    Quesabirria special
    Julia R.

Los agaves is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Goleta. The service is always quick and friendly, you order up at the counter and then sit with your table number and your food is brought to you. The inside has a classic Santa Barbara feel to it and is warm and inviting. They also have a very organized take-out system, and their online ordering is really easy and convenient. The guacamole is fresh and while it's a little pricey, the portion os generous. The steak nachos had toppings spread throughout the chips, not just sitting on top which has been my experience at some other restaurants. The quesabirria special is my go to dish here, the meat is so tender and flavorful!

The food came out mega fast. The food was above average I'll give it. The told us the kids meal was small so we orders 2 but it's pretty big, kids can share. Nachos were amazing and the staff was super good

Passing by and found this on yelp. Pretty good. Very thing seemed fresh. Portions are a good size. I had the two fish taco plate. My husband had the agave burrito. He really liked it. Guacamole was good. Salad bar had a good section. Staff were super helpful and friendly and the restaurant was really clean.

Dinner here is a staple for me! There are two locations, one in Goleta and another in Downtown SB. Casual dining but very crowded almost every night. The service is always quick whether you dine in or get take out. Dining in you get table chips and then can take full advantage of the homemade salsa bar. My favorite dish is the chicken chimichanga, yum! The quesadilla and flautas are also tasty, and the smothered burritos are very popular. Large portions make sure you will always leave full and satisfied!

    Mole Enchiladas

I got the mole chicken enchiladas, the enchiladas were really oily. The beans were on the runnier side and rice was a bit bland. I did enjoy the environment of the restaurant because you have a choice of indoor seating or outdoor seating. They have a salsa bar available. You order at the counter and they bring the food out to you.

    Burnt $13 nachos! Terrible

I thought I would give them one more chance. I mean, all I ordered was one crispy beef taco - how hard could that be? Apparently it's THIS hard! This is such a terrible taco I almost started laughing. It's one tiny blob of meat and one tiny squirt of sour cream and a tiny bit of wilted iceberg lettuce - FOR $7.50! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Let's forget for the moment that there's only about 1 tablespoon of meat on this taco, but there's not even any cheese! A picture speaks 1000 words, and this one says it all. Rest assured I will never be back again.

Los Agaves is my absolute favorite place to eat in Goleta after so many years of living here. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. Anytime someone visits me, I bring them to this Los Agaves at some point. The vibes are also amazing with the service being so great. The workers are so kind and welcoming. If you are passing by on a roadtrip- I recommend! Quick service and great food.

California burrito and rice! Muy delicioso
    Jen F.

My first time eating at this restaurant. The ambience was great, good music. The service was fast and helpful. The food was delicious, I ordered the California burrito and it was on point. My mom ordered sopes, and yummy the black beans were so good. Definitely going back.

    Chicken Burrito Mojado
    C M.

So so good!! Have never had a bad item from the menu. I had the chicken burrito mojado today and it definitely did not disappoint. One thing to note is seating can be a little crowded/busy, but it has never been a huge issue for me. There's an extensive salsa bar where you can refill as much as you would like and they also serve chips with dine-in orders. They give you a number and bring the food to your table. Def recommend stopping by!

Best tacos and salsa. Love the steak releno entree. Prefer Milpas location to Goleta for dining inside.

Let's taco bout Roger's Tacos!…read more This is a pop-up stand that operates anywhere and everywhere in Isla Vista (IV). In the beginning, they mostly bounced around different backyards along Del Playa Drive (DP). Recently, they're doing more partnerships with local businesses and fundraisers with student orgs, frats, and sororities. For address information and updates, you will have to follow @rogerstacos on Instagram. Most of the time they start after 4:30 PM and end around 10:00 PM to 12:00 AM, unless they run out of food before. As of January 2023, the typical menu is: Tacos - $2.25 Burritos - $11.25 Cheese Burritos - $13.00 Mulitas - $4.00 Quesadillas - $8.50 Horchata - $2.25 Rice - $2.00 Beans - $2.00 Extra Cheese - $1.25 They accept Venmo! It's safe to say that these tacos are the best in IV. The al pastor is freshly sliced, they bring in one of those vertical broilers that rotate the meat. The asada was prepared nicely, I was expecting it to be a little more charred but it was cooked thoroughly. The pollo was juicy. Toppings and sauces are self-served. Since they set up shop in random college student houses, don't expect too much in terms of ambiance. Seating can be limited, we stood around a dirty beer die table in the backyard of a DP apartment. But it had a great view of the Pacific Ocean. In an article written about the owner Rogelio Muñoz, I read he wanted to open his taco stand at UC Santa Barbara someday, becoming a permanent food stall in the Arbor. It would be amazing if that happened, wishing him all the best!

This one sits in a strip mall so there is plenty of free parking and seats to eat at. My wife was bummed that there was no more sea urchin to be bought when we pulled in at dinner time but the fried fish taco special was too good to pass up so we both ordered that, the kiddo got the grilled salmon plate, and we also got a bowl of clam chowder to share. All the food was delicious! The fish tacos were the way I like them- a big piece of fish with cabbage, a little pico de gallo, and a dollop of sauce- not too many overpowering flavors to let the fish be the star of the show. The clam chowder was creamy with plenty of clams, and the salmon plate had great salmon that was cooked nicely (still moist) and what was likely an entire avocado sliced up on the plate. Great food, we'd definitely come back!

Really enjoyed the fresh oysters here. The smallest, most expensive one (they had a few different ones that day so I tried one of each) was understandably the tastiest and creamiest of the bunch. The other ones were good too, and all of them had a salty brine on them. They also provided some lemon wedges, marinara (?) sauce, and hot sauce. The fried soft-shell crab burger was interesting to try once, not particularly my taste but if you like fried soft-shell crab it could be great for you. I would like to come back, especially for the fresh oysters. Hoping to try some other menu items next time.
