part Natalie captained the bar single-handedly for the duration. Kudos to her. It's true, Super Bowl only comes once a year, so other game days don't have the pot luck feast -- Sugar Mill doesn't have a kitchen, though they're happy to have you bring in whatever food you like and eat it there. Paris, our server, was an absolute ray of sunshine. We decided to share a variety of dishes, which turned out to be the perfect way to experience the menu. I don't eat meat, but my fellow diners could not stop talking about the Braised Short Rib Rolled Lasagna. The Lemon Gnocchi was light and delicate, the beet salad was fresh and beautifully balanced, and the Crispy Squash Blossoms stuffed with ratatouille were absolutely delicious. The Cold Hamachi Aguachile was probably the most interesting dish of the night. It's almost like a fish snow cone, which sounds odd until you try it. My mom would call it "moreish" because every bite makes you want another. The Jumbo Prawns à la Plancha were also excellent. But the standout for me was the Eggplant Parmesan. It was completely over the top in the best possible way. If you told me to come back and order nothing but the eggplant and a martini, I'd happily call that dinner. What really stood out beyond the food was the pacing. Dishes arrived at just the right rhythm, the cocktails were excellent, and the playlist somehow added to the atmosphere without competing with the conversation. I took photos of everything, which should tell you how beautiful the food was, but the best part was simply having a genuinely fun evening with friends. Great food, great service, and a restaurant I'll absolutely be back to.

Another one of my favorite sayings is: don't take a Mexican girl to a Mexican restaurant--she'll never be happy. It's not really the restaurant's fault. My mom is just too good of a Mexican cook, so the bar is set ridiculously high. That being said, Sol y Luna does a lot of things right. The salsa here is amazing, and that's one of the biggest ways I judge a Mexican restaurant. If the salsa isn't good, we're already off to a bad start. Thankfully, that's not a problem here.I also love that they prepare the guacamole tableside. It's always fun to watch, and it doesn't get much fresher than that. Over the years, I've also run into quite a few famous people here, which adds a little extra excitement to the experience. Another thing I look for is mole. It's one of the most complicated and time-consuming Mexican recipes to make, and I absolutely judge a restaurant by whether they can pull it off. Today I went with tacos. They were okay, but for me the real standouts remain the salsa, the guacamole, and the overall atmosphere. If you're looking for a lively spot with great salsa, fresh tableside guacamole, and a little celebrity-spotting potential, Sol y Luna is worth it
