This neighborhood sports bar is just what you need on a weekday evening for happy hour. They have many TVs showing different sports at the same time, a nice size bar and bar area, in addition to regular tables and booth seating. The food is very much of bar food, with happy hour specials raging from five dollars to nine dollars. Five dollar beer and seltzers, seven dollar margarita, nine dollar appetizers. My favorites were the wings and pretzel. They do have a small private parking lot in the back and plenty of street parking nearby. The bartender, Taco, who was our server, had a very lively personality, which made or visit fun! If you're ever in the Tarzana area and looking for a dive bar, this is your place. read more

Went to Fuego over the weekend to watch the NFL playoff games. The bar and restaurant setting is very spacious, with plenty of TVs. They have great drink specials and food specials pretty much every day of the week. The staff was very welcoming, friendly, and attentive.I personally didn't love the food, but the location is great and the prices are pretty reasonable overall. I'd probably go back to try a different appetizer and grab a drink during happy hour. They also played really good music. Unfortunately, when we asked for the game sound to be turned on, they mentioned they have a new system and the staff wasn't quite sure how to work it yet. By the time someone who could help was available, we were already closing out our check and heading out. All in all, the staff is really great and the location is good. Parking on Ventura Boulevard can be difficult since they're close to another popular restaurant, but I went midday on a weekend and didn't have any issues. read more

Metered street parking may be hard to come by on weekends and evenings, but keep looking as there are no other options ;) Venue 4: Nice, modern venue with a large bar area as well as dining tables and a covered patio. Service 4: We were promptly greeted at the door and seated at an indoor table. Our server was polite, courteous and friendly. Drinks 4: A nice assortment of specialty cocktails, full bar, soft drinks and coffee. I had their twist on an Old Fashioned with Tequila and Mezcal instead of Bourbon, called Oaxaca Fashioned and I loved it. Fun fact that it did not originate here, and it was invented by Phil Ward at Death & Co in New York City. Food 4: American Bar Food with a Latin twist. Nice assortment of appetizers, tacos, sandwiches, burgers, Soups, salads, steak and ribs. We had the Fuego Burger and the Sunrise Burger, and both were excellent and highly recommended. I called three different local bars and restaurants , not one of them was as welcoming as Fuego. I could hear that they were busy in the background and despite that, the man who answered the phone was patient answered all of my questions and encouraged us to come and visit. We had a group of 8 and upon arrival they took care of us immediately! Patio seating had shade to offer and two screens. Happy Hour was on throughout the entire game. Came here on a Thursday for happy hour (5-8 pm weekdays). There is a small parking lot in the back which we easily found parking at early in the night. They have $7 lime margaritas and $7 draft beers as of this review and $9 appetizers. On Tuesdays and Thursdays they have $2.50 tacos. There were four of us there for happy hour. My boyfriend got 2 strawberry margaritas (extra $1 for flavor) and 2 draft modelos. I got 2 lime margaritas and my friend had a decent amount. I would say that our drinks were a little weak, maybe because we seem young? I saw reviews saying their drinks were strong but ours were definitely not. The $9 5 bone in wings with fries seemed like a good deal. The $2.50 tacos were pretty good too. I got one Al pastor and one carne asada. My boyfriend got 3 carne asada and my friend got 4 vegetarian tacos. They were flavorful and came with homemade salsa The service was nice but I wish our drinks were stronger. I would be willing to give it another try, maybe not just for happy hour but a game or something! The tacos were good enough that I'd be back just for that as a snack since they were so cheap. The Wifey and I decided to come and check out this bar on Ventura and we are SO GLAD we stopped in. It's a small bar and grill but the food and drinks are worth trying. My partner and I came here on a whim quickly the other night before going to a show. The show was around the corner and we were looking for a fast bite to eat that still have happy hour. We walked to the front door and looked inside and it looks like they were closed. No one was there, and somebody was cleaning the bar. It wasn't even 8 PM and it said they closed at 10 PM so we were a little confused. We walked around to see if there was another entrance and there wasn't. So we walked back and walked in, and it turns out they were open. Just very slow. We sat at the bar and eventually the bartender came to greet us. From there, everything was fine, she was sweet. I ended up just getting a house margarita, which was very good. And sliders and fries. My partner got zucchini fries. Both were good. When we arrived, it was still pretty slow, so we had our pick of tables; grabbed a 4-top in view of about 5 or 6 different TVs. Our server Toni was super friendly. As the place got busier, it was more difficult to grab her, but we never had to wait for too long. Throughout the afternoon/evening, we enjoyed some mix and match beer buckets (complete with hard seltzers (5 in a bucket for $25), some Onion Rings ($13), Bone-in Wings ($18), Chicken Macho Nachos ($20, extra cheese sauce is $1), and the Quesabirria Tacos ($18). All the food was fine; I wasn't wowed by anything, but it served its purpose and was all great sharing food. All checks more than $150 have an automatic 20% gratuity added on, FYI. Not a problem, as we would have tipped her that, but, good to know so you don't inadvertently double tip. I love this place. It often seems quiet, so its very easy to have conversation, great drinks, service & food. The bar tender I had was such a gentleman with a great sense of humor & their HH is AWESOME. They have their own parking in the back & meters out front -- way more accessible & convenient than SyL (sorry.) They also have a patio for when it starts to cool down in the Fall which would be awesome because I love taking my dogs with me. I came here on a Wednesday nite & in walked in a blast from the past - my KJ from another local spot. As your local karaoke lover, I was so happy to find out they have karaoke at nite from 9-12? The place is decorated in a very lively manner, vast with TVs and the bar being at the center of the establishment. Our server was very nice and kind, she gave exceptional service. We ordered some menu items: - Appetizer: BBQ chicken wings with ranch This was okay. The chicken wings were soft and tender, but they were so small we thought it was boneless chicken wings at first. It was a bit disappointing to eat through these, but we liked it better than our entrees. - Entrees: Smoked BBQ ribs and Fuego burrito The burrito was dry and plain. The good part was the salsa on the side to dip it in to add more moisture and flavor to it. But it was very unappealing to eat. My girlfriend only ate half of it and didn't really want to eat any more of it. The BBQ ribs I ordered were so dry and was hard to chew off of the bone! I was disappointed by the meat quality of the ribs and felt like the sauce brushed on top is really the only tasty part of it. The food tasted very plain and nothing exceptional. The vibes inside are nice however and the staff was once again super friendly. This spot seems to be great if you are in the mood for alcohol, lively chatter, and sports-related TV watching. I had a great experience at Fuego Bar and wanted to share it! My girlfriend and I originally planned to go to Sol y Luna, but Fuego caught my eye next door, so we decided to give it a try--and I'm really glad we did. From the start, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was great. The prices were about what I'd expect for the valley, and the menu had a lot of variety, which made it tough to choose (in a good way). I ended up going with the buffalo sliders and a quesadilla, and both were delicious. The buffalo sliders had just the right amount of heat and flavor, and the quesadilla was solid as well. On top of that, the drinks were really good, making the whole experience even better. There's still so much on the menu that I want to try, so I'll definitely be coming back. I always see two ladies working the tables and greeting you when you walk in, and they always seem to be in a great mood. The owner is also always working, greeting those that come in and thanking those on their way out, you can't hate the guy. Didn't want to be stuck in traffic for over 2.5 hrs to get home, so I decided to come here and grab a drink, watch some games, and let the traffic die down. They have minimal parking on the street but a large parking lot to the back. I was the first one here for at least an hour, which was really nice. They got televisions all over the place.
