Apparently, they recently opened a second, year-round location in Freeland, behind the CVS, but I…read morehaven't been...I fell in love with this spot (seasonal food truck with a beautiful dining set-up) back in the fall when I snatched up an epic breakfast sandwich coming through Drums on 309, between Mountaintop and Hazleton. Don't let the lack of gray hair fool you, these young ladies can COOK. They completely understand ingredient profiles and flavor combinations; I think they could take the crown on Chopped. Their eyes lit up at some of their own personal favorites when I asked for recommendations, and I feel like that's the passion you want in a local sandwich shop; a place where the employees get excited about eating their own damn food! Give a man a club sandwich, you feed him for a day...teach a man that every club sandwich deserves a hearty chunk of perfectly-ripened avocado, you feed him for life! Let's just call them the BLT queens, since they're dishing out avocado edicts for all sandwich types. Don't get me wrong, I love mayo...but you don't need that much when they pair it with the creamy avocado for the perfect savory sandwich spread. Crispy, diner-inspired bacon, toasted bread that wasn't dark to give it a little chew, you can legitimately eat these in the car; I know there's a trend of making sandwiches super sloppy, but these held together with some well-placed 'picks. I sucked down one of their tasty smoothies before I could take the pic, plus an acai bowl to boot, there's no slim pickins here!

Drove past here with my gf and had to turn around she thought it was so cute. Glad we did because…read moreit exceeded our expectations for a roadside food truck. There is outdoor seating which was pink and floral themed, a nice atmosphere for a summer morning. The BLT was good and refreshers were refreshing. Everything came out fast, well worth the quick stop!

I love Gyros! I have had Gyros in many places across the U.S.. Some I like more than others, but I…read morehave always at least been able to eat what I have been served... Until today when I ordered a Gyro from The Greek Shack. They showed fries on the Gyro in the picture but did not mention them in the description, while providing an upgrade option for fries, so I assumed I would not get fries on my Gyro. In my very strong opinion, fires don't make a Gyro better. In my even stronger opinion overcooked fries that were cooked in very very old oil and smell rancid and are nothing more than mush don't make ANYTHING better. The fries were gross. I picked them out of my food and gave the Gyro a fighting chance. Gyro meat should be freshly sliced off the spit for the best results. The gyro meat at The Greek shack is pre-formed and frozen. They even made it worse in the reheating as it was also overcooked and tasted off. Nothing authentic going on here, they just reheat frozen meat that came from a factory. This was hands down the worst Gyro I have ever tasted. Not close. There are no competitors. The Tzatziki, which I ordered an extra side of, is also the worst Tzatziki sauce I've had. Just tastes dull, no pop from the lemon or garlic and no discernable mint or dill. I mean the sauce is pure white, so I'm pretty sure they do not use mint or dill in the recipe. I'm so incredibly disappointed. I worked a long day and thought I was taking a safe bet on one of not only my favorite food items but one that was also my father's favorites. I've been eating Gyros on the regular for more than 40 years now and I travel for work so I eat them all over. I've had them in Coronado, CA, Denver, CO, SLC, UT, San Francisco, CA, KC, MO, Phoenix, AZ, Las Vegas, NV, Boise, ID, Billings, MT. And more. I love Gyros. This one was gross. I could not eat it.
