Food 5/5: Ordered the Smoked Brisket Fries and Build Your Own BBQ Bowl with mac and cheese and brisket (and a patty for our dog). Both dishes were delicious - all elements well-made with flavors that worked really well together. The brisket in the Build Your Own bowl was a bit more tender as it was in larger slices as opposed to shredded. The pup patty was a mix of crispy pieces and very tender and juicy, which our little guy loved. Sometimes when we get him pet-specified food from restaurants it leads to upset stomach, but not here! Service: We came here particularly because we knew their patio was pet friendly, but little did we know that our little guy was allowed to walk in to order at the counter with us, and would get a perfectly made patty just for him! Price $$: Prices are reasonable for a BBQ spot, though the amount of meat you get isn't a ton. I've been here a few times now and have always enjoyed dining here! I was craving some chicken tenders so I decided to get the spicy chicken tenders which came with bread and some pickles. One thing to note is that it doesn't come with fries but you do get a sizable three tenders instead of two that you'd get at other places so it's a fair trade off. Tenders were really good! Flavorful and super juicy. Medium was perfect for me as it packed a punch without being too spicy. I think I've gotten their brisket on other occasions which was solid as well. The moment I saw "BBQ" on the menu, I was hooked. I ordered the 'BBQ Bowl with Mac n' Cheese, Smoked Brisket, Fried Onions, and BBQ sauce' and it was phenomenal. The brisket was incredibly tender and delicious, just as good as what I had in Texas. Everything about my meal was excellent. A great bonus: they offer beer, which pairs perfectly with the meal. Some of my friends and I came here for a quick bite after work. We ordered at the counter and then they gave us a number to take to our table. I really liked that their menu had so many pictures because it made ordering that much easier! We sat outside and the waiter brought our food out for us. There was music playing but pleasant and not too loud. The bathroom was clean and well maintained! I ended up getting the brisket quesadilla and it was delicious! I loved that they crisped up the cheese on the outside to give it a nice crunch when you bite into it! It was gooey on the inside, the meet was cooked very nicely and was juicy, and with that crispy exterior, it was all things a good quesadilla should be! I also got a mango margarita which had nice mango flavor but i couldn't taste any alcohol. they were offering free refills during happy hour so perhaps that was why. So I have been hitting up S&F Social Eatery whenever I have the extra drive time on the way to work. I love the 1lb Brisket, and the Big Texan. Funny it was Instagram sending pictures of their food before they opened that did me in. I had to go. I NEEDED TO GO. Those pictures called out to me. And they delivered. Always polite, offering a bite of one of the sides to try. It is hard to get through some of the meals when it is big. But I manage. Try it out It is a order at the register and they bring the food to you. So it doesn't hurt to look up the menu in advance to get an idea of what appeals to you. Upon entering, it was more dark than lit, so it produced a chill vibe. There were plenty of tables available, plus outdoor seating (too hot outside, though). You go straight to the menu TVs and wait for the cashier to take your order. We ordered the 1/2 lb brisket meal, the 1lb brisket meal, the brisket tacos, a side of white rice and a side of fries and a drink plus 3 water cups. We were given a free cornbread for stopping by. The food came out quickly even though there was a steady flow of customers. We added salt to our liking, but the brisket was good! I had the tacos and they were exceptional! The cornbread was good. Overall, our meal cost $72, including a 3% service fee. When you're done with your meal you empty your own trays in the trash receptacle and stack them up. read more

The brisket was cooked perfectly. Great flavor. Tender. Rendered fat perfectly. I'd say this was done right. The accoutrements were also good. Buttery bread, a nice fresh coleslaw. What is it about this bread that makes it so perfect for BBQ? Mac and cheese was pretty standard. Nothing really stood out. Inside was standard, clean with alot of tables. Coca Cola fountain drinks. Villain Brewery items, definitely worth a shot if I was dining in. Several tables outside. I would put Smoke & Fire up with decent BBQ at a good price. $26/lb for brisket is pretty standard for real BBQ spots. If the meat is this good, their other food items should be good too; and I would definitely put this place on your list to try. read more

This was our first visit to the Canyon Crest location, though we had been to the Anaheim spot about three years ago. We were craving lunch and decided to check out Smoke & Fire. To our surprise, it wasn't too busy, which was great. Parking in this complex can be tricky, but we lucked out with a spot right up front. The restaurant has two walk-in entrances, making access convenient. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and assisted right away. This is a counter-service restaurant, so you order first and then find a seat. The lighting is on the dimmer side, creating a relaxed atmosphere that stays fairly quiet depending on how many guests are dining. It was tough to choose what to order--everything on the menu looked great! We finally decided on the Nashville Chicken Fries and Brisket Tacos, and added a side of mac and cheese. We weren't overly hungry, but the portions were generous--especially the fries. As for the food: the coleslaw on the chicken fries was just the right touch, and the waffle fries had a nice balance of flavor and texture. The brisket tacos were the real standout--absolutely amazing. The brisket was perfectly smoked, and paired beautifully with the coleslaw and cilantro. The mac and cheese was also rich and flavorful, a great complement to the rest of the meal. Overall, we'll definitely be back--though next time we'll probably order a little less since we had plenty of leftovers to take home. I've been here several times before and I believe I even left a five-star review for this place previously. It's been a while since I've been back since we moved and something has changed. We were super excited to come back to celebrate since we remembered this place with only good thoughts and were in the area. There are different items on the menu so we decided to try the burger waffle fries and the bbq bowls. It was just not good. The burger waffle fries were okay but the bowls were just not good. I was very disappointed, especially given how 3 bowls and the waffle fries came out to just under $100. And the bowls were fairly small as well. The Mac n cheese in the bowls just wasn't...cheesy and/or tasty...and I'm not even sure how to properly describe the the pickled veggies but the taste and smell of them grossed me out. So something about their pickling process is off. The cashier ringing us up seemed bored and it felt like we were a nuisance to her somehow. She didn't seem friendly and just quickly kept saying "uh-huh" as we were ordering, making us feel rushed. When I asked for to-go lids, I filled up my water while waiting for her. Then I noticed she was walking around cleaning up and started wondering when she was going to bring the lids since it had seem like she walked off to grab them immediately after I asked. I eventually found that she had just set them on the counter without saying anything and expected me to just find them on my own I guess. Inside is always cold, which is nice on a hot day. We sat outside though since it had cooled off. Unfortunately all the tables outside were dirty except for one. That one table was probably clean because no one can sit there. It was so unstable we almost lost our drinks just trying to sit down, so we had to clean our own table and chairs at a different table. I can't express how sad and disappointed we were with everything: the food, the service, the cleanliness...just such a stark contrast to how we remember it being. read more

They definitely have some amazing menu items, the range makes it exciting to try multiple opinions at once. I would say the best thing out of the three items i ordered (brisket grilled cheese, brisket mac and cheese, and mac and cheese balls), was the brisket mac and cheese. The portion was well worth the price and flavors were balanced. As for the brisket grilled cheese, it was maybe a 8/10 because there was not that much cheese in the sandwich.
