Place is BOMB! My dad is a butcher and even gave this spot a 10/10! The prime meats are beautifully cut and the chorizo blends they have are to die for. I live in West LA and drive out to take some back home to grill up! Super worth the drive, especially since chorizo that is actually flavorful and made with good meat and not all greasy and oily. I wanted to grill some carne asada last week and forgot this carnicería is like a couple of minutes away from me. I bought some marinated ranchera and chicken. The store is small, but they have a nice variety of meats and they also have some vegetables and drinks you can purchase. My whole family enjoyed the meat and chicken. It was flavorful! Now that I have tasted a few different meats from their butchery, I am ready and willing to tell the world what my perception of Su Carniceria is. And it is all good. Walking in for the first time, I was surprised at how small the actual store is. There is the meat counter, a small refrigerated section for good looking, fresh produce, and a few metal rack shelves carrying dry goods and other essentials for a complete meal. The butcher does his magic in the back, behind a wall. But who can take their adoring eyes off the gorgeous prime grade meats that fill the case here. Moving several steps toward the back, the great selection of marinated beef and chicken thighs, the chicken al pastor, and 3 types of chorizo, from mild to melt-the-paint, spicy hot, caught my eye. The butcher explained that the marinated beef is the same quality as their beautifully marbled steaks, not the tough cuts like other stores. Yes! And the prices? Assume that prime ain't cheap. But honestly, comparing their prices with other local carnicerias offering the same prime grade, they seemed to be about equal, if not a little cheaper. The marinated meats are far more budget-friendly and in line with other local butcheries. So the final test was in the tasting, and *that* we did over the span of a few days. We stuck with the prepared meats, the chicken and beef, and frankly I was very impressed even though Mr. B chose to sear them on a griddle rather than take them outside to the bbq. Well, it *was* January after all. Both developed a lovely char, yet stayed very moist, and honestly evoked eye-rolling moans of delight. Far better, I thought, than my usual carniceria close by. As for the chorizo, mine (the mild version, of course) is still waiting in the freezer for it's day to shine, so no comment, yet. I am really looking forward to becoming a regular patron here, and I made sure my two adult children, who are both so lucky to live much closer than I, know of my stamp of approval. Turn on your GPS to find them. Their biggest misfortune is that they are hidden in a small strip mall with an unobstructed view of the eastbound 91 freeway, at the Pierce Street offramp. I went there for the first time this Sunday, which was May 2, 2026, They were very very helpful. The quality of their meat is superb even though it's a small place it is all quality . I brought it home, and cook for some friends, and it was all amazing The owner Lalo gave me a couple of samples you don't see that any more, and his daughter at the counter along with all the butchers were all very attentive, and great. Disappointed and Misled I called ahead to ask if they had A5 Wagyu in stock. The woman who answered confidently told me yes, and even mentioned they had T-bone and tri-tip cuts available. I specifically asked if it was Australian or Japanese A5 Wagyu, and she assured me they had both. I drove across town and got there in about 15 minutes, only to be told they were sold out. She then claimed "everyone bought them today." Really? I felt completely misled. If you're going to tell customers you have something in stock, at least double-check before they make the trip. Wasting people's time like that isn't a good look. read more

I do have to say the flavors of the seasoning are on point. They all don't taste the same. You can actually taste the meat which is key when you buy seasoned meats. The place is clean and in order. Decided to stop by my favorite carniceria for something to dip my cup in for margaritas on this fine Sunday. They had some flavors to choose from but I decided to give strawberry a try and was not disappointed. Loved this flavor. I usually head towards Norwalk and hit a carnicería out there with thinly sliced ranchera style meat. But I decided to take a shot and try this place. Seen the pictures of this store and it seemed sort of similar like the one in Norwalk. Went in and I saw freshly cut meat, place was clean and way more room inside compared to the other store I go to. Ordered some meat and got there mix aguante and habanero salsa and I was out. Is it pricey??? Yes a bit but you are paying for great cuts of fresh meat. When it's quality like this? There is no time to complain over the price. Trust me great meat, great service and no bs. You're in, out and grilling. When I saw the meat, it's not as thin as I like it but it smelled amazing. Cooked it over some Sonora mesquite and it just kept smelling better and better. Time for the moment of truth... YES! I don't have to go on a drive for great carne asada!! Besides that type of meat they have other cuts as well. Pretty sure you can ask for a specific cut and they maybe able to accommodate you. Again MAYBE, it never hurts to ask. Super clean, great advice given on cut of meat but the best part was the TOP quality offering of meat! The rib eyes were cut like a prime steak house would cut, the tomahawk looked ahhhhmazing. They even had a japanese wagu steak. I went in for Pollo asada and came out with the best ever meat, chicken, shrimp and veggies.
