I have been shopping at this store for 7 years never had an experience like this morning! I ordered carne asada burrito and the hot sauce was so salty my mom was unable to eat it the burrito, In wich was cut In half to share with my little niece. When I told the cashier Karen she was no help not concerned at all. I asked for a refund and she stated since we took 2-3 bites she was unable to I asked to speak to a manager she said she couldn't provide information. Never again will I return! read more

I've been here a few times, and I'm not sure if the people who work up front can't hear or they just don't care because it's been multiple times my food has been wrong, and when you try to talk the cooks they get angry and give you an attitude. Have been going to this market for almost two years. The asada and the birria tacos are delicious. I've also ordered the family packets for work events and they come with the meat, rice, beans, salsa and tortillas. Everyone loves the meat as it's seasoned well and it's delicious. Even though the carnitas and cabeza tacos are really good for some reason they can't make basic bean and cheese burrito , if their life's depended on it . Beans were salty and so cold the cheese didn't event melt . The cashiers are a bit nicer but not by much , but at least today they did answer the phone , another bad thing ,is even if they know you as a long time customer . And you call in an order They still don't make the food until you 've paid and when you arrive there could as many as 10 people ahead of you , so don't waste your time calling . Tried this place for the first time today. OMG not only was it good but they are well served tacos and burritos. Lots of meat and beans, etc. Will be back for sure. we got asada burritos and taco de cabeza, taco de buche and a carnitas taco. And 2 lbs of mixtas which I guess is a mixture of carnitas, buche and cueritos. I can't wait to try that later or tomorrow. I got so full with 2 tacos. And normally at other places I get like five tacos, haha. No need for that here. read more

I've seen this place all my life be under different ownership, different names and different stores, etc. I remember it was a Spanish market, then it was a semi liquor store, and many different others. It never was a place I'd be caught going to. But it was in my neighborhood. Anyways, I first heard about the more recent store it is now, Los Altos and its kitchen. It's hot inside but the food looked good and smelled good too. There's all the basic meats like Asada,chicken, and carnitas. Rice and beans, tortas, tacos, I mean the list goes on. I ordered a Bean and Cheese burrito with carne Asada added to it. The amount of food this burrito had in it was ridiculous. This was one fat burrito. A real unknown treasure. Yes it is a market, and they have good prices on their produce, but the real treasure is the takeout restaurant. The best carne asada burrito that I have had since moving to California, with everything in it, without a doubt the most tasty. Also get the carne nachos. They load it up with whatever meat you get, but also a lot of guacamole, cheese, and everything else. Always a friendly staff waiting to help you there, very helpful. When I worked right down the road, this was my go to place. I would bring my young son to work with me at times and to this day, Los Altos is his favorite Mexican food to eat. This place is a gem in my neighborhood of Casa Blanca. I love their fresh meats (favorite is the fresh chorizo, they sell the dry chorizo too!) and condiments. They make and sell their own tortillas, salsas, cremas (Sour cream), and guacamole. If you need a quick stop for some fresh tortillas or cebollas, tomatoes, chiles, etc., come here, there is NEVER a line and the prices are great. Despite it being a Meat Market, they are also a restaurant and juice shop. They always have 4-5 fresh aguas frescas on deck, including horchata fresca, pepino and melon. The burritos are the best and jam packed with meat. I highly recommend this little whole in the wall joint. You might find a transient outside but eh, they don't bother anyone so it doesn't bug me. read more

I grew up next to the border and I crave those real deal tacos all the time. I heard of this place on Facebook and made a trip and have been making weekly trips ever since.
