I dumped the old "granola" in the trash.
Jay T.

I am not sure how this place has 4 stars. It is full of flies! I used to eat here not often but a few times you know their tacos were decent but recently it's gone from ehhh it's ok to terrible. It smells horrible and there are flies literally everywhere! I ordered a Fresca con creme to get a cup full of whipped cream! With a little bit of frozen strawberries, cost $4.50. The "granola" on top was clearly old and tasted like it's been in that Tupperware for a looooong time! I didn't know all those flies were back there until after I paid... Honestly I don't even know why I ordered anything to eat from this place, their food use to be good but with the ladies having nails and rings on cooking the food touching it with no gloves I should have known. They need a deep cleaning they have like 12 ppl working someone needs to be cleaning! I just threw the whole thing away.. my 8 year old didn't even want to touch it..

My favorite place to get tacos here in Riverside. It's super lowkey because the tacos are made in the back of the market. I always come here to get their $1 tacos. You order at the register in the front and take the ticket to the back where they will make your tacos right before your eyes! I love the asada and the carnitas. Their meat is always nice and tender. The tacos are a bit small but they always stack the meat on top. They have an area in the back with lots of tables. The service is also fast but they seem a bit unwelcoming towards me and my boyfriend.

Delicious tacos! Cabeza and al pastor!

So this place, super low-key, hole in the wall, or rather hole in the convenience store. I am so glad I found this place, when after eating at kimchichanga, I looked across the street and saw 1 dollar tacos. I was down of course, gotta try all those new places yknow. Essentially the price is 1 dollar plus tax, or rather they charge 1.10 per taco. The options are cabeza, pollo, al pastor, carne asada, and mixto (which consists of carnitas, buche, and cuerito. Overall, this place I gotta say is really awesome! Really affordable tacos, pretty much taco Tuesday everyday, with pretty authentic tacos made in the back kitchen. The tortillas are fried in lard, and a generous scoop of meat is added on top (it may be from a container, but they pretty much make a batch constantly so its still relatively fresh), and the classic toppings of cilantro, onions, and salsa, with a lime. Also, the service is really quick, you pay at the front, bring the receipt to the kitchen, and within 3 minutes ur chowing down. My personal favorite is the cabeza, it's really tender and they put a good amount of it. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants taco Tuesday everyday, or actually, everyone should come try this hidden gem. Just don't everyone come at once, cuz then the lines will be too long and I can't get my tacos in 3 minutes.

The taqueria menu. Note that certain meats are available on weekends only.

I finally stopped by to check this place out. I came in on a Sunday and ordered the menudo and some tacos. The menudo (no hominy con pata) was very good. It came with 3 large, thick, homemade corn tortillas that were delicious. The tacos mixtos were also great and the asada was average as its cooked on a flat top griddle then placed in those stainless steel containers with a lid which continues to cook the meat in its own steam. Order at the register and they give you a ticket that you take to the cooks in the back. They have various items on the menu that I will have to try.

Meat is very thick and hard to chew. They don't give out prices from the meat department over the phone either.

Good place to get Tacos and snacks. But I don't need Soldier Boy to open the door for me. It makes me feel uncomfortable.

I immediately felt like I mattered as a person, not just a customer. Her assistance and knowledge and kindness was absolutely incredible, she was very helpful and knowledgeable about everything I needed assistance with. The store is impeccably clean and well kept, much nicer than the store in my area. I ended up coming back for a second trip because of my forgetting a fruit platter. I ended up being checked out the second time by another young lady named Allee, who was also every bit as friendly as Becca from my first trip. I can't express how grateful I am for these two ladies and all their help. Thank you both so very much! I definitely will be back to this wonderful location again!

I observed a team of very busy ladies with pleasant attitudes, welcoming body language, and I imagine smiles under their well covered masked faces! I witnessed careful cutting and arrangements of fruit, pastries and other items we eventually consume. The atmosphere was light, welcoming and one to sit back and appreciate! I was greeted by Adriana, who stopped working to go retrieve my order. The cupcakes are for my granddaughters team party today. I give Cherise, their head bakery full flowers for an awesome presentation! Each little one will have yummy cupcakes and a ring! It takes skill and patience for my order of 24 to be perfect! Great job! The design is perfect for us and age appropriate. She is truly gifted with craft and expertise. Liz was carefully cutting fruit and designing several dishes at once. Her gloved hands demonstrated how much care she put into her every stroke. Lea made the cake pops desired and provided a presentation that made me want to purchase those too! Bright and beautiful! Mary Helen was nearby preparing the deli chicken with dynamite care. Although I came for the wonderful cupcakes that Cherise provided with care, I left with an amazing smile, feeling refreshed at such awesome technical care that goes into each bakery item. Be in awe watching each piece of fruit cut, crafted and placed in perfect design! Well done ladies! I will return to this location for another round of excellent service!

When I asked an employee in the produce section whose name was Juan Pablo for assistance, I was told, "no, the people in the tortilla section are already home asleep." I later called the store to speak with a manager regarding the experience. When I asked if I could speak to a manager, the person who answered Jose, repeatedly responded with "how can I help you" instead of confirming their role, this made the interaction feel unprofessional and frustrating. They're basically all just cucumber and rice. The ones with any fish seem to be priced at $6 and even then it's like the tiniest slivers of tuna. They have poke bowls as well, but something is seriously wrong with the seaweed salad in them. It's straight up gray, not green, and so I've been too scared to try one. There are managers specials frequently, as well as discounted prepared food often available in the late afternoon. I'm fond of the kale and apple salad, and there's a black garlic shrimp platter that is delicious as well. If you can catch them on sale, I'd definitely recommend picking them up!
